ice machine was not working upon check in
breakfast not available on weekdays, the breakfast for weekend was not a continental dish.
there was garage in pail under sink
The location was ok. A good resteraunt next door.Nice frig. And microwave in room.
Couldn't see driveway because there were no lights on near road. Had to ring bell several times to get anyone at desk. It said that there was continental breakfast but when I called from room to see when , someone kept hanging up on me , then finally when I yelled at him , he said it would not be until 8:30 and then it never did happen both days! Electric plugs very loose in wall. Had a very hard time taking a shower because faucet handles would not move. Husband finally took pliers from car to get it to move. Edges of room had not been cleaned in a long time.Only dead bolt lock worked. Other lock was broken. No phone book, no ads for local food, ect., Not even a paper for channels for tv.
The area and the property was safe
They didn't have a drop box with a lock for the keys ;leaving the keys at the end the stay exposed can cause exposure for someone to go in the rooms and perhap cause vandalism
Nothing everything was horrible
tv, bathroom, price, location.
Room beyond being tired, it's exhausted!
Location TV service Bed & pillows
Noise outside at night. Light coming into room at night-not blocked out by curtains. Bathroom door was destroyed. Never received wakeup call we asked for.Person who checked us in had stained clothes on. Place looked run down in general.
There was hair in the shower and the beds were uncomfortable. Could use some modernization. Charged me extra for not checking in at the hotel before 8pm.
It was cleaner than it appeared.
Old and run down needs a lot of work to upgrade, especially in building we were in. Did not like blind doorways.
Location was good; easy access to places we wanted to see.
Room was cramped, dated and dingy. They need to spend some money and do some "cosmetic" up keep on rooms. They are not inviting.
Cleanliness, perfectly adequate facilities
smoke detector in room broke, walls dirty breakfast was in a little room in the office that maybe two people could fit in. When they say breakfast included its a joke.
Price, but will know better next time, since ti will be worth the extra
Deep holes from parking to room. To get to a store they had a makeshift bridge over a brook, and almost fell in. Don't bother with breakfast.
we first checked in and upon entering the room saw the picture was falling off the wall, holes in the walls, sink area was dirty, floors need to be torn up there were burn marks and stains everywhere, room smelled like mildew and the staff was not customer friendly. my husband called the desk to ask for the wifi password and they gave it to him real fast and hung up on him. they called the room and told us that if we or anyone we had with us had a car parked out back it would be towed after my husband specifically told them it was not our vehicle. we were only there because we were visiting family for a gathering and meeting of new family members. i found the staff to be rude and unprofessional it made it seem as if they were used to riff raff clientel the way they treated myself and my husband. when my husband went to the front desk to ask for a plate and a spoon for me they gave him a hard time about it and they had the stuff right there at the counter, the man at the desk told him it was for breakfast but let me mention when i woke up the day before i called the front and asked when breakfast would be over and the man told me "NO BREAKFAST" in a loud and mean manner. so why was it a big deal about the plate and spoon? We will NEVER stay at this hotel again.
- cheap nightly rate - bed was clean - decent location - close to dunkins, restaurants, 10 mi from Mohegan Sun/Foxwoods
- overall room could have been a bit more clean - vacuum/dust - a TV and furniture a little outdated
It was a cheap motel and had a comfy bed.
Moldy bathroom and some lights didn't work. After airing the room out for a day it was nice. Also, they advertise a contentental breakfast but do not offer it.
Microwave broken. Ice depended should be closer to rooms
Musty smell in room. Tiles falling in bathroom. No closet. No breakfast as advertised. Toilet difficult to flush.
The website states the hotel is 8.5 miles from Mohegan Sun, in actuality it's over 15 miles ( best route )and when I mentioned this at check in I was answered with at least 3 additional incorrect responses such as " there are several possible routes" and " you must have read it wrong". I chose the hotel based in its proximity to mohegan sun and feel as though being off by almost half the distance is false advertising
EASE OF LOCATION, FULL KITCHEN, PROXIMITY TO SHOPPING AND FOOD, VALUE
Didn't like anything.
Front desk was rude, wifi wasn't connecting and when I asked why his reply was " I don't know". Carpets were stained, ceiling had leaks. Room smelled, bed covers were old and dirty.
price was lower than others around, convenient commute to casino, cabela's & mystic shops
staff not very friendly/outgoing, room carpet was not installed well/raw edges at wall of room
Clean facilities, helpful staff, easily the most reasonably priced hotel; note - they do not have separate dining facilities, just a shelf with the free breakfast of coffee, bagels, cereals, milk
Paper thin floors, so guests above can keep you awake; there was a mysterious drone right thru the night that added to the orchestra (maybe guests next door kept the bathroom exhaust on all night).
