Didn't get wake up call that was requested from 2 staff members, And room smelt like cigarettes
extremely small room, very loud air conditioner
plush bed very quiet
extremely slow elevators
great location great concierge Stanley
construction occuring during visit. only one working slow elevator
Older style hotel with a few quirks but loads of character. Super comfortable beds and great location - close to restaurants and shopping areas.
The shower head was barely shoulder high - but can put up with it for a couple of days.
old poor elevator over priced staff not friendly dirty halls rooms too small poor amenities décor horrible not user friendly
-friendliness and helpfulness of staff -location for our purposes was good -very comfortable bed -air conditioning that worked
-very small bathroom and refused to use shower because it scared me it was so old -only one elevator -no security at night to monitor noise-I had to deal with rowdy party next door for 3 hours - midnight til 3 am -thought hotel was upgraded but to me it was still like it was in the 1930's
Pleasant staff. Good location.
Major construction zone. Part of an emergency exit blocked with construction materials - no concern for safety. Only one small elevator working. Housekeeping half hearted. Sirens going outside all night long.Room very tiny for a double-had to turn sideways to get past furniture.
The hotel was in a great location in downtown Seattle. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was also a very cute coffee shop connected to it where you could get coffee, food and dessert.
The parking was very expensive and they were down to one elevator, which meant that you had to wait a long time just to get to your room, or back down to the lobby. Everyone seemed to make the best of the elevator situation by talking and joking around about the long wait.
Very small rooms, saggy bed. Also during the day they were doing some kind of construction work above us and we heard drilling.
staff were helpfull
had to use stairs to get to elevator room was smelly had to open window to clear, no restaurant
Rooms were not cleaned well - carpets seemed to be dirty all the time. Elevator was being worked on so huge traffic jam waiting for the lift.
Overpriced Small dark rooms.
Bathroom was very small.
There was only one working lift servicing the hotel, this was used by both guests and staff. On more than one occasion I had to wait in the vicinity of 15 minutes. To add to the woe once I finally did manage to get on the lift, it was the slowest moving one I've ever been in. There were no signs regarding the issue until after I complained about having to pass on 3 lifts as housekeeping were moving their carts from floor to floor. Poorly handled by both the staff & hotel management, the indifference shown was disappointing considering the cost of the hotel rooms.
Good location and relatively low price
Very, very slow elevator.
Being updated only one elevator worked
Location is good.
Lack of facilities and the renovation works was disturbing.
This feels like a two star hotel that thinks it's a four star hotel. Our room had some upgrades: new tile in the bathroom, rainfall shower head, but the rest of the room was dated and musty. Stains on the carpet, stains on the comforter (gross), heating vent was dusty and ready to fall out, old wallpaper and molding, etc. As everyone notes, the room was terribly small. There is a mini fridge, but it doesn't fit in the room so it sits awkwardly halfway in the corner. Only one person could walk around the bed at a time. No room to put our luggage. The worst was the bed. We booked a "spacious" Superior Queen Room which was neither spacious nor did it have a queen sized bed. The elevator is slow. Being on the top floor, we were always waiting for it. In the elevator, we frequently opened to empty halls - somebody called the elevator and gave up after waiting.
The location was great and the staff was friendly, but everything else was way below our expectations. Especially for the price.
nothing about the hotel; valet was most helpful.
Hotel had only one operating elevator, which required several steps to reach from the lobby. Hotel staff was less that cordial. Carpet was dirty; rooms in great need of repair/renovation, yet the bathroom had been renovated. Bedding was clearly unclean.
Worst hotel have ever stayed in. Room was DIRTY, small and bathroom the size of a cupboard. Staff were unattentive. Noise from adjoining bedrooms terrible [and noisy until around 3am]. This hotel can only be described as a DUMP!
The staff was not helpful at all' just doing their (minimal) job....
staff very helpful
small room, one elavator not working, an inconvienance
beds were comfortable decent location
elevators too slow cleaning crew thought they took priority over guests on the slow elevator Rooms very small Walls too thin coud hear the people next store load and clear at 1am

A little noisy
