Loved the outdoor lobby, bar, and restaurant.
This isn't your cookie cutter hotel, so if that's what you're looking for, don't stay here. But if you're looking for somewhere with a good location (opposite the farmers market and buses to pretty much anywhere), a fun and friendly atmosphere, quirky decor and big comfy beds; then it's all at the farmers daughter.
The food at Tart was overpriced and bland. But there are plenty if other good options up the road.
Easy walk to shops and restaurants Friendly helpful staff
i loved everything about the Farmers Daughter. The location was superb, walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, comfortable and quite.
Heated Pool??? Don't understand that one. Was really high temps and would of been nice to cool down at the end of a day of shopping and site seeing.
Very convenient location. Close to Farmer's Market and shopping mall. Easy to find good food!
Hotel is a little bit old.
A bargain in LA. Staff wonderful, rooms good size, beds comfy, air con great, restaurant good. Just over the road from awesome farmers market and the Grove. If your not stuck up you'll love this place.
The place was really cool, really liked the character of the hotel. Staff was nice and the rooms well maintained. We were very happy with our choice to stay there. The Farmers market and the grove opposite the hotel were awesome.
Valet parking but I guess most Europeans don't like this.. Also they failed to notify me that when paying with a debit card they would place the full amount on hold kinda like a guarantee and release it max 10 days after check out.. so for a period of 10 days after check out it was like I had double paid, which was a bit inconvenient to discover that even though I had paid at check out that the same amount was still being held by the bank a week after I checked out and had paid..the hotel was very nice and offered to call the bank to have them release the money earlier.. in the US I recommend paying by credit card to avoid any hassle the concept of a debit card seemed quite foreign in the U.S.
My wife and I stayed at the Farmer's Daughter for the second time and we really enjoyed our stay again. It's the best place to stay in LA!
Very nice hotel. Great location!
The location close to Farmer's Market and the La Brea Tar Pits is great.
The loud music in the lobby and the restaurant. We chose not to eat at the hotel because of the load music.
Location and friendly approach by staff
Lack of fitness room and the pool was grungy
Open air, friendly staff, causal, laid back environment.
Limited food selection on site
We went to The Price is Right show and it was right across the street. No driving. Also liked the Market to walk around. The Du Pera restaurant had very good food and found a place with gluten free pizza.
Paying for parking was a surprise. The on sight restaurant had a very young clientell on the weekend. Need something for us old foggies.
I dug that the hotel had the luxuries of a full service hotel like a restaurant, boutique shop and valet. The price and the location were also just right.
Valet is the only option for parking which comes with a fee. The bathroom was a bit dated and had a very motel feel.
Very friendly staff ..needed more area info for restaurants close by Lovely housekeeping staff who were so polite On site restaurant helpful with great outdoor eating areas Location is great. I can scooter over to farmers market Fairly close to LAX Use of computer was wonderful when my cell phone broke Comfy bed with lots of pillows Fair room rate for location Refrig in room..and coffee tea pot Larger bathroom with good safe shower features..power shower!
No comfy chair in handicap room Need microwave in handicap room Need large cups/glasses in room No easy access to plugs.too low No restaurant take out menus or Close by restaurants in room. No on site restaurant menu in room On site restaurant limited affordable dishes Room info directory had many errors such as food delivery charges High daily parking fee for guests
Great location, breakfast at the Farmers Market, friendly staff, cute little pool, nice design details, big comfy bed. Cookies.
Lacking some things like band aids, microwave, referral services ( babysitters) you'd find in a chain hotel. More than makes up for it in other ways.
Nice location. Cookies! Clean common areas. Great staff.
Just a motel with a quirky farm facade. Busy street outside. Parking was extra and no self park. Bathroom shower should be remodeled/updated.
location friendly & helpful staff fun decor
The Farmers Daughter was in a great location with the Farmers Market and The Grove just opposite. Great room will comfy bed and all usual commodities. Loved the extra touches that made the hotel special, freshly baked cookies in the evening and kettle chips through the day in reception. Would definitely stay here again on future trips an recommend to everyone going to LA
Great location. Very charming, updated hotel. Lots of cute details. Hotel staff and valet staff were very nice. Mostly quiet, not a lot of street noise where we were. A/C and wifi were good.
Valet parking is the only option, and it's expensive.
Poor wifi in room
Helpful staff Quirky room Good location
WiFi didn't work one morning for a short period of time
The staff at this hotel is amiable, helpful and goes above and beyond to accommodate you. Gabrielle, Robert and Steven were delightful! The ambiance of the hotel is youthful and eclectic with country kitsch touches everywhere, including the rubber duckies by the pool. The hotel's restaurant, Tart lures in a 20-40's crowd hipster crowd, which adds to the hotel's fun factor.
Proximity to The Grove/Farmers Market
The bed / pillows were too firm
Good value, nice staff and quirkey.
