Location closeness to transport and eateries.
Some average staff one or two excellent. Noise from nightclub
Great location and staff.
Tight lobby space was a zoo with private parties renting the adjacent lounge. Had to claw our way to the elevator 3 of 4 nights we stayed, and public had easy access to the guest floors if staff was distracted. Drawers under platform bed clearly intended for young clientele. Hubby and I travel a lot are both creatives, and like boutique hotels with a touch of bohemian. This one, too hip, too street for our blood.
Very accessible to Union Square & Grammercy Area. Good price point for those looking for comfortable and accessible hotel option in this area. Wifi worked well, great shower and comfortable bed & staff at reception desk were extremely helpful.
My only concern was lack of a room safe to securely store any personal items.
Rooms were a nice size and clean.
The noise, although in your room you could not hear the music from the bar, the noise from the people coming out the bar was loud and disturbing.
Had an awesome stay and will definitely return to the FlatIron Hotel. Location was perfect. Nice and clean , cool staff , Great Place !
Room was a little small, but then again it is New York after all.
The bed was comfortable , the location is good and the bathrooms functioned very well .The two lifts were fast and the reception staff are very pleasant but there is no more to the hotel ,,no lounge,no dining room , no business centre ..maybe two star hotel
There is a very loud band playing just off the reception are which attracts the twenty year olds and there is a bar on the roof upstairs ,,both did not enhance my stay .There is breakfast nor lunch and the dinner menu was a plus for nearby restaurants .The bedroom airconditioning was like a helicoptor taking off
The hotel is located close to New York attractions including Empire state building, Macy etc.
There is a live band playing until late night everydaynight. It is very noisy at night, especially if you are on the lower floors. The carpets could have been cleaner.
Nice Room mid-manhattan location, not as you could say good neighbourhood, but a few blocks from it. Good shower. Gentle Folks. Not to many facilities.
A little expensive, but what it is not expensive in Manhattan?
Great location near public transportation and good walking area, staff extremely helpful, loved the bathroom hotel had a young vibe and loved it would definitely come back highly recommend
The sheets are changed every other day rather than everyday saw getting with the towels however you can call for new sheets and towels you have to call for ice since there is no ice machine available to guest on any of the food
The location was excellent . We could easily walk down to time square and the main shopping areas. There´s a lot of entertainment all around, including the hotel itself.
The device for house keeping was not working and we were not provided with a tag. We had to step by the reception everyday of our stay to ask for someone to clean the room. In addition, although I enjoyed the entertainment at the hotel, It was a little unconfortable to have so many people moving up and down the hotel every night.
Clean Stuff Great location
Noisy!! Small Rooms Automated minibar (even if you don´t touch anything in the bar you will find things on your bill) No breakfast
Friendly staff, very convenient location, and great for the value.
location and friendliness of staff.
we were moved to a room where the there was no curtains to block out the light also the snacks in the rooms were to expensive.
We. Loved. Everything! The staff were all super nice and helpful. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable the location was perfect. It was fun and fabulous and as an added bonus, there's a Starbucks right across the street!
WE loved everything, but i will say that the band and ppl down in the club were noisy and they play til 2am. You can kind of hear the noise in your room, which didn't bother us in the slightest, but if you're looking for quiet this might not your place
The staff was very welcoming. Usually when a hotel see family with children, the hotel may not be as welcoming. This was not the case. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The hotel was very clean, and location was excellent. Will recommend it to any of my friends.
We are vegetarian and vegan so we ate out most of the time.
Location was nice. Rooftop was beautiful. My dog stayed free due to a list of issues with the room. It was a nice hotel. I've stayed in others in NYC that were much nicer for less money. Staff was great.
Took over 30 minutes to get a key to work to get us in the room. Shower curtain was broken, 1.5 hours to repair. Refrigerator, for an extra 10.00 smelled horrendous.
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Nightly music was top class Bedrooms very comfortable Maid service excellent Easy access to subway system (3 minute walk to nearest subway station)
On our first morning we asked for gluten free bread at breakfast. None was available and hence we did not have breakfast any other day in hotel.
Great location (better than any other in NY in my opinion), friendly staff, comfortable room, free pass for the 24hr fitness which was nearby.
If you're looking for a 4* hotel, move on- we really liked it, but as experienced travelers this was a poster child for a 3* hotel. We stayed for 8 days, and in that time our room was cleaned maybe 4 times (out of which 2 were on our demand). Not sure why since we were out of the hotel at least 6-7 hours every day and they had plenty of time to clean. It can get pretty messy with 3 people sharing the same room/bathroom.
Rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the prices were good for New York, and Wifi was included.
The band playing at night good be heard relatively clearly in our room on the fourth floor and they played to around 2am.
Too much noise! Loud music in the lobby and on the 10th floor until 2am!
Location well placed. The comfort ie bed, shower, air conditioning excellent. Staff always very helpful.
Toshi's vision comes through. This hotel is fun. The live music was impressive. Ordered ice to our room. Restaurants are everywhere nearby.
Nothing much... some furniture was worn. Couldn't get to the HDMI port on the tv...little stuff.
staff were very friendly and helpful at all times
Television selection was dire. Rambling discussion and health programmes. We could only find 2 entertainment channels and they were showing Married with Children 20+ year old show
The front desk staff and valet were friendly.
The lobby was cluttered with boxes and DJ junk. Large aquarium is the centerpiece of the lobby, but no one seemed to care about the 2 large dead fish. Serious lack of attention.
Liked the location with much less traffic than midtown. And the bar was fantastic with live different live music every night.
One of the two beds was absolutely horrible. I might as well have been sleeping on the floor. What hotel has different quality beds in the same room? In addition, they use a very strong air freshener in the rooms and ours was so strong that after about 3 minutes in the room, I got a headache and my daughter started sneezing. We had to leave the room for several hours so they could bring a fan up and air it out. I would not stay at this hotel again.
