Fitzpatrick Grand Central  

Very clean and tidy Hotel in an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We have stayed at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central before and would definately stay there again. It's good value for money for a New York hotel, especially concidering it's location. We had absolutely no complaints at all.

Pleasant efficient staff, small but cozy room with operating windows for fresh air. Clean and well maintained hotel with a nice Irish themed (what else?) bar and restaurant. We had a meal there and the food was ok. Bar has an outdoor covered/heated patio with a smoking section which I appreciated. Concierge was friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff was invisible and no bother I.E. did not wake me up early to clean room etc. Overall pleasant stay and would definitely stay again.

Location, comfort - reasonably spacious and quiet room with very comfortable bed.

This was our 4th stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central. We always find that the rooms, hallways, and lobby are clean and well maintained. It's location next to Grand Central is a tremendous advantage for us.

Vent in bathroom was noisy (mgt. Said that it could have been adjusted but we didn't know that at the time!)

Internetconnection needs to be purchesed at at&t separately. Connection with problems and not flexible - can be used only for one item, means if you use 2 PCs you had to pay twice.

To my pleasant surprise, upon late arrival for my first ever stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central Hotel, I was greeted by name without first introducing myself; something that's never occurred at any other hotel upon my first stay, or second for that matter. The room accommodations were immaculate, luxuriously appointed and QUIET...a tall order for any hotel room in Manhattan. The Customer Service Representatives went above and beyond without question to accommodate my late-night requests. I will stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel once before, and liked it. However, this time, I was really disgusted. The hotel was fully booked, which is great for the hotel, but the staff where not very friendly to us, maybe because it was so busy for them. It cost $ 600 for 2 small rooms on the 8 th floor (no breakfast included), and it cost $150 for 2 fish and chips and 2 curry and chips and 4 drinks. There were no prices on the menu, if I had of known that it was that outrageous we would have gon elsewhere. Ive Ives and worked in the restaurant industry in nyc for ten yrs. The fish and chips came with 3 tiny pieces of doughy frozen fish, and the curry came with big nasty chunks of chicken with the odd piece of apple floating in it. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. It was loud and overpriced. I felt like we got completely robbed. Go elsewhere. And I'm Irish!
