The most bedbug-ridden place I have seen so far. Pretty bad in all other aspects too - dirty, smelly, poorly furnished, and way overpriced compared to its (lack of) quality.
I liked the location didn't like the no bathroom in the room and the service was horrible very rude people

It smelled like a restaurants vent in the hallway and there's a really dirty carpet, but the room itself was nice, clean and not smelly.

Dirty, hot, noisy, did I mention dirty? No sheets, filthy communal restrooms. The air con motor must have been next to my room 201. I got all of the noise and heat, none of the benefit. Surprised it's allowed to even stay open.

Location was ok - North Beach - felt safe and not too far from downtown and Pier 39, good cafés/restaurants close by; My room was spacious and had big windows overlooking the street. I could see Lombard Street from my room; Never lacked toilet paper in the bathroom; I was able to see the room before I accepted it; TV and mini-fridge worked; Sink in bedroom and cupboard to store my clothes; Big mirror.
Everything else. Smells in corridors; Bathroom smelt, NO SHOWER (!!!) only a bath which was not really clean and I had to share it with other rooms (not sure how many!); General cleanliness of my room not great - especially some drawers; Horrible soap, really hard to rinse; Staff struggled to find my booking amongst their pile of printed sheets from Booking.com - it was much pricier than I expected to the extra tax; Hot during the day, but at night too cold as air came in through a window that did not shut properly. I had to ask for an extra blanket which was threadbare; Wifi kept dropping; Did not feel very safe as a solo woman (only saw weird middle-aged men staying in the hotel); Tourist buses stopping just under my window, as well as cable cars, so sleeping in is not possible; Definitely NOT value for money.
Great location between North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf. Great value: cheapest room in sf: even cheaper than two hostel/dorm beds at Green Tortoise! Reasonably clean. Early check-in no problem. Asked for one of the round rooms on corner and got it. The round rooms have a real old-SF charm to them. Private sink in room (hall bathrooms); like Europe. Freshly painted. Great view from room: Coit Tower, Transamerica Bldg, cable cars.
Some really basic amenities missing. No trash can or coat hangers in room. No recycling. Had booked room for two people but the confirmation came back for one person; had to have booking.com confirm with hotel. Hall carpet in good shape but dirty. Just linoleum tile in room. It would be easy to upgrade this hotel. Some permanents in hotel but no problems with this.

I did not like the facilities and cleaniness. The washroom locted outside the bedroom and i even found bedbugs on my be. The poorest hotel i have ever slept and i will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

lack of parking, sent an e-mail asking about it, no response. no trash can in the room. The older lady took my credit card into another room to swipe it. and it seemed like she was fussing at the guy in another language
Disgusting unsanitary conditions like homeless shelter, but for $85 friggin dollars a night and most noizy place in the world to rent a room. I booked 2 nights. Room next to office obviously has a damned camera on the ceiling just above the door in old plastic fire alarm housing with a square hole cut out. Bathrooms are beyond unsanitary. Staff are foreigners who aren't friendly. Only worth $10 a night since it's typical 3rd world condition for a guesthouse. Thin walls, incredibly loud train and fire truck noise, beds are just rediculously uncomfortable. Homeless shelters I've stayed in were both much better...
You pay for what you get. Entella is within a couple of blocks of Mariott and other brands at $400 a night. Easy 10 min walk to Fishermans Wharf and on major bus route so very easy to get around. Helpful staff and great coffee shop downstairs.
Vinyl in the floor, very basic furniture and not even a rail in the wardrobe. Share bathroom with a lot of long term tenants who are clearly struggling through life. Not a place for a younger single gal I think just would not feel safe although don't think this would be an issue.

You can not beat the location being in the heart of Sa Fran. I had a room that overlooked the street so it was fun to people watch. Wish I had more time and definitely will be back to the Golden City. For the price you can't beat it very clean and friendly staff.
I have booked two twin beds and IT was a very small bed- too small for a kid of 10 years Impossible for 2 persons Staff do not Want to add a bed. IT was 11:30 PM!!! GIRLS AT CHECK ARE NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED AT ALL, horrible staff, dirty hôtel AVOID THIS PLACE
Location was ok
Worst place I have ever stayed. They say every room is heated but there was no heater in my room. It was freezing and when I asked for a portable heater they didn't have one, the woman didn't even think to offer me an extra blanket until I asked for one. The bed was small and uncomfortable. It was on wheels and slid around the floor with the slightest movement. The curtains didn't cover the whole window and let light in. The walls and windows are so thin you can hear every noise on the street outside and floor above. The corridor smelt disgusting and the communal bathrooms were poorly maintained. No remote for the tv which had poor reception. Found the man who checked me in to be quite unwelcoming. Not reccommended.
It served the purpose of being close to the waterfront so we could arrive in time for an early boat trip. I originally booked the wrong night but was able to move the the booking to the correct date.
It was difficult to communicate with staff, there understanding of english appeared poor. The room had a bed, a small inbuilt cupboard for clothes, an old TV and a sink in it. Lino floor. It is more half way house/hostel rather than a hotel. Had I been aware of this I would not have made the booking.

No towels, or soap. Staff barely speaks english and took several minutes to give me 2 dollars in change. You get what you pay for.
No frills, the room was clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. I arrived late at night as I was bumped from my previous booking (another story altogether), so I really appreciated the smooth check in procedure. The counter lady took the extra step to help me check that the nearby convenience store was still open, which she didn't have to do, and I thought it was nice of her. She was also very understanding when I needed to make an amendment to my booking dates. She also allowed me to store my luggage in a back room after check out so I could explore a bit more of SF before my evening flight. The walk to Fisherman's Wharf was decent, and buses to Market Street came frequently.
The location and view from our room was great. Hotel is in a safe neighborhood with bike rental and cafe adjacent.
Shared bathrooms are never fun but thats what we signed up for.

Some of windows doesn't close, room cleaning could be better. Dirty rest rooms.
Smells, unhealthy looking, and room looked like it was never clean and sheets and pillows like notwashed, nithing I liked.
