Central location in Fairhaven with views of the water from room and close connections to walking paths. Just parked the car, eat, drink be merry with no cares. Great staff, cookies and coffee all day and great continental breakfast. Patio rooms are the best. Third floor even better.
breakfast needs a bit more variety, decaf coffee bland
We live close but wanted to spend New Year's Eve in Fairhaven. We walked the beautiful Taylor Dock and all over Fairhaven. Everything you might want is within a short, picturesque walk. Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed and inviting fireplace. Really everything about our stay was perfect!
It's a beautiful place and the staff is excellent. Breakfast good, may I suggest a bit more protein and less carbs. Waffles were a nice touch but there was something too sugary about the meal.
That big blackness next door due to construction and the warehouse buildings in front of the view.
Charming and cozy atmosphere. Perfect location for access to fairhaven shops and a wonderful waterside trail.
We love the location in historic Fairhaven right next to our favorite walking path. The inn is very cozy and the beds are exceptionally comfortable
Construction next door. It wasn't a big deal, but it was a little noisy during the day. Obviously nothing that the Inn could have any control over.
This was my second stay at the Village Inn, and it was just as enjoyable this time. The lovely inn was decked out for Christmas, adding to the warm ambience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was perfect, and the breakfast was fresh and plentiful. I'd go back again and again.
I would book a room overlooking the street rather than the bay side because the warehouses below detract from the view.
The beds are great. The location is perfect. The community is wonderful.
Cozy, intimate, beautifully and well-appointed (no mini-fridges - ok by me, for others that may be important). Great location, within walking distance of variety of restaurants & shops. Facility itself was charming - free parking in back was very convenient. The whole experience was delightful.
Yes - it had views of the water but you were also looking at warehouses. Very minor in my book but important to know if you are expecting a spectacular vista outside your window.
Very nice place and nice front desk.
Free Wi-Fi. Complimentary breakfast on the first floor, which you can bring up to your room.
It is in a fantastic location in downtown Fairhaven. Definitely get a room on the water side.
The bed was very comfy and the room was quiet and dark. It was also spacious.
The towels were inexpensive and scratchy. The TV was small and far from the bed.
My partner and I had an amazing time staying at the village inn. The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean, they let us store our bikes in the conference room, and they let us check into our room before 3.
Very good customer service, incredibly soft sheets, nice breakfast room, perfect location.
Room ventilation system was fairly loud, and the continental breakfast, although very nicely set up, included cold hard-boiled eggs that would have been more enjoyable if served warm.
Very nice room. Plenty of lounging space, fireplace and comfortable chairs.
Paid for water view which was mostly obscured by industrial park buildings. Pictures in web site hid those buildings.
Very convenient for ferry. Close to good restaurants/shops. Accommodating staff.
Love the location, the sunny balcony and breakfast room, the building itself. Fairhaven is a great little corner of Bellingham and Bellingham is a great little corner of America. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Breakfast could be - and should be - so much more special. Seems like it came from Costco.
The deck was a wonderful place to view the sunset.
Pretty location, easy to get around, many places to walk to (food/shops), pleasant staff
Close to train so heard train whistles during the night, construction next door so two of the three mornings there the parking lot was blocked by material trucks for the construction site.
The room was nicely furnished.
The breakfast was what you would get at a cheap motel chain--not what you would expect at a nice B&B. The bed pillows were hard and lumpy.
Clean and nicely decorated Large room with fireplace and balcony Very friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast had very limited selection and was disappointing; nothing special at all. Hotel had been renovated and didn't have the "antique" feel that we were hoping for.
You feel transported to a different era in this small yet lively town. The inn is nicely situated. Shops and restaurants nearby and the most well stocked groceries stores I have ever come across in the village! I would make this place a must for any road trip stopover in the future.
Construction going on nearby.
Large comfortable clean room. Comfortable bed and room was quiet even though there was a building site next door. Staff was excellent and helpful especially Emma.
Could have done better with the breakfast. It was a bit generic. The room was expensive so I was expecting perhaps rolls, croissant from a local bakery rather than a Costco muffin and a cardboard waffle. Coffee was great though.
