Pretty much everything, friendly helpful staff, cosy Irish bar, comfortable room, excellent location for midtown manhattan and grand central, a lot of sights within walking distance. Nothing really but if you want a room with a view this isn't the hotel for view.

The room was a good size for NYC. Hotel was a block from Grand Central Terminal, super for subway and subway shuttle to Times Square! The restautant on site was nice, good food, out door seating. Because it was on 44th, and blocked by the terminal, the street was REALLY quiet. Toiletries and hair dryer and iron all good, no need to pack yours! Had a view a building. No hair conditioner in the room, if you need it.

Location great. Next to gcs and in the middle of everything. The staff were incredibly rude. The young girls were ok, they passed a basic minimum in standard politeness, but one duty manager in particular just answered questions as if I was stupid - q: "How do I retrieve a saved movie?" a: "Well have you tried looking for it?" - you know, I paid top dollar for this stay and I've been treated better at a roadside motel! I won't stay here again. I'm Irish and I expected better from an Irish owned hotel on St Patrick's weekend.

The staff was very friendly upon check-in and the conciere was very helpful when providing me with details regarding the Broadway and off Broadway shows. The noise level in the bar. I travel alone all of the time and I'm female. I always sit at the bar so that I can feel like I'm among people and not so alone. There was one seat and the bar was so very noisy.

Great location. Atmospheric bar/pub (only tried for breakfast). For a small hotel, little human warmth at the front desk. Tiny rooms with generic decor. Chinese licensed toiletries. Other hotels in the neighborhood run circles around them. This is not the Irish hospitality I expected.

We enjoyed our stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand. The location is great for shopping and theater. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout the weekend. Enjoy drinks at the Wheeltapper! Eat somewhere else.

I can't say enough about your hotel. I have been there with my husband and other weekends with friends. And this past weekend with my mother for her birthday. You upgraded my room into a beautiful suite. It was an awesome surprise. My mother had never spent a night in NYC and your hotel is so personal. She was wished a happy birthday by the same woman who checked us in :) perfect !!! Absolutely nothing The room. The staff. The outdoor area and the lunch next door. It's all perfect. I will be back with my husband for our anniversary in April and my sister in may :)

Friendly staff, decent size room for New York City, excellent location. Good value for the money. Room heating is old fashioned and one is not able to control the temperature. It is either hot or very hot, those are the only options. Plus the heater is very noisy. Keep in mind there were record low temperatures in NY during my visit and heating was essential.

Location, cleanliness, very quiet. Extremely cramped room. Space only for carry-on type bags. Don't bring suitcases or plan to stay more than one night. This was a room with a king bed. Extremely put off by comment "if you've ever stayed in a hotel before..." by male at check in desk during discussion of confusion regarding kind of room booked. Yes, direct quote; do you think that's forgettable? I noted I had phoned the hotel after booking to confirm it and other things, but it still caused debate. I accepted the challenge. Heck of a way to be welcomed. I've traveled extensively--to all 7 continents (in nyc for business meeting at UN)--and I never before encountered such arrogance and impudence from a representative of a hotel with any number of stars. And this one has five??

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I had mentioned that it was my fiances birthday and that we were also celebrating our engagement. They arranged for us to stay in the Seamus Heaney suite. They also had champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries in our room upon arrival. Such a lovely surprise!! Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. It was nice to stay here at the end of our trip and hear some Irish voices and friendly faces. The staff gave us great recommendations for going out in the meat packing district, .Area very safe. We would definetly stay here again should we be lucky to return to New York. Free wifi would have been great

The hotel is in a great location easy to get to all the main attractions. The staff were very friendly they couldn't do enough. We ate in the restaurant once at night and had breakfast there every morning which was excellent. The only thing I would of liked was to have had breakfast included in the price for how much I paid it should of been included. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever stayed in and the rooms were very clean & nicely decorated. I would recommend the hotel to anyone going to New York and I would deffinately stay there again. Nothing at all..,,,

Traveled to NYC for a few days of shopping and checking out the sights. The hotel was a block away from Grand Central Station, easy to catch a subway to all the sites we wanted to see. Also, being on 42nd street we were within walking distance to Time Square. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a very comfortable bed. Would definately stay there again.

I have stayed several times and find the property very comfortable and convenient. We were on the 44th St side of the building and it was extremely noisy in the morning due to garbage trucks.
