Cleanliness, staff, breakfast, room size, facilities for guests overall were good.
The approaches to the hotel on foot make you apprehensive.
we really had a Good time !
Breakfast room to small for all the people there :(
Liked the little lobby bar.
Fitness room was barely equipped with less the state of the art equipment.
Access to public transportation and airports. Front desk staff friendly and accommodating.
The train interrupted my sleep. Would prefer a room on the other side if I decide to stay there again.
nice clean room and good size tv nice quite ac
have to pay extra for a room with the Manhattan view
AC just worked in my room just in on/off mode Breakfast with plastics cutterly for 180usd per night...
Generally a good place to stay, quite convenient to get to all parts of Manhattan by subway, Midtown especially.
The elevated rail line running next to the hotel is quite loud, but I managed to sleep well with proper ear plugs. The breakfast is not really worse than other "continental" breakfasts I've had at hotels in the US, except the coffee really didn't taste of anything.
cleanliness staff were very nice
I think from 6-9 when breakfast was available there should of been one staff member present at all times to either refill food or get someone else to refill it...also orange juice/apple juice machine never had both juices working at same time..kind of a pain..another garbage can or undercounter garbage can available would of kept maybe counters cleaner...and the only other thing which isnt really a complaint just a suggestion is that since the hotel is not really close to things like downtown I think it would be good for people like us that were tourists from Canada and it was our first time in New York City that when you check in you are given a list of restaurants/pubs/diners etc that are in close walking distance to hotel...we found by accident on our last night the wonderful Crescent Grill...if we would of known it was there we would of went the first night and not gone back to Manhatten...not being from the area and being 3 women we did not know how safe it was to walk and how far to walk before maybe we were in an area that we shouldnt of been...the Crescent Grill was a godsend...a wonderful meal and very nice people in your neighborhood that they told us just opened up last July.I will definitely go back next time and we would of walked there even just for a drink at the beautiful bar they had...just a thought.
The wifi speed was ok.
No courtesy in hotel. Had a kid with me on my trip with lots of luggage to handle on arrival. Not a single help was available. Front desk officer was very unprofessional while handling my check out. So much that he didn't ask for the room keys at my departure.
Staff very helpful and rooms cleaned daily.Breakfast self service but good with plenty of variety.Could not fault this hotel stayed with my wife and teenage son for 11 nights in March 2014.Near subway.
The staff was nice and the rooms were clean.
The staff was very understanding and patient with me.
fire alarme went on at 7 in the morning on december 26 for no reason
The staff in the morning was really nice and helpful.
Double charge the fee of valet parking. When call to the hotel, they promised that their manager would call on the next day, but the manager didn't call.
very clean, good, friendly staff
bad location, breakfest not international, "like USA standard" , this standard is not for international guests!!"
It's so good we're staying at Fairfield in Dallas right now
The staff was amazing! Noel especially...Booking.com almost ruined my trip and Noel went out of his way to make me comfortable as possible! Loved the shower...Nice view...TV Had descent number of channels...
Booking.com would be the first they nearly destroyed my trip!! The sheets on the bed were dirty and the shower had a slight mildew smell...nothing major
The staff was great. Easy access to the subway. Room was always cleaned in a timely manner. Great price ... Great value.
Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and professional.
Room was small but clean and comfortable
It was very neat and inviting, the customer service was great
It was great to return to an exceedingly comfortable bed each day after exploring the big apple. Our room was always cleaned well and fresh towels provided when required. We liked the breakfast selection and the plentiful top up service provided by Jasmine and Natasha every morning, and it was great to able to toast muffins and bread and have with bacon and delicious scrambled eggs. It was a lovely surprise that the breakfast was included in the room price. A big plus is also the location of the hotel as it is ideally situated between two major subway (n,q, r and e) routes into manhattan. We asked for a room in a quiet location and Alex and Eleni on reception did their best to accommodate our request. If you have a manhattan view at the front of the hotel, you are more exposed to the train noise but the double glazing and a set of earplugs help especially at bedtime. We liked being able to serve ourselves from the ice dispensers located on several floors of the hotel. The hotel staff certainly lived up to their mission statement of being courteous, and trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We would return.
Not many restaurants or bars within the vicinity of the hotel but take the train from 39th street to 36th street (one stop) or all the way to Astoria Ditmars and you will find a good selection.
1. It is new, so the design is OK
1. Location: there is absolutely nothing around (no restaurant, no shop, etc) 2. Room service: you cannot order a drink from the bar and have it delivered to your room. You have to go yourself down to the bar and carry yourself your drink to your room. 3. Eating: there's no restaurant anywhere near the hotel. So they give you menus for food delivery. I ordered a pizza and had to wait 1 hour before it arrives. when it arrived, they didn't allow the delivery to my room. Again, I had to go down to the reception myself to get my food and carry it to my room. 4. Sleeping: the noise of the train behind is horrendous, all night: I had to sleep with earplugs (luckily, I had some...)
The staff were so gentle and nice during all our stay! We really felt comfortables and safes.
