Small room but fairly clean,no air conditioning. Lousy breakfast
No drawers in room. TV too small!
Reasonably priced. Had to park a couple of blocks away buy not expensive considering it's San Francisco. Close to Union Square and shopping. Room was comfortable and quite. Decor was lovely.
Valet parking would be nice especially for older people. No cable Tv.
ROOM TOO SMALL
Excellent location Cleanliness Refrigerator and micro-wave in room. Courteous staff
Extremely small rooms No Air conditioning High price ascompare to facilities
The breakfast was a little too basic.
The staff was nice.
No AC. Elevator broke 2 days out of the 6 I was there. I was on the 6th floor. My foot had swollen from walking around SF.
Location was good..staff was friendly
room was tiny, no AC and very hot all nite, noisy water pipes kept us awake most of the nite...only 1 elevator
Very close to union square and trams. Quick train ride from airport and walkable distance to hotel. Recommend biking over Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. Pick up bike from fishermans wharf, bike over and ferry back. Awesome!
Room quite small but clean and perfectly adequate.
We found the location excellent, close to union square, the BART, and cable car, and if your reasonably fit walk to Fishermans Wharf. Room was clean, bed comfortable, close to good cafes and restaurants that we found by asking passers by!
The hotel is old and its lift was reflective of its ear small and slow. In our short 24hour stay there were many changes of staff most of which were not that bothered - a shame.
Close to main centre but not on union square.
Extremely noisy. Had to put myself to sleep through medication to shut the noise out from the street. There is no ventilation in the room - open the window and you won't sleep even on medication from the noise. Breakfast is very poor. Cleanliness - yeh bathroom towels right up against toilet. Good hygiene - NOT! Overpriced for what you get definitely.
So not stay here. Our room was vile
Bed was comfortable
Shampoos were less
The location to union square was the best thing going for this hotel. The bed was okay.
The room was way too cramped. No air conditioner, so we had to open the windows. The curtains couldn't be adjusted. The place was way too noisy to sleep.
It just felt germy
Close to city
Lack of parking, uneducated staff.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was good. The hotel is near some good restaurants bars and diners and great location for wandering around or catching trams and trolley buses. Breakfast was not elaborate but was totally adequate.
Authentic Victorian style.
Small room and very soft bed
Liked that it had a private bathroom. Many of the cheaper hotels have community baths. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean. Also had a fan in the room.
The AC was broken but it does get cool in the bay area. The TV remote also didn't work. The continental breakfast was ok, not the most hygienic setup though.
This was exactly what I was looking for. Someplace that I could crash at the end of the day. Small room with a few amenities. It's definitely older, but for the most part clean. Key card on the exterior door was nice so I knew I could get in at any hour. (The latest I got in was 10ish and there was always someone at the front desk. I found the morning staff to be much more helpful than the guy who works the desk in the evening.
The elevator was broken on my last day, which wasn't a huge deal for me, but I could see it being a burden if you had a lot of luggage and were checking into the 5th floor. The plumbing of other rooms was particularly loud in my room, but it wasn't a really big deal.
my wife was injured by an iron piece sticking from bed ..
