All in all i pleasant stay at an "affordable price"
Noise from the street
Every thing i was looking for peace and quit and i got it. The breakfast was excellent.
The coffee in the breakfast area
I don't want to sound harsh, we arrived in the middle of an industrial estate which they should put in photos. The room smelt of damp and the coffee machine was in the bathroom. The curtains didnt close at all. The tv didnt work and when we reported it no one was sent to fix this. The following morning we reported it to the manager who shrugged her shoulders and did not really care because we had told her we were leaving. Was very disappointed as this was my our first time in the US and it just left us feeling really down for the rest of the trip
Rooms have great views. The beds are superb, and the rooms are spotless. The breakfast is great considering it's free. Prices are unbeatable off-season at $107 per night.
They jack up the prices during peak-seasons over $200, and although rooms are great it's really not worth it when you can find similar hotels in the price range in Manhattan. They charge $25 per night for parking within the premises, and if you want to avoid that it's REALLY hard to find street-parking at night, given it's in an industrial complex. Subway is too far by walking - I have not tried the shuttle, but when you're traveling you want to have the peace of mind that you can check-in anytime without having to wait for the shuttle.
Staff, view from Manhattan side (After changing room)
Noise; one time dishes used for breakfast
Shuttle to the train station, value for the price. Clean
There was a bit too much outside noise. Street noise.
No free wifi
Price was good Breakfast was good especially the fresh fruit salad
No slippers. Remember to bring your own slippers. Wished I had a city view room
the view and the breakfast/coffee area. staff was very helpful and friendly.
i wish the area was more lively,
Rooms were nice and daily nicely maintained by maid, bathroom, computer with printing facilities, breakfast although not so wide. Frequent and free minibus service compensate a bit off track location, as no shops or restaurant in vicinity. AC in rooms. Beds, crib was also arranged prior arrival. Drink and snack available from near reception for purchase. Gym.
A bit off track from shops, restaurant, subway if no car - 15 min walk. Hotel parking can be full, but free parking on street nearby.
beds - coffee
breakfast - bathroom without a tub - receptionist - location
Breakfast was great with lots of quality healthy choices. Location is convenient with shuttles to train and an $8 cab or a 10-20 min walk to greenpioint/williamsburg which is where I spent my time.
TV in room hsd issue my entire stay.
shuttle service free breakfast
compared to other Marriott hotel, bed was not as comfortable. Still good but not what I come to expect from Marriott
Staff is very friendly en helpful. Room clean and neat. Regular shuttle to nearest subway station is a great help, and from there we are at 5th avenue and Times Square in about 15 minutes.
The staff was excellent. I have no complaints.man they even call my room to check on me to see how i was doing and if i needed any thing.that is great nwver had that before.
I was confused about the cost of the room and i didnt know if iwould have been cheaper if i had use my airlines as a dlight attendant. I didnt complain.
The location a few minutes away from La Guardia Airport only $15 cab service fee. $15 Cab fee to go Up Town Manhattan or 4 blocks away from the "F" train to all stations. Metro area of Queens Blvd...nice food and night places to go. OMG--the view from the 6th floor facing the city--it was perfect and romantic...!!
The breakfast---but is was free slow WiFi connection but the privacy and the bed was awesome...
It's close to Manhattan mid-town by subway and local #7 runs very frequent.
Room was very good
Parking is extremely tight and difficult to maneuver
Room was nice, good price.
Noise outside very early in the morning. Parking is too expensive.
good price and good value for money
I like the neatness of the room, the Complimentary breakfast was superb, Staff attitude was ok and Location was very good. The best thing was the shuttle bus, that takes you to were you could get a train to Manhattan e.t.c
i dont like the fact that you need to order food from outside the hotel, and i dont like the idea of no porter.
View kind of clouded by warehouse facility. But behind that u can see the skyline
Location, shuttle service to the subway. Continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Dark quiet room.
Ice machine 3rd floor filter needs changing. No shuttle service to airports.
The staff were exceptional and the food was very good. The room was nice and very clean. The free shuttle to the subway was a bonus and the drivers were very accommodating.
I couldn't afford to stay on Manhattan as it was UN week, so this was the first place that fitted my budget that was near-ish. The shuttle to the subway was regular, prompt and reliable. The subway has you are Grand Central really quickly so I didn't regret not paying silly money for a Manhattan hotel. There is an Irish bar 5 minutes walk away with decent food and friendly clientele. Breakfast was free and pretty basic but did the job. Sweet pancakes are great but weekends only!
The hotel doesn't have a proper bar, but the Irish place across the road made up for that. Location is a bit industrial and I wouldn't fancy walking around on my own at night if I was a girl.
