hotel was quiet from street noise -
water was not not one morning shower
Well placed, 50 meters from central park
(Bed a bit small for two (Queen size
We got into Manhattan early in the morning. We were going to drop off our bags so we didn't have to haul them around. Linn had a room ready & let us check in early. Top floor, corner; just what I asked for. Quiet, view, lovely, well appointed room. Thanks!
All cheap chain hotels have a fridge, microwave and free wi-fi in every room. The room has a dresser designed to contain a fridge, but no fridge. Breakfast is usually included, free coffee, always. For the price these should all be included. Pay for wi-fi? Really? If the cheap guys can do these things, why can't a 4 star?
location facilities in room helpful staff
continental breakfast not available coffee machine in lobby not working
Room was very quiet at night.
The breakfast buffet food could be of higher quality for the cost.
Very close near central park. In colombus ave and Amsterdam ave à lot of nice restaurants.
Bad WiFi in de lobby. Very expensive in The room. Nog outside facilities. Staf not so friendly and helpfull.
No wifi in rooms and no coffee facilities in rooms
It's a beautiful classic hotel close to the subway which makes getting around easy. And there are plenty of great restaurants, the park, the museum, etc. just steps away.
There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The beds seemed smaller than doubles (but larger than twins) which would have been difficult for more than two people to occupy the room.
Everything about this hotel was perfect. Starting in the lobby this hotel is very impressive. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff is friendly and courteous. Good value for money.
I loved the comfort, location and price. It's just the right size and for NYC the rooms are spacious.
The only problem with this hotel is the front desk. They answer questions with a snarl that borders on surly, even simple questions such as, "Do you have rooms available tomorrow?" is answer with, "I can't help you with that...that's the job of reservations." That's a great way to greet a customer who's just checked in. Aloof, non-responsive, and close to nasty, they all need a lesson in customer service and good manners.
it is a good hotel. the price is fair
Tea/coffee in room Wifi free throughout hotel
The room is clean and well decorated, and the quality of sleep is excellent., The location is not in downtown but is good, near to Central Park, restaurants, subway, etc. There's a ATM machine inside hotel.
There's no laundry inside hotel; There's no frigobar at room; All things are expensive, like wi-fi at room. The hotel has a person exclusive for selling tours, but the prices are usually the double of if you buy for yourself; The breakfast is payed and expensive; Most of staff at reception were excelent and helpfull, but there is one receptionist always with bad humor and no helpfull.
No fridge in room. No coffee machine in room. No free Wifi in room.
Great location, nice rooms, especially when high enough for the view.
Everybody we met a the reception desk was very short and not friendly. We can not recommend the breakfast !
The location was ideal, and it was just cozy
We booked a last minute deal for a basic room with a queen bed. At check-in we asked if any upgrades were available and were given a suite with a king bed at no extra charge. It was a large room with a sitting area. Spacious and clean bathroom. Hotel is near Central Park and the Museum of Natural History.
Receptionist, while he did give us a free upgrade, was cold. The room had a balcony that was closed and covered with scaffolding (city view looking north).
Very comfortable room, convenient location, good value for the money, great restaurant, attentive staff
Location, decor, gym
Price of internet, lifts seemed always waiting on a lift.
The location is incredible. The rooms are decently sized (even large for NYC).
Front staff is actually pretty rude. Things are just dirty: part of it is that the property is old, but when you find a dried-out grape stem on your floor when you arrive, it's not just that. Oh yeah...you know that free shoe shine you get with your suite? They don't actually shine your shoes. It's almost laughable
Very helpful staff. Nearness to Central Park and Museum. Room décor.
Room was small. Expected more for $250+ per night. Parking at Museum was expensive.
Location was ideal for taking advantage of joys of Central Park. Service provided by the door men and baggage men.
-Concierge service atrocious...Betsey extremely rude and unprofessional! -Double beds NOT double at all - not suitable for couple wishing to enjoy a comfortable long weekend in NYC.When requesting a King room only rooms available would have been exposed to noise of early morning building works. -At time of booking we were not informed of on going building works. Thus choice of room confined us to a room with no view or sense of daylight/weather conditions for the day. Only possible to know weather conditions once stepping outside the hotel. Dark...dark...dark... No free WIFI in rooms. Only in the lobby. Room decor tired.
There is wifi in the room with additional charge.
Very clean and comfortable.
The hotel room we had was very small very deceiving look a lot bigger on the website.very pricey
