Noisy, Old facility, Poor WIFI access, Not Clean etc.
Only a short walk from Union Square, the centre of San Francisco, this hotel features period fittings, hallway chandeliers with all the modern comforts.
Noisy. Room facing road.
Location, vintage look.
Pillows were worn out, mattress had a sink hole in center. Not comfy
very comfortable room
funky old lift...
very clean, location
rooms too small, limited breakfast options
Breakfast & dust
nice wine bar in lobby
some rooms are small
Location is good
The staff does not help the guests in anything. It seens like they are doing a favor to the guest when you request something. When I checked out and ask for a help with a taxi, they just told me to go out and call a taxi by myself.
Near to dawn town and to moscone centre
No A/C in room very old fortunre noice from out side very expensive compare with its utitilies
Great manager and staff
Bed not very comfortable
Breakfast was okay. very good location, close to the union square and secure
the elevator next to my room was very loud, A/C did not work, bed was very short, too short for someone who is 1.78 cm.
Perfect location, breakfast was good and beds were comfy, great hotel
- staff was helpful - room was clean & cleaned again
- the room was quite warm. Opening the window didn't help much and let the noise from the inner courtyard in. - breakfast was unlovingly arranged still packed toast & bagels, honey, jam, without any cheese, ham and tea.
location price clean
Decoration of room, comfy bed, warm, free WiFi.
No desk in room, WiFi too slow for video, somewhat expensive though most SF hotels were at this time.
Location is very good for AGU meeting. The room is comfortable. The breakfast, though simple, is very healthy with a lot of fruit. The staff is very nice and helpful
The price is high. Maybe I will book it earlier next time.
Great location! Couldn't find any other room-city was very busy that weekend. Price was way high for the room but I was glad to be so near to Union Square and the stores. I think I lived at this location about 48 years ago-it was the Post Residence Club-brought back many great memories.
Room was very small-view was of a wall. No fresh air. Small bed. It was called a petite room and petite it was-barely any room for anything other than the bed.
I was going to say staff, until I'd been there a day. Check in staff was great and at least tried to be helpful. On the second afternoon at 3:30 came back to find room still not made up. On final day came back about 1:00 (I had arranged for late check out), was greeted by name by desk staff and when I got up to my room found I had been locked out! Had to go back to desk (down the horrible elevator) to ask for a new key to get in. I had been locked out because I came back more than an hour past the check out time of Noon. Clerk argued with me about the late check out and was very rude but my biggest complaint was why did he let me go all the way upstairs to find a locked door!
Everything! Bed was hard and uncomfortable; no place to sit in room; VERY noisy water pipes (sounded like a waterfall next to my head everytime someone used the water next door); VERY loud and small elevator that closed on your arm whenever you got in (a double door system, have to open outside door, brace that with your arm and pull heavy grate back and try to get in before one or both slam on you); no ice bucket in room; no way to turn off blinking message light on phone; TV didn't work when I first arrived and had to wait several hours for someone to come fix it; terrible water pressure; "conditioning" shampoo left my hair like straw; no way to set time on clock (previous guests must have had the same problem since it was blinking the incorrect time); couldn't close bathroom window; very stuffy room but couldn't reach cord for ceiling fan. My back is still killing me and I have a bruise on my arm where the elevator door hit me as I struggled to get my suitcase into the elevator with no way to brace the door.
Motel, very small; breakfast is not good
check out person was helpful
breakfast was not very good. check in person was not pleasant. The on-line change in reservation was not updated by the hotel.
The hotel is well located.
Bad reviews of this place must be from nit pickers. I had a wonderful experience. I would stay here again for sure.
Not really anything bad. If i really must complain. I guess i could say, i could have had some cereal at breakfast. Thats it.
Bed was good Clean room Staff was friendly and helpful when needed Breakfast was as expected
Location is at the limit in between the good streets and the "not so good" ones. A lot of homeless people around The staff doesn't check if you are staying there or not whenever you arrive.
