There's not much that we liked about our place. We had booked a twin and the room was really small. Ok, this is a hostel but I would not reccommend this to anybody else.
It's in the heart of SoMa and everybody warned us about that place, especially at night. I'm not afraid but I found the neighbourhood was kind of creepy.
It's comfy, the front desk people were friendly and were able to answer an y questions I had. Very simple check in and out process.
It was very hot entering the room. The window was not working and although I got a private room, it didn't fully feel like we had privacy because of the restroom being right next to us.
The bed was comfortable.
Needles on the street out the front of the Hostle
cheap and good location
staff was rude, and bathrooms were sketch. the room's window was not up to par, and the curtain was stapled to the wall. also other questionable markings and patches on the wall.
Facilities (kitchen may be helpful if you need it)
Our room (first floor double private room) was really smelly. Locationis sorrounded by homeless but be prepared cause this is part of the landscape in San Francisco
EveryThing was fine except the location and the cleaness.
It was handy for where I wanted to be stay and the price was great, a nice place to meet similar people traveling.Andy who was on reception was excellent about giving recommendations of anything that I wanted to know and the highlight of the stay, great service
That it was cheap
That ther was bed bugs And prison bunk beds
people from different countries come together and mix up, talk, share...it was really amazing. Highly recommended if you are solo or traveling one 1-2 friends.
absolutely no complaints
You get what you pay for. Threadbare blankets, smelly rooms (but I blame my roommate), not a very hostelly vibe.
Availability of towels and hair drier, Kitchen, sauce pan, mugs, hot water to make coffee/tea, the bathroom had really good hot water
location a bit far, bathroom was not always clean and had no floor mat
Everything was really bad First of all I used to stay in Hostelling international but I changed to come to this hostel because they said that they have parking area which they didn't so I had to park my car on the street and next morning I got my driver window broken The rooms were too small and were mixed the bed were not comfortable and really old There were mice in the rooms I didn't know till last night because I was awake waiting my flight and they were messing around the room There were no breakfast And the setting area was just by the rooms so late in the evening I couldn't sleep because there were many people talking and cooking Even if this is the only available room in the city I wouldn't stay a min there
Location close and easy for buses and BART. Kitchen facilities were good and common room with TV.
Located in a rough neighbourhood not good at night and a lot of homeless. Decor was very dated and bathrooms weren't great. A lot of money for overall condition of hostel.
Rooms were filthy, my room had bed bugs. Cleaning staff didnt speak english and kept waking me up in the morning to clean when I clearly wasn't ready yet, they also kept leaving my room unlocked! Tiny kitchen and common room, for the amount of rooms and beds they have it is over crowded. I ended up going out to eat rather than using the hostel as an actual hostel and cooking my own food. I was on my own on this trip and didn't feel welcome at all. There was also a shooting nearby the following week- great location. Not.
Its neat and comfort for me.
The area is not safe.
Everything. I left after one night to go and stay somewhere else after I noticed someone had been smoking weed in my dorm room and had tried to get in my bag. Didn't feel safe here at all.. the dorm rooms and cramped and the beds are rickety and uncomfortable. The whole place smelt and there were not enough bathrooms for the number of people. Disgusting.
Good location and reasonable price...
The sheets weren't changed from previous guest. I know this because I don't have red curly hair. The toilet was also overflowing. As for the kitchen they lacked the simple things like a can opener and a cloth to wipe down the filth.
All the friends I made in two nights and had to leave.
I liked that it was near the city and the WiFi was great
I didn't like unfair pricing, the hotel deducts money from my account and then gives away my room. If you have booked a room for 2 days and don't check in for some reason on the first day, that does not give you the right to give away my room.
The stay fee was very cheap, but there are more hostels that we can stay as same as price and more comfortable than European hostel
There was no plug on each bed, only 1 bath and shower room on each stories. That is why every nights and morning are crowded.
The rooms are quite beautiful and also bathrooms Enough quality of the faculty for the price
The neighbor is really dangerous. So many homeless, druggy guys and badass
Cheap, easy to find.
Co-habitation rooms, not very many showers for the amount of people staying there. Small common area. Not very clean even for a hostel. It was a little ways off the main drag (by a street) and I felt a little uncomfortable getting there with the types that hung around outside.
Everything. It was just disgusting. Did not dare to take a shower or to use the blanket in the bed. In the Internet, it is said you can check in until 12 o´clock- we came 9:55 pm and was already closing.
One of the worst hostels I've been to. Although the shared rooms are very cheap comparing to the other hotels nearby, they are too small and the smell was terrible (I was in one with no window). Even the bed was not comfortable. Then, I won't recommend this hostel to my friends.
