On 2nd floor every Sunday morning they hold an African church service and it's extremely loud. They bang on things and have shakers. They also host events on 2nd floor that can be quite loud while you're trying to relax.
That there was a microwave and refrigerator in the rooms.
Depending on the rep you meet, u could get overloaded with up to $50 in extra charges for a night or 2 stay. When asked why? She would say its because you booked at Booking.com and that as a manager, she has to charge everything. Well, what is everything? My good bargain didnt seem so good anymore afterall. Also, the higher rooms dont have enough prepare for a warm shower.
The location affords easy access to I-95. The facility is very clean and the front-desk staff is very friendly.
The building is not well sound-proofed if at all. I could not sleep well because I could hear the sound of the traffic on I-95 even though I was on the 4th floor. The sound of the music been played on the first floor also seemed to be coming from the room next door.
Front desk, Monica always pleasant and professional. Rooms always clean Great value for the money.
Staff, facilities, restaurant. All really nice.
Close to airport price is good staff are friendly rooms are good and clean Breakfast is nice
Most all the staff were very freindly. They were pretty accommodating. Sleep number Beds are very comfy. Quite location cleaner NJ shopping just over the freeway!
Someone's forehead print on my window. Costs $17 dollars per day per person to ride the nj transit to NYC. Was told free shuttle to the train station untill 1 am the the time changed to 12 am then to 11:45 pm just to find out they only really have scheduled times but will make extra trips to accomidate if they have the time but only till midnight. Hotel is in the industrial part of town. And do not use Google maps to get you there. Breakfast was warm-ish potatoes watered down or 1% milk watered down yogurt horrible coffee and sausage was alright I guess, eggs from a carton! Ooohhhh and they did have a kerig WITH DECAFFEINATED COFFEE! So eat out bring your own coffee and if Visiting NYC stay in Secaucus
I loved the bed and the mini fridge and microwave.
When we entered into our original room it looked as if the room was already occupied. The tv was on, there was a open can of soda on the night stan and the handsoap in the bathroom was opened and used.
The fire place the staff When first checking in was pleasent.
I didn't like no hot water the toilet ran constantly the food was not to my liking the ceiling had a big crack the staff checking out would not get off her phone
The room was clean and comfortable and had a microwave and mini-fridge. The hotel is right off the NJ turnpike so it was convenient for me.
Breakfast was bad. The scrambled eggs didn't taste great; the sausage was extremely salty and the potatoes were poorly seasoned. The bread was stale. There was no wifi connectivity in my room. There is a business center but really they shouldn't advertise free wifi if you can't connect to it from your room.
It's my 4th time staying here. I'm originally from carteret and moved upstate NY , I make a trip to NJ 4 to 5 times a year and have always stay here.
Breakfast could be alittle improved
Room set up, Clean room, great staff. Would definitely recommend it. Worth the money!
Nice and courteous staff, good food, awesome and quiet area.
Their suites are small, not what I was expecting and there is no heat vents in the bedroom.
Didn't like the adjustable bed, very uncomfortable .
I really enjoyed the friendly staff especially the young lady that was at the front desk at 2 p.m. I enjoyed the room it had everything we needed. Big screen TV, Keurig in the bathroom, microwave and fridge.
The only thing I did not like was the king size Number bed. It was very uncomfortable for me and my girlfriend. Also the sofa was as hard as a rock. Take care of these two problems and you would be a perfect 10.
Rooms were excellent
Friendly Front office staff. Close to Turnpike.
The water from the sink and tub were cold!! There was no Hot water in Winter?
There are two hotels in Carteret, this (Executive Suites) and Holiday Inn. I stayed at both, and this place is better when it comes to cleanliness and comfort. The Holiday Inn is way too big, so housekeeping is poor. Here, it is done properly. The bed is remotely adjustable, so it's comfortable. Plenty of pillows, towels. Friendly and accommodating staff, especially the daytime-afternoon staff. Breakfast is free, while at the neighboring Holiday Inn it is not.
Wifi gets bogged down with traffic. The bathroom could do with some upgrading. There's an additional "utility fee," though it's only four bucks.
WiFi not strong. Refrigerator not really cold. Channels are limited.
The hotel has a rich and elegant feel. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Amenities on the grounds & in your room are well maintained and modern. You have the 5star effect while paying much less. I hope they increase this chain of hotels. And best rest away from home ever!
What's not to like... Wonderful place..
Close to Newark airport. Shuttle service to this airport.
Very far from JFK airport with very few and expansive transport options. Shuttle to train station only runs at 10:00, 15:00 and 18:00.
Good breakfast, nice staff
food sometimes hit or miss in restaurant
STaff very friendly I got in late and bartender would always take care of my food order.
Highway noise a little too much...
I'm originally from carteret and when I travel back to see family , my wife and I stay here. Two months ago on a last minute trip we had to stay at the holiday Inn across the bridge and it was a horror. Executive suite is amazing place , staff are professional, place is clean , beds are out of this world.
