Good staff and upbeat people, from the parking attendants to room service.
Service at Tart, the onsite restaurant, is slow.
Lots of people having a good time at Tart!
Almost $500 for 2 nights and parking! Not a deluxe hotel.
Location to Farmer's Market
Noise level No bath
Top quality staff. Lovely setting, quainty cozy room. I shall return and suggest it to others.
That it ended all too soon. And I have wasted many vacations not staying at this lovely venue.
The location was convenient. The outdoor patio was pleasant for breakfast. We didn't spend much time there as we were visiting friends who picked us up each day.
We love the location of the Farmer's Daughter, and have stayed here numerous times. The staff is always very nice and accommodating.
We have stayed here about a half dozen times, but it is our first stay in a room on the far side of the property. These are noisier and not as nice.
This hotel is fantastic. The location is absolutely perfect: we did the Hollywood Blvd, Getty Observatory, Runyon Canyon, Santa Monica + Venice Beach, Laugh Factory for a show and even ventured into Mar Vista for some fantastic ramen at Santouka and never spent more than 45 minutes driving (all the Hollywood stuff was 10-30 minutes). You also have a fantastic farmers market, trader joes, whole foods, 24 hour cvs, and luxury stores just steps away. The staff is SUPER friendly--like everyone. The maids, the front desk people, the valet. We accidentally left the "do not need cleaning services today" for the day and the staff called our room twice when we returned asking if we wanted services before the maids left at 6:00pm. The valet always brought out cars out promptly and were super friendly. You even got free drink tickets for cocktails for one evening as well as free cookies at the front desk. The hotel was clean and welcoming....I really don't have any complaints. For the price we got as well this was a total steal. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting LA.
Valet parking is required if you have a car--no self parking...kinda pricey--you could probably Uber/Lyft anywhere you want to go so I would do a cost/benefit analysis and consider the # of people in your party (the more people, the more likely it makes sense for you to skip the car).
The location !!
Location was fabulous to the Grove the places to eat. The staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with.
There was no kettle and the rooms were very dark. Lighting not very good. The wi-fi you have to relogin every day which was a major pain. Everytime I left the hotel and came back had to relogin.
Cleanliness and their restaurant food was fresh.
The location is great, across the street from Farmer's Market and CBS.
You could hear everything in other rooms, people walking, showers, toilets, it was terrible!
great location, happy staff..
The room was great and you can't beat the location.
Parking was expensive. Some of the guests were a little noisey.
We were right in the center of everything. The hotel had activities and a wonderful restaurant as well.
Street noise and thin walls was the only downside.
The green environment of the hotel. Central location and availability to where I wanted to be. The discount offer to Tart restaurant for choosing not to access the room service.
First night was great, second night really noisy and inconsideration neighbors, arriving at their room at 2.00am and constantly banging, thumping and flushing the toilet for the next few hours until I checked out
I really liked the fact that this was cross the street from CBS studios since we were attending the Price is Right Show in February. It is also close to restaurants, shopping and not too far from the airport. I would stay there again. My Mother and I enjoyed walking from the hotel to Swinger's Diner, Veggie Grill, and Toast Bakery.
It would be great if there were some upgrades to the hotel room sink and bath tub. They appeared to be a little old and dirty looking. The only other minor thing was was in the business center. The web browsers (Internet explorer and Firefox) were all outdated and when I tried to upgrade them the front desk didn't have the admin passwords to allow the upgrade. Since there was no upgrade I wasn't able to print some travel documents nor could I access my email via iCloud.
Where I do I start! I loved that you could see the glass walls to see someone shower. Also amazing, the art book, birds nest box,Whiskey hour and Tarte. I didn't get to try the heated pool. It looked lovely so I'll have to come back.
I could hear everyone in the halls.
The best location. There is many famous market (the grove mall, farmers market, Whole food mall ect) near by the hotel. And the hotel located at safe place.
Front desk staff EXTREMELY helpful. We were attending a Price is Right filming, and this was perfect.
Great location, opposite the many stalls and shops at the Farmers Market.
Older building was a little bit run down, too much like an old motel for the price...
The location to the Grove with an easy walk to shopping, restaurants and activities can't be beat. Also, TART serves simply phenomenal food! Staff are gracious, personable and attentive.
Wi-Fi could be slow at times. And the rustic charm of the rooms doesn't measure up to the rest of the hotel.
Close to the grove and restaurants in the middle of everything!
Pricey expected more
I tried to get a refund because at the last minute a member of our party was unable to make the trip--he was in the hospital--long story short, because he wasn't joining us we really didn't need the room. Booking.com said the property wouldnt ok a refund and the property said booking.com wouldn't ok a refund. The property did offer to let us reschedule--but we would have to specify another date, which we couldn't do. In the end, it wasn't a big deal because the whole hotel experience was great and I wish we could've stayed longer.
Cable TV did not include CBS.
