This place is not for a family or kids because the night we staied there they had hookers, loid music and noise throughout the night. This place sucks. they advised me if I want my money back to contact Booking.com and they will send them a email and Days inn will refund my second night, that was a lie, they I contacted Booking.com costermer service and they lied also by telling me they will get me refund in ten days, that was another lie.

we were there for our Son's wedding so we were in festive mode anyway.
We also stayed at a hotel in Otay Ranch Town Center which was much closer to all of the Wedding activities and Wedding. Lots of good places to eat and things to do there.
We like the Rambler because it is more centrally located to all of the San Diego area and is really easy to get in and out of. We prefer to stay at Hotels that are not the homogenous chain type and that have a more local flavor which The Rambler certainly has. We look forward to our next stay at the Rambler. We hope it's soon.

I loved everything around, wish we've stayed longer but what a comfortable hotel for the little hours we were in it, definitely going back soon! It had a lot of places nearby to check out plus the border being near by is definitely a plus!

The bathroom is infested with cucarachas / 🪳 roaches
They were everywhere on top of the sink and on my tooth brush I had to trowed it away
The complete bathroom had an horrible smell
I asked for a king size bed and I got a queen size
Not a single chair to sit on
There was no comforter !
I will not stay at this hotel again !!
I sure would love to have my money back
But I know it would be to much to ask .

Horrible experience, first of all at checkin the credit card machine wasn’t working so the employee send me to the nearest gas station to get cash from an ATM. After I did that we went to our room and as soon as we open the door we notice water on the flood and the room smelled funny. The AC unit was leaking. The bathroom door don’t have a handle nor a lock, just a freaking whole where the handle goes. There was also a water Roach on the bathroom wall. After all that I honestly couldn’t stay there any longer and we ended up leaving after paying $80 dollars for the night.
Nothing! Location, room, staff were terrible. I read the reviews and expected a family safe hotel. It wasn't among the cheapest by far so definitely expected it to be at least a 3 star... But I wouldn't even give it a 1. It was so bad that I cancelled regardless of the one night minimum charge ($198) and took my family elsewhere.
Safe and secure. Plenty of parking. McDonald's is just across the parking lot. Other restaurants close as well as a mall. Near J St Marina which has a park and beach. Close to downtown San Diego and downtown Chula Vista, Imperial, Ocean, Mission, and Pacific Beach communities, SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and Balboa Park.
I really appreciate this hotel because they let us stay even though we had problems with there new payment system up to 4 nights. The room was clean and very sweet to sleep in. The manager even let us stay with a late check out time, my co-worker loved that. God bless them. Pastor Howard Johnson sends His blessings too.
Everything clean about the room . Room smell nice&clean ,and patron everyone busy coming and going to work , Not standing around asking people do they wanted to buy Zoo. I hnever seen that there. It's shame they are able to stay at that hotel in Elcagon CA
Travelled w 3 children u/ 10. Newer hotel that was fresh looking and smelling. Pool was clean a jacuzzi way HOT! Kitchen staff very friendly and attentive. Beautiful area w/well lit streets and w/in walking distance of everything.
The room was beautiful and wonderful. We loved the fact that it was an historic landmark. The room was quiet and clean and the staff was wonderful! I also loved that the rooms were named for different districts in San Diego
Room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast had a wide variety of foods. Hotel felt safe and was in good condition. Bought tickets to the zoo in the hotel lobby for a cheaper price than tickets sold at the zoo.
The breakfast was amazing. Special thanks to Alex, who managed the breakfast and was very welcoming. He really made our days here start great!
The location is perfect for trips to both San Diego and Tijuana as well.
Almost nothing, maybe just the free parking which is usual in all the hotels in this area.
This hotel is nothing compared to La quinta inn in LA where we used to stay. I wouldn't stay here again
Loved the fun vintage vibe and decor of the hotel. Everything was super clean. It’s near the E Street Transit Center. I liked the nearby walking/biking trails. The bed was super comfy.
Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. There was a pool. Tons of cheap places to eat. Laundromat near by. My room was in the back so limited noise. Staff was friendly.
Cheap price. Close to the freeway. McDonalds is right by there, next to a gas station. That's about it really. There's not much else I can say that I enjoyed.
The price is quite cheap. The hotel provides the free parking. No breakfast right now, but you can get homemade coffee in the morning. The staff is excellent.
