I loved the hotel and the double decker patio had great views of the city.
I never got an itemized bill for my stay. And when I called to be sure I was credited for my stay on my Marriott Rewards account, they too promised an email accounting which I never got.
Very comfortable and very nice staff. Good location for the metro and restaurants.
Was a bit noisy because of construction.
Nice bed and shower
Very noysy at night. They took almost half an hour to find my reservation.
Clean hotel, excellent room, beautiful view from roof deck, super friendly and helpful staff, prima location i.e. close to subway with easy access to Manhattan, near surroundings kinda shabby however not at all fearful. Absolutely to be recommended :)
front desk didn't acknowlege us the entire stay. 2nd floor is basement level, very musty and dark. location
Lobby totally small and close to opening door. Room had 3 large black areas that had been soaked with liquer, nasty smoke smell and to top it off the entire floor had at least 8 cigarette holes where people just put out there cig on. Asked to be reimbursed I was told I couldn't be and they would try another room, needless to say this one smelled more of liquer, peanuts still in the floor, bed skirts so dirty with splashed liquer all over them, yes we have photos , just nasty a total waste of $260.00 company dollars, I was super embarrassed because I use to be a employee of Marriott for 12 years and suggested it to my business partners to stay. Just sad what your service and quality has come down to
Room was good, location was good, staff helpful, and breakfast was free and adequate.
Parking unavailable especially if returning later at night
The hotel was very clean and new. The free breakfast offered more choices than is usually the case.
The surrounding neighborhood is slummy and industrial. There are no surrounding coffee shops/restaurants/shops. The staff is barely friendly. Don't stay at this hotel if you want to be near the Brooklyn Academy of Music which is really more than a 1/2 mile away.
The free breakfast
1. There were hotel guests playing loud music in the hotel parking lot from 5:30 am until 7 am. My bedroom window faced the parking lot so it woke me up and kept me awake. At 6 am I went to the lobby and asked the manager to ask the people to turndown their music but management did nothing. 2. Several billing errors were made on my account by the people at the front desk
The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the rooms were excellent! The breakfast had lots of choices and the location was close to subway lines.
The neighbourhood at night could be a little scary, but we did get used to it and traveled down 4th Ave. mostly from the Barclay Center.
Relatively close to the subway, easy to reach. Friendly staff. Nice view from the roof. Modern, comfortable room with very comfortable bed. Coffee and tea all the time. But it seems to be usual in the States.
Too simple breakfast, but it seems to be usual in the States.
The staff were all very approachable and helpful. They made every effort to assist with any query or issue. Room was comfortable, toiletries etc provided.
Eating off paper plates with plastic cutlery. The bikes (complimentary) were not in a good state of repair. It would have been helpful to have been told about the facilities available on booking in. E.g. there is a rooftop terrace, but we only found out about it when we were booking out. There did not appear to be sufficient places in the dining area to accommodate all of the people requiring breakfast.
Paying for parking is not right.
I stayed in several hotels while I was in NYC and all these hotels have received excellent ratings. However, I must say: This one is the best!
Very clean, enjoyed the free breakfast, great rooftop deck, friendly staff.
Hated the location.
The room was modern, clean and had an amazing shower. We enjoyed the extensive breakfast and took advantage of the roof deck with amazing view. Central location in Brooklyn.
The immediate area looks run down, but it is one block from a variety of shops and restaurants.
roof deck and views. breakfast. parking
small rooms. location near no good restaurants.
Although the surrounding area was a bit run down, the location was perfect with easy access to Manhattan plus we discovered great areas in Brooklyn within walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful. We loved that you could park at the property (although we didn't know the parking was not included), the breakfast was great and the roof top garden was amazing! We would recommend this hotel to others. Also loved that you offer bikes although we ended up not using them after all. Great hotel!
We found the surrounding neighbourhood a bit run down but it seems it is an area that is being rejuvenated and will soon be more walker-friendly. We didn't realize that parking was an extra charge, however it proved very convenient to have access to our car. The hotel itself is amazing.
The hotel is very nice. the rooms aren't too big, but comfortable enough. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was quite good: eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit (not from can!), breakfast, tea and A WAFFLE MAKER! the free wifi was a plus
The location isn't amazing. it's about 7 blocks from the subway that will take you into manhattan... lines r, q, b, d. It was like a 10-15min walk, not much but annoying when coming back at night after spending the whole day sight seeing.
Near to Barclay center
noisey party going on all night!!! Street noise
Clean room nice breakfast
Room was a little small
Location allowed for easy access to MTA train lines at Barclay Center and Union Street station. Breakfast was varied and good. Wifi reliable and fast. Hotel staff polite and helpful.
Two wash towels provided daily for the three of us staying in the room.
Clean & comfortable . Staff OK
Surrounding area. Flimsy plastic "cheap motel style glasses" in room.
