Great location. Very charming, updated hotel. Lots of cute details. Hotel staff and valet staff were very nice. Mostly quiet, not a lot of street noise where we were. A/C and wifi were good.
Valet parking is the only option, and it's expensive.
Poor wifi in room
Helpful staff Quirky room Good location
WiFi didn't work one morning for a short period of time
The staff at this hotel is amiable, helpful and goes above and beyond to accommodate you. Gabrielle, Robert and Steven were delightful! The ambiance of the hotel is youthful and eclectic with country kitsch touches everywhere, including the rubber duckies by the pool. The hotel's restaurant, Tart lures in a 20-40's crowd hipster crowd, which adds to the hotel's fun factor.
Proximity to The Grove/Farmers Market
The bed / pillows were too firm
Good value, nice staff and quirkey.
Location, decor, clean, comfortable. Great hotel with a very nice restaurant.
Location and character
Great vibe, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms simple, but very comfortable. Buzzy restaurant and bar. Kids loved the free cookies and crisps on reception and the free wifi in rooms. Would strongly recommend.
Pool a bit rubbish - too small to swim in or sunbathe around
Loved the store in the entry way, the chips during the day and the open lobby.
Staff wasn't trained or able to solve problems, generally speaking. Lost my packages. Room was chintzy and a poor value. Would never return for a business trip.
in comparison to other hotels in LA, Farmers Daughter is great value. it is a kitch boutique hotel, big rooms and bathroom. if you are do likes boutique hotel and not the typical hotels, this is great. plus the free cookies are bonus.
Quirky decor, great location near farmers market, the grove
Far too expensive. Too many extra taxes (leisure tax, parking tax, green tax). Shouldn't hv to pay $24 per night for parking. Staff not overly welcoming. Rooms need more thorough cleaning.
Location. Friendly staff. Free WiFi. Restaurant. Ping pong and foozball!
Hard bed. Overstuffed pillows. Television had a green line through it. Remote control kept malfunctioning. Sink had problems draining. Iron leaked
We normally stay at name brand hotels so I was a little nervous booking this hotel. I have to say we really enjoyed our stay and I would book this hotel again.
Loved being right across the street from the LA Farmers' Market. It was also a good home base location for other areas we wanted to visit.
The bathroom lighting could be better but that's about it!
location to the grove and restaurants and shopping.
Always made a regular room reservation in the main building but this time got put in the barn. Natural lighting poor as it is relatively dark. Made reservation in late May for end of July!
Everything was great- staff, room, Tarte breakfast, location, and parking! Great value and really nice staff. We will be back and will recommend to friends!
All was terrific.
But then they did block out the noise of flushing toilets, and showers.
Location is pretty good, reaching Farmer's Market & The Grove in few minutes though they are rather expensive locations for eating and shopping.
Room did not feel very clean and I believe to have been bitten by some bugs. Ice breaker outside the room created so much noise that it was impossible to sleep until we changed our room. Neighbor room arrived at 2am and we could not sleep until 4am because of the noise. Samewise, anyone using the bathroom created noise in our room. Parking is 24$ + tax which shall be provided to hotel guests at least with some discount. Pool at the hotel was so tiny that it is worthless to consider.
late fire alarm
NOT a hotel, but a refurbished motel (with all the limitations inherent to this configuration). Poor sound-proofing in room (both my wife and I had to use ear-plugs at night, a first in all our years of travelling). Very slow service in restaurant at breakfast. Overall: overpriced given what is on offer.
Rooms are very comfortable, staff is very friendly and location is very good.
valet is a bit too pricey
Top location, cool design and comfy room
Loved the style and rooms were perfect. Food great too.
