    Lots to see and do.

Lots to see and do. Don't miss the Essex steam train for a dinner ride or just a ride and boat trip. Dinner a bit pricey but worth every bite. First class food. Mystic Village is a must, shop til you drop. Snack bars are the place to eat at if you like good seafood. Then there is the seaport another must to go through. The aquarium is a fun place for kids and older people.

The registration desk was so accomadating and even when I asked for an extra hour for discharge, it was graciiously granted. There was a lovely restaurant right across the street. And the corridors were very quiet

I have stayed here a few times and it is a good value. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure is great in the shower. This time I had a room in the back of the hotel and the train tracks are right beyond the parking lot, so I heard the trains. I would continue to stay here on my visits to the shoreline. The staff is always very nice and very professional. Easy location close to everything.

An old, historic Connecticut town, Old Saybrook is close to Routes 1 and 95. There is a beach and multiple beautiful buildings and houses, making for a picturesque ride wherever you are in town. Lots of restaurants and bars ranging from diners to several great French restaurants. There are an unusually-large number of shopping centers and stores for a town this size so everything is close and very convenient. Truly worth a visit.

Very pleased to see the resort fully staffed during a time where other properties are short staffed due to Covid related reasons. The management and owners must treat the employees very well. Everyone was attentive and friendly, and this is how it should be in the service industry. Nowadays it's hard to find good work ethic and top notch service. Again, hats off to the management for getting this right! The property was well maintained, clean and beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed the spa services and they were up to par with top notch spas we have visited over in Europe. Loved the pool area indoors especially the dry and wet sauna rooms. These are hard to find in most U.S. hotels these days. There are plenty of common areas outside your room to sit and relax and even enjoy the lobby fireplace on a comfy couch. Our visit was during Thanksgiving, but we look forward to visiting again when the warmer temps arrive in the summer. Outside deck and pool areas are spacious and very inviting. You could spend your whole day there and never get bored. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy stay without the big corporate feel of other resorts. This place has everything you need and is reasonably priced. Thank you "Saybrook Point", we will visit again soon! -Ron & Tetiana

I was in town to attend another family function at the Old Saybrook Inn and Marina, which is very nice but too expensive to lodge at. I’ve eaten at Skipper’s and the Penny Lane Pub. Restaurants in town have a long wait on the weekend.

When I booked the room I had paid for 3 rooms and there was supposed to be a continental breakfast. There was not any, then after I complained they said they have to go bags that could be made. So I paid for 12 breakfast and got none. Then planned on going in the pool and it is closed. They tried to use the Covid 19 excuse, but there are plenty of other hotels with their outdoor / and indoor pools open. This was a money grab, the place should have been $100 tops. Never will stay there again.

The location is excellent as far as getting in and out of the property. Right off I-95 and going into town is no problem, pretty much a straight shot. I happened to like the bed but my likes may not be somebody elses likes. The refrigerator in the room worked just fine and the A/C unit appeared pretty new. For an older hotel it suited me just fine.

Outside tables and chairs were nice for eating outside. Pleasant view from room. Quiet. Unlike some hotels, they did the housekeeping service each day. Microwave and fridge very useful. Complementary bottles of water were well received. Staff very pleasant.

The location. That was in the downtown area and it was close to the shops. Really wasn’t staying there to go shopping or anything as I live in the area just down the road but it’s always been a nice area you get to see the trains go by.
