Location is terrific.
Paid Wifi is unacceptable.
Location cleanliness value
Wifi inconvenient Should be free
location was good, hotel in general was good
cost is always a problem in new york. It is never worth the money.
It's such a nice neighborhood. And I like being able to walk to the Met Museum..
Used to live on the upper west side of Manhattan and it was wonderful to have solid, affordable hotel accommodations there.
Paid Wifi seems kind of cheap.
Staff was friendly. Received an upgrade.
Needed to rent a refrigerator in the room for my baby's bottles. No kettle or other way to heat water.
Noisy heating system.
great location and decent room size
the room overheated easily and the windows wouldn't fully close (though it wasn't a problem with the room being hot)
Location and comfort.
I asked for a two-queen-bed room and had a room with one bed and a sofa.
No free wifi Breakfast not included
Room was ok
We aren't much for the super touristy stuff since we lived in NY for several years. We loved this location in a great neighborhood with the hip, casual restaurants that embody the New Yorker lifestyle and the park a block away. Perfect. Plus the hotel is a perfect blend of old fashioned charm and a fresh new remodel. We enjoyed it very much.
Having to leave sucked. ;)
I was impressed with the amount of space we had and overall experience. I was a little concerned at the fact we did not get fresh glassware replaced and looked like it had been attempted to be washed in our sink due to some residue left on the cup as we had made instant lattes that had dirtied the cups. Besides that everything else went great and I felt that it was good value for the money.
We did not bother to use their wifi and therefore our phone reception date of service was not the best. However I will never pay for wifi as it is. I guess that was the only downside.
Location, plenty of places to eat in the vicinity and the size of the room.
Room needs updating and temperature was hard to control without opening windows.
Staff was helpful. Close to subway and on bus route to East Side.
We've stayed here before and are usually happy with the accommodations. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant.
Would have preferred a queen bed and a double bed as opposed to two doubles.
Right across the street from Museum of Natural History! Perfect location! Great hotel despite some construction.
A little dated, but otherwise lovely.
Love he upper west side.
No room service
The location to shopping, restaurants and the subway.
I find that some of the lighting in the rooms do not work.
We had business at the Natural History Museum, so the location was just perfect; indeed a location that was perfect generally. Our room was a delight, the bathroom perfect. And the Airlink shuttle to the airport was a bonus.
The lack of in-house refreshment facilities during the day - viz. afternoon tea, morning coffee, a beer or a glass of wine. This is a distinct drawback.
No coffee making facilities Not very good value for money No wifi in room
Spacious , clean comfortable room. great bed.friendly helpful staff, would definately go again.
Wifi was sporadic and tea/coffee making facilities in room would have been appreciated
The hotel is charming, well located and a great value. The fact that Starbucks, subway, and Central Park are within a block is amazing!
The location for this property is great! This neighborhood is quiet yet has easy access to taxis, restaurants, the natural history museum and central park.
The staff, with exception of housekeeping are not overly friendly but I knew this when I booked as I have lodged here before. The heater in my room, 814 made a strange noise as though something was clinking around inside.
