Smells and general condition of the rooms
The staff was great and worked with us and us with them to get over issues apparently caused by booking.com. Creative solutions and concessions allowed us to arrive at a solution we all thought was fair and contributed to our adventure that week.
The issues from booking.com that caused the problem in the first place.
Staff were warm and welcoming. A microwave and refrigerator in the room were nice amenities. Morning coffee was provided in the office.
The carpet in my room was stained. The television was not plugged in. The lamp closest to the bed was not working. The door to my room was hard to open
Staff let us check in early
Room was very small, no bathtub and we had to call for Draino as soon as we used the sink. Also the room had no exhaust fan or ventilation, which I think also played into why the room felt damp and smelled. We had a rear facing room and the I5 noise was still horrible.
I boked this for my family for the night of the Oregon-Washington football game. We arrived to a very clean room with a fridge and comfortable beds. What impressed us on a busy weekend was the friendly staff, both housekeeping and front desk. A special thanks to Amanda at the front desk who was incredibly cheery and helpful.
Excellent front office staff! Courteous and kind on the phone and in person- just top notch!
Housekeeping starts banging on doors at 10am and doesn't stop til you're out. 12 noon checkout doesn't mean you can sleep in, then. No DO NOT DISTURB signs, so you have to keep answering the door to talk to them... The hotel is clean, it's just older and stained. Bed felt like it was 2 mattresses pushed together. About 40 min to walk home after a concert at Knight Arena, but thankful for that since the whole town was booked and no cabs available! It was a safe place to lay my head.
Friendly staff . Good room
Clean bathroom Very nice staff
Room smelled like smoke bed was uncomfortable sheets did not fit the bed AC did not work Other guest were very loud
No clock in room. No chair in double room.
Comfortable, accessible, available!
A/C unit sounded like it was on its last leg....room was stuffy and it droned on all night long. Otherwise, mostly clean, basic, and the only motel available for the ducks game weekend!
Good value for the money. There wew no kitchen facilities.
Not having ESPN When said it was available.
I was looking for a motel 6 much closer to Portland but they were all full. This one supposedly only had one room left. It turned out there were many more rooms. Websight needs to be up to date As far as availability
The carpet was filthy. The sink was stopped up. The manager came to plunge it, but the sink was not cleaned afterwards. All night my whole body itched. I hope I was only allergic to the laundry detergent. The bedding did not smell clean and fresh. Between itching and the smell of the sheets, I did not get a good nights sleep. We stayed at 3 other motel 6's while on this vacation. This one was the worst.
good to have Denny's restaurant next to the hotel because most of the shops are closed after 9pm.
Starting cleaning room before we were done with it, had to stop the cleaning so we could finish up
I am not physically impaired, but I am a paramedic & have assisted challenged people. So not an expert, but well aware of most needs. The room was an access room for wheelchair. The room was nice large enough to age a chair on all sides of the bed. Though there is no extra room. The bathroom was large enough to move around without limitation. was set up very nice. With a shower on a hose. There wasn't a water thermometer. There was a bench attached that would fold up. Plenty of grab rails. Bed was acceptablely comfortable.
This was a non smoking room. However someone had smoked in it and it was heavy! I went to the front desk and was offered a new room. I said I would like to try a deoderizer first as I liked the room. She said the cleaning staff had the supplies. That she would let them know and they would be bye as soon as they could. I opened the window. About twenty minutes later she came bye with an industrial strength deoderizer. She suggested I spray it where I wanted to. I sprayed the bed cover, all the carpet, in the bathroom, and on the walls. She said just to call the desk if she could be of any more help. It was about 30 minutes later, the deoderizer did it's job. Though I could still smell the smoke it was in the background, & not oppressive.
The room we booked wasn't available when we arrived, our room smelled like animal urine and mold. Cigarette and pot smoke was billowing up from the other rooms all night. Our door didn't have a working key. Literally next to the noisey highway. Outside smelled like rotting trash. Nothing about this place was renovated.
Amanda Waugh went above and beyond to try to help. I really appreciated that. The housekeeping staff were friendly.
The first room we were checked into had a pet in it previously. I'm extremely allergic and it was just the start of a bad stay. The pool ended up being down for maintenance. There were bugs in the room. There was only a shower that flooded the floor when you used it. I paid for a room that had the fridge and microwave but because of the pet issue, I had to have a room that didn't have those. For all my problems, I still ended up paying for the full price of my room.
Was given a smoking room when I had reserved a non smoking one. When I told them, their response was "that's all we have". Was not willing to exchange room. The room smelled like an overripe bar! No amount of febreze eliminated the smell. My friends allergies were aggravated by the smell. The a/c did not cool. And the bathroom door did not close properly. Very dissatisfied!
Failed to tell us pool was broke
Location, friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the room.
They do not offer shampoo like other hotels. Assuming there would be shampoo, I didn't pack any for the trip. It wasn't a huge hassle, it would just be way more convenient if it was something they offered for travelers such as myself who assume there will be some available. Neither of the gas stations nearby have any, and they do not sell any in the office.
Location was very good
No hair dryer. Understand if being updated soon. Maybe you could add hair dryers.
Road noise. Coffee only in lobby
Office staff very nice.
Called at noon to see what time we could check-in, was told 3pm. Showed up at 4pm & had to wait for an hour for room. TV reception was very poor, of the few channels only 3 were clear. Wi-Fi for $2.99 per day - bad!!!
This has robe the worst hotel experience we have ever had
The price was fair
