Feather pillows. Non_allergenic pillows should be readily available.
Walking distance to restaurants; room comfort; decent harbor view;
Breakfast; expensive for the room you get;
The harbour views, nice room. Free parking. Ideally close to everything there is to see in New Bedford.
Breakfast area and choices. The hotel is quite pricey and as such expected a proper breakfast. But it was typically plastic knives, forks and plates :( and the usual bagel, toast and make you own waffle. Such a shame.
Very nice situated close to the harbor.
A great hotel up to the Marriott standard. Located by the harbor, I had a stunning view of the pier and fishing boats. I got this side of the hotel (the other side is a main road) because I wanted a quiet room. They gave me everything I wanted to make my stay a peaceful one. It is walking distance to the historic downtown and the Folk Festival which is why I was there. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet as promised. An added attraction were the 4th of July fireworks over the harbor. I was surprised to get a free hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, waffles, toast and bagels) because if you are even offered a breakfast in an ordinary hotel in America, it is usually a doughnut. It was heavy on the carbs and sugar, but you had some relatively healthy choices from the buffet table and most importantly, the coffee was good.
If you are going to Martha's Vineyard the ferry is across the street. If you want great seafood before you get to the Vineyard have dinner in New Bedford. The seafood restaurants are much better there than on the island.
Location was a bit far relative to the attractions we visited - but this was my selection.
Very close to the wharf and resturants that where very good.
The shower was for wheel chair access.
Clean and comfortable accommodation with helpful staff. Walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Good selection at breakfast.
Patchy wi-fi signal
Noise in the roadside room. Noisy airconditioning. Breakfast... Free WiFi only for low speed. Troubles with obtaining IP address.
I loved the location. It was right on the harbor, which I was not expecting. The rooms were very nice and clean when we showed up.
It's a bit expensive, but hey, we were there for a week.
Very friendly staff. Rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Location was convenient to the way.
we had a suite with a sofa bed. For our daughter It was a nightmare to sleep in the sofa bed because it felt like sleeping on spirals. When we asked the staff they only gave us some extra blankets.
Great size room awesome breakfast friendly staff
The front desk was the best part of our stay. From the moment we walked in they went out of their way to help. There is a vast difference between service because it's a job and exemplary service because you're that type of person. I've traveled quite extensively and don't expect much beyond the basics. This staff treated us as though we were in a fives star hotel. Not because it was expected of them but merely because they are fine individuals. It is my fervent hope that the front desk employees are recognized for their efforts. The remaining staff were extremely helpful as well. This hotel understands that travelers have choices as to the hotel they choose. It's also a reflection of the management styles. Treat your customers with care, be as helpful as possible and don't merely perform the minimum to get the job done. I would refer anyone to this hotel and to your chain. If I'm ever in the area again; I look forward to staying there again. Please check the records to ascertain as which front desk employees were on duty. Especially the one that checked us in and was there the following day. I can't recall her name. Thank you, Jeanne Presley Bethany Pique
the bed was very comfortable
there was smoking on the fourth floor.
The rooms were clean comfortable and quiet..and the bold modern colors were a refreshing change in New England..really comfy beds and sheets. The breakfast set up and seating arrangement was another fun surprise. And even in Winter in was a very easy walk to all the key restaurants and museums. Bravo Fairfield.
Staff very courteous and helpful.
there was nothing we didn't like!
Selected your hotel for location and the indoor pool. The pool was closed Monday for maintenance and we were told it would be open Tuesday. On Tuesday we were informed it was not open again for maintenance. When I asked if it was only open week ends, I was told that it was hard to determine. While we understand the need for maintenance, we would have appreciated knowing up front if it was only open on weekends, or what your maintenance schedule is up front.
Terrible breakfast - fruit salad was not edible due to very strong preservatives. Powdered eggs. Paper cups, plastic cutlery, bad coffee. Room smelt of smoke. Location is poor.
The breakfast was good. The fact that there was coffee all day and night. Everything was neatly arranged and clean.
There was no lounge. It would have been nice to sit and have a drink. It also would have been to nice to have a small refrigerator in the room.
Very impressed with the free breakfast. Carpet and bedding appeared new and we liked the color scheme. Very comfortable bed.
Our room was right across from the elevator and you could hear the noise from the people coming to our floor.
The hotel was situated by the waterfront, next to an excellent sea food restaurant, and the staff was excellent. I misplaced my GPS and one of the workers found it and returned it to me. That is not only excellent service--it is, in this time and place, worthy of highest praise.
I felt the hotel was a bit pricey, but I may be out of touch here. The hotel, clearly, caters to business travelers and I was not one of those.
