Noise from trains Room not maintained Broken curtains Bugs on floor
front desk staff
Old and needs updated. Very noisy. Floors squeak Did not eat breakfast. The price was expensive for the quality. We were going to spend 3 nights and only spent one
location easy to find
maintenance of room
Staff were very helpful.
We had bed bugs in our 1st room. We were changed with no problem, & no bugs in 2nd.
The price was terrific. The location was super convenient. The staff was friendly. The lobby is obviously the first part of the remodel that is complete. Although we didn't have a chance to participate in the breakfast bar and happy hour, other guests seemed to enjoy them.
The bed was sooooooo umcomfortable. The mattress was too soft and very lumpy. All of the electrical appliances were unplugged - very inconvenient to have to crawl around to plug in the alarm clock. Good thing we did though, as our wake up call never ocurred.
Friendly staff, great breakfast
Comfortable beds, good location, decent sleep, adequate breakfast
Room was slightly tattered. Two lamps didn't work. Air conditioning was difficult to get going but eventually worked.
The spa tub. Nice view.
The holes in the walls. The mattress was too firm.
The age of the building. The remodel that was done was not very nice. The Social hour could be improved upon. The beer and wine were not cold and the chips were stale. We only had 1 cup of coffee each in the room and the coffee at the breakfast was awful.
Excellent breakfast. Good swimming pool.
Poor value for money. Old. Rooms were not very clean.
Free breakfast food and service
Bugs in bed. Spiders everywhere. Bad windows. Dirty and uncomfortable.
Big screen tv
Caution tape surrounding various areas as roof was being worked on. The roofers started working at 7 am and sleep was impossible. Coffee machines were not working. Looked like a construction site. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Room size was good and the price was reasonable.
Hotel is not advertised under that name and it was hard to find - we actually drove by twice. It is right on the main drag and trains go by all night and day.
Beds were very comfortable. Nice size rooms. Evening social hour was ok.
Across the street from train tracks. Lots of train noise all night long. Needs lots of upgrading. This is an old property that appears they are working on to improve.
We had spent the whole day traveling around AZ. The room was clean and the bed was great! Slept real good.
My husband and me stayed one night in HAF in Augusta 2014. The staff was very helpfull the room was large but smelled like closed since a long time. Some lights were not operating.
Some lights were not operating. The room didn't smell fresh
The best part... the bedding, pillows, sheets and mattress. The towels were okay. Good shower-head. The breakfast was good... scrambled eggs with sausage or ham, toast, cereal, waffles, juice, coffee as well as yogurt and cereal. The coffee was good. I like the location as well. Near downtown as well as being close to Springer Canyon Road which was an easy route to head northwest. The train goes through Flagstaff and everyone should realize that before staying on Route 66.
The room was not clean... the bathroom drier was non-functional. Shower diverter was faulty. Leftover soap in dish. Floor dirty and stained as were the couch and chair. Grime on the bathroom floor... stickiness. Burnt out light bulbs. Thermostat cover hanging off. No window screens. Refrigerator dirty.Table filthy with hair stuck in one stain. Two clothes hangers for two people. Headboard was dirty. Trash left behind the microwave. The entire paint job was poor and gave the room a very cheap look. This place should be a goldmine, but needs some major help. They should also skip the "happy hour." Flat beer, hot merlot and no snacks.
Pleasant staff, both front desk & housekeeping. I was happily surprised to find they upgraded me to an executive suite. The breakfast that is included was very good. Attendants made sure you didn't find an empty serving pan. The hotel is on old rte 66, with close & easy access to downtown Flagstaff.
I was on the ground floor which I do prefer, but, they need more sound buffering / insulation between 1st & 2nd floors. I heard just about every movement being made upstairs. I understand they are under new ownership. I'm sure upgrades will be coming soon.

Had a great double room which was on a hill top that you could see a nice veiw of Flag. We willbe going back, and asking for the 200's rooms!!!
The manager's social hour was great. Talked to some nice travelers.
Large suite with two rooms with separate bathrooms which was great with a teenager. Usually when you book two double/queen you get one room. Excellent restaurant in town.
A little dated compared to some of the other hotels we have stayed in on this trip but it does add to the character. For the Grand Canyon Williams would be a closer choice.
Free upgrade to presidential suite, room was great. Close enough to town, friendly staff, good value. Very comfy bed.
Slight smell of dog, one of the spa baths didn't work. Looking slightly tired in a couple of places - peeling wallpaper for example, nothing major.
