We arrived early and as they had a room we could check in - freshen up - park our car - walk most places we wanted to go. We were going to go out for dinner but instead had early snacks during happy hour at the bar - tried lots of yummies - dates wrapped in smoky bacon was a winner. Bar staff were really helpful with directions. advise etc - fun!
it was a bit expensive - more than we would normally pay - so we only stayed one night and tried to do everything in a short time. Would stay again soon if they had a special deal on within the next 4 weeks!!
Felt safe. Could walk to shopping. Friendly staff. Wonderful clean room food was good in restaurant
The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. Proximity to the city and river was perfect.
The air conditioning was not yet turned on and the room was warmer than desired.
It was a nice, quiet stay. The housekeepers were almost "invisible", and were very kind. The room was clean (King room with city view).
Didn't run into any significant cons.
Best part of the hotel is the staff. They were extremely accomodating and friendly.
Location was not the greatest. In the evenings homeless people sleep on benches across the street and do come around the hotel asking for a smoke and money. The beds/pillows were not comfortable and the 4th floor smelled musty.
Quiet, good breakfast, good location if your passing through Portland.
Why you have two seperated comforters for king bed?
Location, close to downtown. Friendly, helpful staff. The bed was very comfortable and cozy.
Clean room and free wifi
It was too noisy outside from 12am to to 2am. I could not sleep well
The only problem we had was the air conditioning did not work very well but luckily it was cool enough outside so we just opened our window's.
My girlfriend and I had a great time with this hotel. We had read reviews saying the restaurant service was slow and it was difficult to sleep because of the noise from traffic. Our dinner at the restaurant was great along with the service and there was noise from the traffic but it was faint and was easy to drown out. No sleep was lost.
I did not like that we weren't able to get a bicycle our entire stay. I was told some were in need of repair and couldn't be checked out.
Great location, easy access to everything Portland has to offer
nicely located hotel. everything is in walking distance. super comfortable bed. free wifi. free bike rental at the hotel.
Attention to small details, provided umbrella, ear plugs, nice comfy robes and universal plug-in "station". The room was a nice comfortable size. We asked for a quiet room on the higher floor and they gave us exactly what was requested. The location was great with easy access to everywhere downtown.
We had a bit of difficulty keeping water from splashing onto the bathroom floor due to side open slot and no shower door. The heating system was noisy and sometimes will not stop running if it reached the desire temperature.
Everything. Especially the pinapple cupcakes every afternoon:-)
The hotel is located across the street from the river, making it easy to walk the dog if you are travelling with one. You can park your car and walk to just about anything in downtown portland. The staff is very friendly and a good bar in the lobby. Modern rooms with very comfortable beds.
Staff was helpful and cheerful
Room was a little small, no real sitting area to play cards for instance. Also, it was warm, even with the heat turned down
Fantastic hotel with great staff. They went out of their way to be accommodating even thought we were there for just a night. Highly recommended.
Personable and helpful staff
The location was perfect. Waterfront on one side, downtown on the other. I liked that they gave you ear plugs I loved the Porcini Fries! LOVED the parking..
Not much!: Would have liked better pillows (but everyone is different here) Wait to checkin. We got there at 4:00, but had to wait an hour... (but that's when I got those awesome fries).
1) Location 2) Cheap garage parking (15$ a day) 3) Helpfull staff 4) clean room & bathroom
1) Initially we booked and moved into a king room with a view (facing the Morrison and bridge). After first night it became clear that noise is too load and it's impossible to sleep even with earplugs (they provide). So we had to move to a room facing the wall, which was a bit quieter but still we could hear all noises. At checkout it appeared they didn't give us a discount for that we lived in a room without a view, and we had to pay full price.
A bit spendy for just one night I'd say
Check in was easy and everyone was very friendly. Hotel room was really nice and clean. The bathroom door situation was a bit strange and so was showering and no shower door, but i guess its a contemporary hotel, so it goes well. Fun experience overall.
The train was a but noisy,(though they provided ear plugs, thanks!) but besides that nothing bad
Location was ideal for walking to key shopping and restaurants. Light rail available within steps to get to other locations like the pearl district and zoo. The new hotel restaurant has great food and service at reasonable prices. Lived up to the meaning of pineapple hospitality!
Cruiser bikes available for free. Complimentary coffee and water. Very friendly staff.
