I picked the hotel for its central location for ease to get around the city. It's staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no desk in my room and had to work off my bed which was not too easy.

The room was nice. It was very small, but it was nice overall. The bathroom looked great, and the shower worked very well. The location seemed very sketchy, but I had no problems with anyone. There is no hotel lobby, but most of the people at the front desk were nice. The room was very small but was nice overall. The "free breakfast" is a joke: it involves random packages of bread products with huge jars of peanut butter and cream cheese. The fruit tasted fine, but there is no way to know how fresh it is. There is a Subway around the corner; I would go there for breakfast.

Small wine bar at the back of the lobby is a cozy place to have a beer or a glass of wine before heading up to your room. The hotel is also very convenient to Union Square shopping, Market Street, cable car and Chinatown. The room was tiny. The bathroom was tiny. The hotel is funky, the furnishings quirky. The room was too small for two adults. Would only stay here again if I travelled alone.

Location No washcloths told to use a hand towel, the rooms are not as described they are for the most part very small only a few rooms are large, I've tried all the rooms and will never go back. I was promised a large queen and given a small one and told if I didn't like it could go someplace else and I will next time, when I finally got moved to a larger room the T.V. didn't work. Other than a good location that is it's only draw...180 Sq. Ft double Ha,ha...I Never saw that only enough room for 2 double beds and a night stand. Don't go there

good location The worst hotel I've ever been. Rooms the size of a prison cell. Old, worn, very expensive in relation to compensation. If you hate someone had recommended this hotel.

Extremely over priced for what we got. I could have stayed at the Hilton Hotel and got a full suite for the same price.

i loved everything about the Fitzgerald. its proximity to everything, the staff you have there, all of them, are fantastic. tripping over themselves to help. Be proud of this venue, i would stay there again. i loved the old worldiness of it, and they way you have restored it. the free wifi, i always felt safe, perhaps you could provide cereal at bfast is my only comment.

The Fitzgerald is a very nice and welcoming hotel right in the centre (Union Square!) of San Francisco. A chilled lounge area and on site wine bar were awesome, the breakfast was perfect and the staff were great. I'll stay here next time I come to SF for sure! It's just steps away from everything I needed and just a ten minute walk down to the Moscone Convention Centre. Everything was good!

I like the lcation, three blocks from Union Square, close to malls, big stores, fine restaurants and turist facilities. The room decoration was ok. The room had a very small closet, no chest or desk with drawers. The bathroom was too small and kind of uncomfortable.

Price/quality ratio was resasonable at my rate ( advanced purchase with 24 h free cancellation), location seems good, although I would not recommend the hotel for business travellers as one cannot work in the room (no desks although WIFI), and all rooms of a reasonable size are exposed right to a very noisy street and noise isolation ( windows, walls) is not good enough. My room had a reasonale size but singles are too (VERY) small. No desk to work in the room ( although WIFI), even no space to put laptop on. Very noisy street especially by weekends and Fridays. No tea set at all.

It was a cool, older hotel on a bustling street. There was lots going on in the neighbourhood. The window in my room opened up onto a fire escape so I could sit outside at the end of the day and watch the street and read a book. It was nice. The room was a bit small and the furniture was pretty outdated, but it wasn't too bad.
