The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help us and make sure our stay was great! The room was spacious and comfortable and the wifi was super fast :-)
Noise, size, cleanliness
paying for parking
Location was great, staff pleasant and helpful. Lodge restaurant in building was excellent.
Very small, pillows uncomfortable, nosy neighbors and a clogged tub. We moved and instead of a clogged tub, traded for the nosy neighbors.
location, friendly staff, next to a very good restaurant, clean
small bathroom but some updates
Walking distance to harbour and downtown
Too hot in room at first but this was fixed when we complained
Room was exceedingly warm. Had to turn the AC on at one point.
Bed was super, super comfy
Room was tiny. Like the bed barely fit in the room. When I first entered the room, I had to have door repaired (missing a screw that held the lock in place -- the door wouldn't shut). Then overnight, the heat wouldn't turn down so I had to leave the window open (and it was 40 degrees out)
Great location and service.
Could use larger trash cans and robe hooks.
Attached restaurant had good casual food
General wear and tear or our room - small holes in the shower curtain, tub pulling away from the floor tiles, very dirty carpets walking to our room.
Great location, good value
Room is small - bathroom is cramped.
THE STAFF WERE GREAT
THE ROOM WE REQUESTED. A QUIET ROOM ON AN UPPER FLOOR TURNED OUT TO BE ONE FLOOR ABOVE THE SERVICE ENTRANCE IN THE LANE. NOISY OUTSIDE AND IN, WITH THE WATER RUNNING IN THE HEATING UNIT FULL BLAST ON OR OFF. THE SHEETS WHEN WE TURNED THEM DOWN HAD A SHOE PRINT STAIN AND MAKEUP MARKS. WON'T BE BACK
Great location. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and waterfront.
No counter space, not even enough for a tough brush. Plumbing fixtures, etc. were unfinished and/or weird e.g. Our friends room had the toilet lid installed behind the flush handle which would not allow the lid to close or the seat to be lifted into an upright position. His walk in shower also didn't have sufficient doors to keep water from spraying and leaking all over the room. We overheard other guest complain of the same problems. The front desk blamed it on recent remodeling construction. I blame it on a lack of oversight by management....
The room was as advertised: clean and spacious. I liked that it's downtown.
The hallway and carpets look old/ghetto.
There were only 2 positives during my stay and that was the bed and the location. The bed was the only saving grace for the stay. Everything was in walking distance which proved very convenient
The room was extremely hot and the window was not functional and I had to put the trash can on the sill to hold it up to allow for cool air to come into the room; I was sweating every night. The bathroom was TOO small and bumped my forehead on the shelf above the sink that stuck out farther than there was room. Room service did not come clean the room 2 days in a row even after I called the front desk the first time it was not cleaned. The hotel was extremely overpriced with the lacking amenities and poor accommodations. I will never stay at this hotel again unless they make drastic improvements.
When booked there was no restaurant in the hotel. A restaurant opened Oct 11/14 called The Lodge and it was very good.
Booked Aug 11/14 for visit Nov 1/14 Had asked for 2 Queen beds in one room and 1 King in the other. Got neither. Offered to give us a cot. Never materialized as they only have 1 and it was broken. Found that out the following morning. Also the shower did not work. Moved us to a room exactly as I had requested for the second night. This was good, however, the Manager had left a note for the day staff to move us to the new room that day and upon arriving at the Hotel after being out all day this was not done. Manager had to look after this himself.
wifi poor, rundown
the staff is OK
the room is very small and noisy, not value for money
I was told it was close to the convention center. It wasn't close
Very small bathroom for a double room
coffee shop downstairs
excessive wait for elevators
That the hotel was close to the stadium and other great places.
I noticed mold in the bathroom and window curtains.
Everything, the room was extremely small, it was musty, cleaning staff did not replace shampoo or conditioner. It was a complete disappointment. Would never reserve this hotel again.
location was great, staff was fantastic
only one elevator worked
It was a block & a half from the 5th Ave Theater - which was why we were there.
The room was very small, with hardly any walk space around the bed. Both of us could not be in the bathroom at the same time. No microwave or fridge.
