loved the location -- it was perfect for where we needed to be and lots of nearby restaurant and shop options. loved the fun decor of the hotel and places to sit and relax, just a really comfortable vibe. everything was very clean. we thought the onsite breakfast option was too expensive but it wasn't a problem as you are within walking distance of a number of restaurants and coffee shops.

Great Location near the Farmers market.. staff very good. Although in a good location it is over priced for what it is.. motel style. Paying for parking ~ the hotel is expensive without having to pay extra for parking your car.

The location was great, the rooms, courtyard, foyer and surrounds were really nice. A lovely place to stay. The staff could lose the "I'm so cool" attitude. Having come from Texas they seemed a bit cold. The restaurant Tart was so average. The food was very bland and didn't keep up to it's lets be wacky and fun ideas when we decided to participate. If you have deals for dares you must specify for what meals these dares are for instead of letting people make fools of themselves for the sake participating. Very dissappointed....

The staff from driving into valet-throughout the stay was accommodating to special needs, friendly and warmly professional. A little too rustic for my personal tastes but the staff was so nice that our stay went very well.

Without a doubt, the location was the best! The staff were responsive and excellent to deal with! The complimentary wifi, cookies and pink lemonade were a nice touch! Although marketed as a "theme" destination, I was not prepared for the actual room resembling that of a VERY country location! The pillows were comfortable, the bed was not.

We total loved the location as our aim was to shop and relax. It is a central location and public transport is easily accesible if you need to travel further. So no real need to Hire a Car. The place is very quirky, very smart concept. The history of the building was very interesting. Loved the look of the hotel as it has been very beautifully decorated, as they've kept the original building and very smartly blended it with a modern touch, making it a very interesting place to stay at. As you go back in time and really get a glimpse of what is was like when it First opened. Just very thought out and different to anything we've ever stayed at. Special touches as you walk in like pink lemonade and choc chip cookies. The Tart restaurant is a real hit with the locals specially on the weekends for breakfast and did not fail its reputation as we ate there several times through the week. It was also lovely and quirky and the crowd was just as quirky. Loved it. Friendly staff all over. The only observation i would make is that the hotel was not full when we were there and therefore was quiet. However I dont think it would've been as quiet if it was full. So if noise is an issue for you (as it would be for me) ring and ask them if the hotel is full or ask for a top floor main building room with Windows facing the backstreets and not the hotel grounds.

Bed was comfortable. Plenty of bathroom towels. Parking fee is far expensive, especially when I also had to give some tip to the attendant. If I hadn't, I was afraid that he would have done some damage to my car. Also, the window curtain had a very thin texture, so the sunlight in the early morning woke me up. .

It is very difficult to choose a location in Los Angeles to suit everything you would like to do as a tourist as the city is so spread out and going anywhere requires a taxi (not cheap) or being part of an organised tour (not cheap). However, Farmer's Daughter Hotel is a good location for visiting Hollywood and Beverley Hills and there is a very interesting market across the road - the original part housing mainly food outlets and eateries and the newer section has very upmarket (and very expensive) stores. The hotel itself is actually an upscale motel, with upscale charges. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bedroom comfortable (albeit requiring a touch up of paint). The whole hotel is 'dressed' in farmer's style - the bedroom having a denim bed throw and paintings of farm animals and vegetables on the walls. The bathroom was perfectly adequate but had seen better days with some water seeping below the laminated flooring. The cost of items in the minibar were extortionate, as was the price of alcohol in the bar. We never ate at the restaurant as there was an excellent Italian restaurant (among others)across the road, but we would have considered breakfasting there had there been a better selection of lighter items on their brunch menu.

The room was cute and the location was good. Nice people at the desk and valet. The room smelled like mildew and had the worst shower I've taken since I hosed myself down in an East Berlin basement in 1992. The service at the restaurant was almost silly it was sooooo bad.

The location is amazing. As is ease of access from roadside to room. Valet parking is included in hotel room cost which is a real bonus. Super noisy - big problem for the business traveler trying to get some sleep. Rooms not particularly welcoming. And not 100% clean - there was someone else's half-eaten food in the fridge and half used shampoo in the shower.
