I needed decent ensuite facilities at a central location at an affordable price for a single person, and this did the job. Room was small but quite adequate for a single night stay. Inclusive breakfast was also a bonus.
Loved the location in San Francisco; it made getting out to explore and getting back the hotel very simple.
The wifi connection was free, but unfortunately not available the days we were there.
Tiny Room Some people broke the window of my car and stole my luggages (My car was parked just in front of the hotel)
I booked last minute & paid $87 for a room with a double size bed, the room was very small but since we were only sleeping & getting dressed in it we didn't mind. The room was clean but you can tell its old but again that's to be expected in this area. There is an overnight parking garage about a block away for $16 at for area hotel guests.
one thing was the bathroom window didn't lock so we put a stick in the window just in case.
-Great location and very strategic for my business activities -The availability of breakfast -The availability of maps and information in the receptionist desk
-Elevator doors are hard to handle by one person when you are carrying bags and luggage -The room I stayed needs a thorough vacuum cleaning. I saw some scattered small debris on the carpet
The elevator :)
Breakfast. Only stuff full of sugar. No meat, eggs, etc.
Hotel is too old Bed is uncomfortable
We had no kitchen so no opinion re that. Microwave worked. I liked the charm of the building - Edwardian design & the decor to echo that. Elevator was a hoot - one wanted to "announce" the floors. Location was fine - access to cabs, bars, restaurants, not far from bus service. Staff were pleasant & helpful. The house bar nice, breakfast adequate. I would stay again.
Not a complaint, rather an opinion: There was street noise; which I expected. Being on 3rd floor lessened it. Perhaps at the back would be better.
Noisy, Old facility, Poor WIFI access, Not Clean etc.
Only a short walk from Union Square, the centre of San Francisco, this hotel features period fittings, hallway chandeliers with all the modern comforts.
Noisy. Room facing road.
Location, vintage look.
Pillows were worn out, mattress had a sink hole in center. Not comfy
very comfortable room
funky old lift...
very clean, location
rooms too small, limited breakfast options
Breakfast & dust
nice wine bar in lobby
some rooms are small
Location is good
The staff does not help the guests in anything. It seens like they are doing a favor to the guest when you request something. When I checked out and ask for a help with a taxi, they just told me to go out and call a taxi by myself.
Near to dawn town and to moscone centre
No A/C in room very old fortunre noice from out side very expensive compare with its utitilies
Great manager and staff
Bed not very comfortable
Breakfast was okay. very good location, close to the union square and secure
the elevator next to my room was very loud, A/C did not work, bed was very short, too short for someone who is 1.78 cm.
Perfect location, breakfast was good and beds were comfy, great hotel
- staff was helpful - room was clean & cleaned again
- the room was quite warm. Opening the window didn't help much and let the noise from the inner courtyard in. - breakfast was unlovingly arranged still packed toast & bagels, honey, jam, without any cheese, ham and tea.
location price clean
Decoration of room, comfy bed, warm, free WiFi.
No desk in room, WiFi too slow for video, somewhat expensive though most SF hotels were at this time.
