A good location, clean rooms, helpful staff...
Nothing serious but the false fire alarm.. But that also proves their system can wake everyone up in case of a real emergency, which is good from that angle :)
The location was good. It Kept me close to my office for work the next day.
Oh boy... There was a terrible terrible oppressive smell of marijuana coming from one of the adjacent rooms or through the ventilation ducts. It kept me up all night. The room is very small compared to the Times Square location where I've stayed three times so far. I LOVE that hotel! I had booked myself to have breakfast at the Chelsea hotel, but decided to have breakfast delivered instead. Eh, you win some and you lose some.
Comfortable room And breakfast room
I do not wish to have my name used, or to get emails!
I had a medical emergency which necessitated my staying an additional period of time. The staff was very supportive to my wife during the period of time I was in the hospital.
Our first NY experience was quite good, the location of hotel was perfect, it was in the flower district - midtown, the staff very helpful (especially qwana at the reception desk, who was incredibly lovely and friendly) Overall the hotel was good, I cannot say anything about the breakfast as we did not try it during our 9 day stay. Wifi was perfectly working even in rooms. "King" size bed was not really kind size but very comfortable, we slept very good! Everything for sightseeing and shopping was in walking distance, subway station (red / yellow line) just few meters away in case you want to go up- / downtown / brooklyn. Many restaurants around the block. Good place for short / long trips IF you are not going to spend too much time in the hotel!
The rooms were very tiny, we have never experienced such a small room before, the room was looking back to a yard, next to a block, so there was no real sunlight in the room. Also, room was very, very dark which was very disturbing. Hotel is only recommended for those who are not staying much in the room, but rather spending it outside.
Staff was friendly, breakfast OK, newspapers useful, location is very good, close to Broadway, Fashion District, and not far from Central Park, overall good value for your money, I would come again.
Room a little bit small Water leaked through shower door Elevators slow at times We got a room looking to other buildings, not a special view.
The location is great. Very close to subway line..and walking distance to times square. Room was on the small side but that's normal for NY..Tokyo...London. Rooms was clean and bathroom was ok..Although shower curtain was stained/old/short. Breakfast was adequate for a days start.
A bit expensive for the small rooms.
Our view was 28th Street which is normal city sidewalks with normal stuff stacked around at night. Every morning it TRANSFORMS to be absolutely beautiful! Try to get a room that looks on to 28th. Mornings are magical. I won't spoil the surprise by saying why.
A/C adjustment was finicky.
Everything. Secure smoking facility.
Sometimes during day the coffee flasks were empty
Location is very good, staff is friendly, bed is comfortable, room is at reasonable size, quiet & very clean, elevator is fast. We really liked our stay and would definitely stay at the same hotel during our next visit to NYC.
Excellent location. Rooms in the back are very quiet. Beds are comfortable.
No restaurant, expensive - but normal for the area. Be nice if they sold snacks and drinks on premises like some of the other hotels do.
Location, cleanliness, staff The flower district is also so pretty !.
Fiendly, well informed staff. Great location. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room.
Location was fine. Close to the office so easy to walk. I don't need much from a hotel so size of room, breakfast etc. is of little importance to me.
The air handling in the room. Either the aircon was operating and sounded like a jet engine taking off while chilling the room to arctic conditions or it was off and the room temperature sky-rocketed. This was the difference between putting the thermostat at 71 or 73F. Quite possibly the worst two nights' sleep I have had recently.
Friendly staff,roof garden , weather
Food , breakfast poor, bed uncomfortable
Dark, small room, poor breakfast, bath needs repair
I went to NYC with my sister who was visiting me from our home country. So we needed a room with 2 beds, which we got at this hotel at a reasonable price, even though we booked few days in advance. Free breakfast was very convenient and tv channel selection was good, though I missed food network channel. The hotel provides free coffee and tea downstairs, which we needed given that it was chilly in nights we were there.
The room was tight and not well lit. Towels look over used and beds were small and the carpet was stained. We got a room on second floor (203) and the view was not the good. The layout of the room was also strange and very small closet considering that the room should accommodate 2 adult people. Overall, is a fair hotel but I would rather pay a little more and be more comfortable.
Like your hotel almost everything, service ,location, cleanness,
Printer couldn't be used
Quality of sleep, extremely quiet for Manhattan standards
Rooms are a bit too small compared to other American experiences
Central location, near Metro breakfast good but always equal
Very Small room, reception staff not able to comunicate New York roules ( after check-in and unloaded our bags from the car and took them into the room and then move the car in the hotel parking (not more than 5 minutes), the police in New York gave me a notice of parking violation ($ 115) because the car stood in front of the hydrant in front of the hotel but no one of the hotel staff alerted me (move the car 3 feet): really incompetent.)
I loved the location of this hotel. It was in walking distance to resturants, bars, subway,Bryant;s park, Macy's, Times Square. You could see the lights of the Empire state building really close at nights, got some really great pics.Within my third day in New York I was able to move around on my own at times and this was my first visit there. Breakfast was good and staff greeted us warmly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone ( even if it's your first visit like me)
When travelling I tend to pack "light" and because of the length of my stay I wished there was the use of a laundry for guest.
Amazing is all I can say
We were in NYC to move our daughter into her dorm at F.I.T. Had a dolly & bunch of empty bins that the staff at the hotel was gracious enough to store for the remainder of our stay, so we didn't need to cram them into our room.
Only complaint - I couldn't apply this stay to Marriott points, due to booking thru Booking.com.
Location suited me personally. Staff was helpful.
Very expensive as most hotels in NY, overpriced, but not the worst. Lot of noise from the street.
Location, room, large bed
Everyday same ordinary breakfast, would like more healthy options, wifi sometimes unstable.
