Shared bathroom and the smell of the hotel it stunk very badly

It was very cheap, and in a good location. It simply cannot be beaten on price. It doesn't feel at all dodgy or unsafe. It was reasonably quiet.

It was the most primitive accommodation I have ever stayed in; it is like something straight out of the fifties.

I did not like the smell of the hotel, carpet is very dirty. Also it was very difficult to find the hotel. This Hotel is not recommend to a family with young children. "awful"

Europa is in the heart of north beach and it was great having a window overlooking the life of north beach. If you don't mind noise.

For the price one must accept and embrace the Europa.

Near North Beach and tourist attractions

Scary accommodations. Bare light bulb on ceiling. No towels. Wires hanging on wall. Hum on TV. Garbage outside window. No Heat

Absolutely nothing

No restroom in the room, its down the hall and you can tell the room has a lot of problems to it because the ceilings and walls were painted over very poorly. On the night we arrived, we saw a cockroach too...........overall it was horrible. The staff was nice, dont get me wrong but I would never go back even if you paid me. While I was taking a shower in their public bathroom, my bf was standing outside and literally in the 5-10 min he was out there, a "paid services" woman hit on him while she and another man were going to their room. Then a guy asks him to go into his room and lets just say, he didn't like what was going on.....so no dont ever go here. Pay the extra money for the better hotels, trust me!!!

Nothing it was dirty and smelt weird and there seemed to be a lot of creepy long term guests. It stank like smoke

The location is great, well heated (it get very cold in SF at night).

Nothing unfortunately! Total waste of money :-( Railway station or public park may be better/cleaner than this. The hotel could be excluded from Booking.com

Everything: Bathroom small, stings. Room dirty, bed-linen dirty. TV does not work, Lots of noise even after closing window.

Proximity to restaurants/shows

The room was not clean. Bedspread smelled of cigarette smoke. Restroom and showers were not acceptable as to cleanliness.

The staff are excellent, they always treat me with dignity and respect and the Europa is now my official choice of stay whenever i'm in San Francisco. No outrageous deposits and even booked my airport shuttle without any hassle. My number one recommendation for any budget traveler who wants to stay somewhere in the city that is safe, clean and comfortable. Thanks to the Europa staff you guys are the greatest, and I will see you the next time I am in town.
