The shuttle to Portsmouth was a great addition!
Not much - unless they put in an indoor pool
Evening shuttle was nice and desk staff was very accommodating
Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. Maybe previous guest was smoking in room or had once been a smoking room.
Worn out not the usual marriot Standards
Nothing - all great!
Two queen size beds, instead of ( I'm assuming) Double beds.
Only the bed size
Pool, spacious room, free shuttle to town, good breakfast.
The shuttle service was great!!
very happy & helpful staff @ the front desk & kitchen shuttle to historic downtown knowledgable staff as to great restaurants
Luckily we were just passing through and needed a last minute room for one night, and they had availability.
The room was overpriced for what it was. We have stayed at Fairfield Inns multiple times, so I chose it off the internet by name...but we did not think it lived up to it's usual reputation.
Clean, comfortable and great staff. I also liked the shuttle service to downtown.
We were assigned room; bathtub was filthy, a consequence of city water having been shut down for several days. Staff immediately reassigned us to a 2nd room. that room, regrettably, had water leaking from ceiling, with significant carpet water. When we raised concern, staff quickly and promptly reassigned us - by that time, they had asked housekeeping to clean bathtub of original room, so we were reassigned to that room.
Breakfast was a great surprise
quiet location breakfast was good very comfortable beds
sink outside bathroom
The front desk staff were very friendly, approachable and helpful. The most helpful we've had in our two months of travel around the USA.
We were told when we checked in there was a free shuttle and then when we went to go out they told us the shuttle was not running so we were given a voucher for a cab. I feel they should have paid for the cab where they advertise free shuttle and we were told they had one and then they did not provide one Breakfast was minimal and cold
Great Wi-Fi connection and staff were courteous.
Permanent musty odor in the room and proximity to downtown Portsmouth was farther than stated on website of booking.com.
the breakfast was very good, excellent experience
Check in staff very friendly and the room very quiet in evening and morning.
not many amenities in room, only paper cups for drinking
The internet was a lot faster than expected. Bed was very comfortable.
When I checked in, the gentleman at the front desk asked us how he could help us, but that was the most I heard him speak for an awkward 5-7 minutes while he charged my card. I don't know his name, because he never introduced himself. He then proceeded to mumble about the breakfast, wifi and shuttle, but never any information about the exits, when check out time was, where the ice machines were, etc. We proceeded to our room, through the worlds slowest elevator (which later it's clear everyone suffers with) to find a messy, dirty room. Towels all over the floor, the bed slept in, garbage, etc. I just figured they missed the room so we went back down with a good attitude, and told the man our room hadn't been maid yet. He then said "oh" and proceeded to switch rooms on his computer but never once said anything more. No apology, no excuse, nothing. He just crossed out the room number on our envelope and handed it back with new keys. When we arrived at our new room, it came equipped with both a broken frigerator AND broken microwave (the only two amenities this room boasts) and they don't even work. This was a major letdown, and I didn't expect much in the first place, for the price and look. But I would have rather stayed home.
breakfast was excellent, very friendly staff and shuttle service was great.
It was a Saturday night and they didn't tell us the shuttle only ran until 10:00p.m. So if we wanted to listen to some music or stay a little later in downtown Portsmouth we would have had to drive or take taxi. This is what we didn't like.
The staff was very friendly and accommadating. That is what we liked.
Everything seemed fine until we were leaving and while checking around the bed for anything we left, we noticed a Gatorade bottle that had never been removed from previous guests. Not a big deal, but it then makes you question what else they missed in cleaning the room.
Great location, good hot breakfast ,would go back
It was very clean, great staff, wonderful breakfast and a great location for what we had planned.
Nice rooms, Close to the beach and Portsmouth and the shuttle was a nice added feature even though I didn't use it. Breakfast was a nice touch.
Someone was making big noise @ 1:15 am in the 4th floor hallway.
