I really loved the view of the ocean. The apartment is facing the beach so you can see the whole beach & ocean. It is very close to Santa Monica Pier which is an awesome little amusement park.
I hated how uncomfortable the bed was. Instead of a mattress they had some sort of cheap pad. When I arrived there were hairs all over the place & dirt every where. All the faucets leaked & all the drains were clogged.
Location was ok, across the street from Santa Monica beach but 2 km+ from Santa Monica tourist area
Access by the back of a restaurant with the smell of grease and garbage. Room was not clean, there is a hole in the ceiling of the kitchenette
Check in time was at 3pm, got there exactly at 3 and the room wasn't ready... We waited about 5 hours for it to get "cleaned" after a while of being in the room looking around we found bottles laying around and just other things that didn't convince me the room had been cleaned.
Loved the fact that it was across from the ocean and close to breakfast. Danielle was very helpful. It was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen. This worked out well for us.
There were 2 refrigerators - one froze things and one did not work. There were no ice cubes. We could not get the TV to work. There were no instructions. The upper parking lot meant nothing to us at 2 in the morning... It was a block up the road so more instructions would have been helpful. The PCH was of course very loud but the location across from the beach was so nice. It was also noisy from the people in the restaurant and the music playing. The power seems to go out of the kitchen when you run the microwave and the shower at the same time. Someone came and fixed it however and that was so nice. It takes a really LONG time for the shower to get hot and then to control the temp. It's either too hot or too cold.
Great location for the beach. Comfortable bed. Great food at Patrick's Roadhouse beneath the apartment. Nice décor. Secure door system. Staff very helpful and quick to respond to emails/calls.
No air con! Music 60's jazz played downstairs in the Roadhouse from 8am to 8pm... Also rather a lot of noise from the road and petrol station next door (especially when hot with windows open). Crossing the main road at night is rather difficult (wouldn't want to use the underground path alone at night).
It has an incredible view! Super nice and confortable
No staff in entrada playa suit.we have reservation but we slept outside.it was terrible responsibility.
Great location. Was a good space for me. Owner had good communication.
Parking wasn't great. Water in shower took forever to get hot, and then it was impossible to find a balance with the cold to get a normal shower temp. Felt a bit expensive for the value, but I was comfortable overall.
It was a mistake to book this hotel. The location is bad. You are far away from everything. We did not like it. Rather spend some more money for a hotel in Santa monica or somwhere close to LA city center. There is a restaurant under the rooms..,The owner is very kind, that's the only good thing.
From 2 am to 5 am it was quite and I could actually hear the ocean. Plenty of pillows and nice view of Malibu if you sit close enough to the window and sit at an angle. Cozier if it were cleaner and better maintained.
Do not book this place or you will regret it!! Where to start! I would not recommend this to anyone who hates other peoples hair in your bed, stairs to climb in the dark, no outside light, no working tv or alarm clock. Greasy fan and floors, someone elses underwear left in the bathroom drawer. Should I go on? Danielle Childs at goodlifevacay should not be in the business of hospitality because she did not look after me and took all of my money before I even arrived then did not proceed to send a cleaner or tv repair person out to the apt. She would not reimburse me either when I was dissatisfied with the condition of the apt. I have never been so disappointed, not to mention the garbage under the window, homeless yelling in the parking lot at 7 am, the open gas station right outside the window she does not show in pictures, the air pump under the window for cars. Very noisy. No proper curtains for privacy, the lights from the gas station kept me awake all night and the noise of the street was terrible. And everything the guy before me wrote is all true too. Plus the music from the restaurant below was good but all I got. The wine opener and can opener were no where to be found and there was no kettle for tea or instant coffee. I had to boil water in a pot. The toilet flusher was broken as well as the bathroom and kitchen faucets. The dishes were greasy, I had to rewash everything. Too many things to go ON>
Location, Patrick's Diner food was awesomw!!!!
The place was so dirty my wife had to clean it before she would even unpack.Greasy frying pan, one fridge of two was stinky. The vent above the two burner stove was full of spider webs.Bed had a futon mattress only, no box springs!!. Hardly any water pressure to shave or shower with and the bathroom faucet was not securely mountd to the sink. Moldy shower liner and bottom tiles. No a c but had a floor and ceiling fan. The programable combination door lock only latched 3/8" into the jam. Combination was general knowledge among other resident'S. The kid in # 7 said he might move in there after we left. The 3rd bed was a couch!!! Cracked window on the upper kitchen side window which were dirty!.Varied tones and sheen of white paint for touch up most windows painted shut.Very poor value and comfort for the price paid! The photos make the place look much more accomodating than it actually is.It was tidy in decor. One roll of cheap tp provided for 3 people for 7 days! The representative was out of Arizona and was going to call with directions on how to reprogram the lock and to have some one provide us with keys for the screen door---never happened!!!! For $220/day + tax I really felt economically violated. It has potential for a real comfortable place but in it's current state it is barely suitable for a beach bum who only needs it for a cheap bachelor pad for the weekend. It definately was not suitable for a family of 3 with a 14 year old daughter. I see why there were no refund on the property. They probably had tenants with the same issues before. Overall rating is "very unsatisfactory" from us and will consider different options next time and will not recommend the suite (if you can call it that!) to anyone for any length of stay. It is what it is and it is just as I described.
Staff at patrick's roadhouse were great, anthony gave us good suggestions about what to do in the area
The way it was described online made it seem far bigger, almost as if it was a 3 bedroom apartment not an apartment thats basically 1 room with a bed thats max 3 people
