Score from 213 reviews Very good
Loved the historical value of the hotel and the ghost tour.
The room was tiny and the bathroom door was so close to the bed that it touched. The room smelled awful as well. Not sure what it was.
Upstairs dining was limited, but good and the Harvest Moon was divine.
The uneven floors, but normal for older buildings and not a problem
Views from all porches. Breakfast great, coffee weak and low quality. Elevator smells horrible place needs complete rehab.
Liked the atmosphere, the view, the restaurant, the bar, the bed. Excellent steaks at the steakhouse. nice furniture and nicer soft bed. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Right across from 419 so the ghost tour was right outside our door until 10 or so at night. The floor in the room was slanted and the blinds on the windows hadn't been dusted in a while.
The breakfast was very good! Bed was comfortable.
When we arrived in our room the bed had not been finished being made up. The shower water pressure was poor.
Great place for people that like that old feel and spooky Factor. Great food ! If you are looking for that modern and clean 5 start place it's not for you. If you know that you are going to a place with a lot of history and it shows it then you are at the right place
Room 419 definitely has the best history/story behind it in my opinion considering it is one of the most haunted rooms. Although me and my fiance did not experience any activity, the room was beautiful (and a little creepy still nonetheless.) Definitely recommend the ghost tour. Our tour guide was great. I would definitely pay the money to stay here again.
Amazing old hotel. Loved the character of the building and the grounds. Free shuttle into town, and free breakfast (not just cereal and bread). Even the Sunday champagne brunch was included with the room. We were in room 201 and I would highly recommend. Corner suite with a balcony and a very comfy king bed.
No room service!!!!
Staff friendly and helpful Loved the history of the hotel
A/C did not work and the room was hot
All the history Staff was helpful Bed was very comfortable Able to walk the hotel freely Able to take pictures of anything you wished. They actually encouraged you to look at the antiques and look around. Very comfortable doing so. Beautiful art work on every floor. Did the ghost tour & loved the fact that she quit talking when a child was acting up and didn't start up again til child was removed. Loved it!! Gave us a chance to hear what we paid to hear. Beautiful place want to visit again. Oh...also had a marvelous breakfast!!
The Gift area was hard to get behind the desk and look. Our bathroom looked a little dirty on/around the baseboards in bathroom.
Restaurant in Hotel is fabulous......
Bed mattress leaned to one side.....
I loved this hotel -- wonderful location, relaxed feeling, friendly staff, extremely clean and comfortable, although it seems like you are stepping back in time -- the rooms are old-fashioned but nice, the bathrooms are updated.
Too many children allowed to romp all over the place. And I was told while I was there that Booking.com charges more than the hotel itself. I could have saved a lot by booking through the hotel itself. Live and Learn.
more eating establishments. the two places closed early (10:00PM). this is early.
location into town shuttle bus
expensive for small room bathroom needed updating, no water pressure, hot and cold water not regulated staff not friendly graduity added to room rate window air conditioning musky smell in room
Keeping a historical site alive and thriving is difficult in this economy. I appreciate the effort the owners have made to preserve the history. The breakfast was wonderful.
Victorian furnishings and rustic details. View. Friendliness of the staff. Location. Grounds.
Some of the little things need some work. Door to room hard to open and close securely.
Beautiful hotel. Fun atmosphere with haunted ghost stories and campfires. Loved walking the grounds late at night.
Breakfast was the worst. Also, upon leaving, there was a power surge right when we were in the elevator and it shot us straight to the Penthouseand we were stuck there with no way out since only two locked doors outside of elevator doors (which we had manually opened since stuck there forever). The actual owner of the hotel rescued us and instead of apologizing she just stood there asking how the elevator doors were opened and what we were doing up in the penthouse. Seriously?!? Thumbs down for hospitality on the owners part for sure.
The building itself is spectacular from grounds. the history is very intriguing.
Impossible to enjoy atmosphere of hotel. Extremely loud music. Lobby was loud and hectic, crowded. Rather difficult to get into the mood of the history of the place with LaBamba blaring. Even ghost tour was haunted with music! I came for the ambiance and history. Very disappointed.i am a music lover, but too loud and Too long. I bet that most of patrons were wishing they had reserved a different night.
The ghost tour was pricey, but Katherine made up for it. She was an outstanding guide and historian. Our room was awesome. The views were fantastic. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing. Time seemed to slow down for once. The 4th floor restaurant was outstanding. We loved the pizza and the almost famous calizone.(no clue on the spelling) The morning breakfast was awesome. Dolly made us feel like regulars. The sous chefs were very good at their jobs and extremely friendly. Front desk staff helped us with all of our questions and needs.
Everything was outstanding, but there was a lot of areas that were not maintained. The pool was dirty with debris. The hot tub was filthy and needed some minor maintenance. There were cigarette butts and trash located through out the landscaped areas. My family and i actually picked up trash in different areas.
The building is magnificent in an excellent location and the staff extremely helpful. Ghost were friendly ;). The split bathroom with tub and commode in a room, sink across the hall was unique! Obscure glass bath doors was a first!
We were unaware of the pizza shop on the 4th floor! But not a deal killer - so to squeak! Couldn't figure out how our individual keys became joined at checkout time?
hotel has so much character with incredible view, loved the Catholic church down the hill and close proximity to everything (Ermilio's, historic district, shops, etc), Sunday brunch was delicious, great coffee
would have liked a refrigerator in the room and somewhere to hang things (robe, towel, etc) in bathroom, room door was difficult to open from inside
Unique experience to stay in an old building like this. The ghost your was fun too.
The appearance of the rooms are great - but we has a hard time sleeping because the window unit was weak and didn't go below 75 high ceilings and no ceiling fan are a lousy mix. Then the shower was hot - cold - hot - cold every 5 or 6 seconds. Breakfast was good and the. Hotel is cool - but not worth the 199 I paid for the room. The spa is overpriced too and didn't have a menu you could take. Go into town for a spa.
A/C!!!! Shower SPA
Beautiful grounds, historic ambience. A great place to stay when visiting scenic, eclectic Eureka Springs.
