Robin was very welcoming and helpful - gave us lots of recommendations of what to do. Room was roomy and comfortable. Nice to have a fridge and microwave. A lot of free snacks and water and coffee were available.
The actual bathroom was a little small and the shower was a bit unenthusiastic. The lighting in the room was rather dim - romantic but not so good for reading!
Nice and Happy Staff - Robin Decor in the room
I really like the fact that they had bananas for breakfast most continental breakfast at hotels do not offer bananas. As well as many options for the continental breakfast. The managers, especially Robin were very courteous and helpful. Also the benches in front of each unit is a nice touch for the guests to enjoy.
Great counter space at vanity; large hanging space for clothes; free wifi
Stair access only to 2nd floor.
We were very happy when we arrived at Hotel Estes and saw our room. It was simple and nice with a really good price tag.
We figured out things were not as nice as we thought when we went to bed. We had a room with a connecting door, which allowed every sound from the next room to seep into ours. Our restless neighbors woke us up past midnight and we were unable to get to sleep until past three am. I had to call the 'emergency' number and have the employee call our neighbors and tell them to quite down. It was really unacceptable that we were unable to sleep and that our neighbors had to quite down just because we could hear them. They were not even being loud (we could hear a shopping bag being opened up). With soundproofing added, our stay would have been perfectly pleasant.
Robin, the Manager ensured our stay was enjoyable. She gave us directions, restaurant tips, even ideas for which trails to hike in the National Park. Thank you Robin for the tip to watch the sunrise on the mountains, a majestic morning. Enrique was so pleasant and ensured breakfast was enjoyable and that we got the room with the best view.
Staff was great! They treated us like family and had bottled water, snacks, teas/hot chocolate available. Also walked us through nearby points of interest. Location was perfect for a trip into the Rocky Mountains.
That we were able to check in late without any hassle (just picked up the key in an envelope) Liked that it was pet friendly (we adopted a dog on vacation)
That when there was a mix up about the pet - my daughter was made to feel bad (scolded about how would she feel if someone's child died as a result of a severe reaction.) Kind of extreme. We adopted a pet and searched for pet friendly. This came up and we booked. What we did not know (until the next morning) is that only certain rooms are for pets - which is fine with me and I am one to follow the rules. We kept the dog in a crate at all times and I told them this and apologized for the miscommunication. The others were really nice about it.
Room was exceptional for the money.Cosy and warm, clean and very spacious, with a wonderful view, Hotel Estes exceeded our expectations. Our host Robin helped us to feel like family! Hugs all round after a hard day walking the trails..Robin obviously loves her work and that shows. She radiated joy...thanks Robin for your hospitality and enthusiasm.
Paper plates, plastic cutlery and even worse, polystyrene cups for breakfast (sounds like we ate them, not true!). Starting the day with this just didn't go down well for me... I have never seen this in a hotel before. To their credit, the staff found us a China mug to share, and they did say china crockery was planned. Seems the trend in the USA is for ultrasweet breakfast..Some plain yogurt would have been great, and regular teabags too for us Australians.
Very close to the main part of town. Comfortable beds. Nice hostess. Clean room.
Comfortable beds, fantastic mountain views.
Large windows gave us a great view of the town and mountains in the background. Breakfast was simple, but good. Free water and granola bars at the desk was also helpful for a nice snack on the way out for the day. Some people mentioned that there aren't any places to sit for breakfast, but the entire north wall is a bar with stools for sitting, so we didn't think that was an issue.
Minor issue where we didn't have a duvet cover on our bed when we arrived. We didn't notice it immediately when we arrived later in the evening, but I'm sure it would have been fixed quickly -- only stayed one night. Wish the hot tub and pool had been open or we had known it was only seasonal, but that's not unexpected, either. The breakfast area is a little small, so I imagine on a busier morning, it might be a bit cramped -- certainly not an issue when we were there in early October.
The Manager there was awesome. Her mission was to make sure your stay in Estes Park is beyond your expectations - giving you tips on all the good spots and always willing to accommodate her guests. We will return to Hotel Estes.
Couldn't stay longer.
very accommodating staff
Great location near RMNP. The desk clerk was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner and live music. Continental breakfast was a nice start to the day. Room was very clean.
Robin was awesome.
the room was good but I could hear everything the neighbors did (blow dryer, shower, etc), the sink and tub didn't drain well but most irritating was that the towels were like sandpaper and the water pressure for the shower was almost non - existent.
It was clean and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Location was good, just outside of town.
Quaint room, clean, friendly staff, close to venues
Customer service is the most important criteria for us whenever we stay in a hotel or motel. Hotel Estes provides customer service second to none. The Front Desk employees are courteous, competent, and professional. Inquiries and request are answered promptly. We will definitely be repeat guests.
Room was comfy. Breakfast was good. Wi-fi works well Staff was friendly
The room was a bit too warm, but thermo was not working or broken
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The view of the mountains was nice from the second floor rooms.
We didn't like the prepackaged breakfast. Our floor was squeaky so we tried to walk softly to not disturb the people staying below us.
Very good breakfast
Love the location! Its near Rocky Mtn. National Park and there is a cute town within a few minutes drive for eating and shopping. Plus it had a great view! The beds were AMAZINGLY comfortable, and they even included makeup remover wipes along with the normal shampoo stuff which was nice! We only stayed here one night before going to Denver, but I wish we would have spent more time here! Next year!
Our room was really hot. We kept trying to turn down the heat, but I don't know if we were doing it wrong or what, but the heat didn't go down. The only other thing that was partially negative (there were some positives to it too) was that the sink for the bathroom it outside of the bathroom. It was nice because I could get ready while someone was in the shower, but at the same time, when people got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom it woke me up. Not too big of a deal though!
