Score from 280 reviews Wonderful
The comfort of the rooms, the staff was very friendly and accommodating! I stay here all the time and would definitely come back again!!
Staff Location Price
Rural places in China have better breakfast A bit noisy at times
Had a late dinner. Very good! Easy location for SF and Berkeley. Front door staff helpful on arrival.
Booking through Bookings.Com. Made promises hotel knew nothing about.
Free shuttle to Bart station - which gets you to downtown San Francisco in 10 min.
Hotel still undergoing renovation - first room they gave us didn't have a desk which doesn't really work for business travelers. Fortunately, they had a "more complete" room available.
Excellent helpful friendly staff!! We had a few issues and they were all over it. Wouldn't even accept a tip but I insisted. Little bar in the lounge was fun to talk to other guests. Closed at about 10:30. We were in the canal side and it was very quiet.
Location was a little remot, ie not downtown but still convenient,
Affordable and staff very friendly.
My room was just next to the laundry in the third floor. I could hear and feel the vibrations on and off from the laundry/drier. Spoilt my sleep during the night.
My room had been recently remodeled. It was large and clean. The staff provides excellent service. The shuttle service was excellent. The dining facilities are not five star but I had an excellent 10 oz. filet that was only $10 Outstanding value. I stayed here last year. I will go back again.
The fan in the bathroom is on when the light is on. I would recommend that it be on a separate switch.
Good location, big rooms with very comfortable bed. Price value for money!
Breakfast is little bit poor, but for a couple days it is ok.
The free shuttle to the Oakland ferry. Afternoon shuttle operator (Nolan). Breakfast buffet (except for rubbery eggs). Free Internet. Free parking.
Location next to the highway and near railroad tracks and heavy industries. Poor quality linens and scarcity of washcloths/towels. Poor quality shampoo, soap, etc. in bathroom. Sink outside bathroom. Adding on a $34 "tax" to already astronomical price without warning until check-out. Restaurant food. Morning shuttle operator unfriendly.
Friendly Staff, clean accomodations, free parking, wifi and breakfast!!
Hotel very clean, comfortable, and stylish, nice river views, good breakfast
Route to get to hotel a bit confusing, and hotel rather expensive
Pillows was not good
This hotel was tranquil for Oakland. Forgot I was in Oakland. I will always stay here when going to a game at the Oakland raiders or Oakland As games.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Loved that they had a complimentary van to take us to and from the Oakland ferry at Jack London Square. Will take to the BART station or restaurants in town, as well. Loved that parking was free at the hotel.
The immediate vicinity is not that nice. Run down part of town right by the freeway but very close to nice areas and the hotel itself is very nice which makes up for this.
Loved the customer service, location to everything. The hotel was older but in excellent condition. Loved the bed in the room. Sleep like a King!
The mattress was incredible. We want to buy one for our home! View over the canal and Alameda is beautiful and peaceful. We paid the extra for a water view - well worth it.
Somewhat tricky getting off and on the freeway.
The bedding was simple, comfortable and immaculate. The view over the park and Coast Guard Island was terrific. The complimentary breakfast was terrific and plentiful. The gym was ok with good equipment but should be in a larger area near the pool. Walking colocation within yards of a very good couple of restaurants and even Alameda's ammenities was terrific.
The rugs were fairly new, but filthy, probably from the ongoing renovations...acceptable, but needs attention. Walking across the rug barefoot, then jumping in the shower rendered muddy feet.
I had a view room and it was located above the pool on the third floor. It was a perfect view and the balcony was great. I was across from Coast Guard Island so heard revelry every morning and every night.
Everything was great, however, I would book mid-week next time to avoid children, a crowded pool, and the holiday.
Staff and room cleanliness. The hotel is very close to the stops of SF ferries and offers for free shuttle service between hotel/ferry.
Neighborhood, closeness to a major highway, cleanliness of comon areas.
Bar tender was excellent He knows customer service
Pool was not that clean. Jacuzzi Was not hot Sunday morning. My bill was screwed up and I had to call back after I got home. The response was arrogant
Breakfast was good
They were working on the rooms (refurbishment)
Location of ,clean, comfortable beds. Pleasant agents, nice view
They were remodeling but notify me that early morning noise would disturb me.
Comfortable bedroom. Nice waterside view.
Upstairs customer stomping around like a lumberjack until 1 am in the morning. Our fault for not complaining to desk. Should have had microwave oven to heat dry pastry.
The facility was under remodel, and the room we had looked like was just done. Everything was clean and comfortable in the room. The view of the water was awesome and you could sit outside and enjoy the view and weather.
The lobby and dining facility was a little worn, but I was able to overlook that considering the price and how nice the room was. The area surrounding the hotel is not the best, but I felt safe for the most part.
