We really enjoyed the inn, its cleanliness, The gourmet breakfast, its lake and location and the warm hospitality
This 1840s Inn is a nice place to stay and is located next to a lake that one can walk around to enjoy the scenery by walking out the front door. Centrally located among many state parks, forests, and only a 30 minute drive to Vermont. The owner (Dennis) and the staff where very accommodating and sincerely wanted guests to enjoy themselves. This is why I try to stay at B&B's and Inns. I would stay here again.
This is very minor... Along with the super breakfasts prepared by Dennis, I would suggest a toaster and bread for those just wanting something to go with the great coffee.
The breakfast was superb.
The facility could use some updating. The room keys fell apart each time we used them, so new key rings are in order. The bathroom was tiny, and could use some serious improvement.
Dennis and the staff at the Follansbee are wonderful. The Inn and its appointments are an antique lover's dream. Kezar Lake and is a beautiful place to swim and boat, and the Inn provides canoes and kayaks. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing!
Beds are older, and rooms on upper floors can get a bit hot and stuffy in late August.
From the beautiful lake which is perfect for swimming or boating, to the general store just a short walk from the front door, to the bell tower of the church next door which chimes the hours (but not when you're sleeping), to the delectable breakfasts, to the warm and helpful staff, this is the perfect place experience New Hampshire at its best.
I wasn't able to stay longer.
Loved the breakfast and our walk around the lake. Our room was fine and the old Inn was perfect for our needs and wants. If you need luxury and lots of glitz this is not your place but if you want natural beauty and outdoor and water fun plus friendly interesting folks, it is for you. and has luxurious food.
I did not like that we had to leave. I did not get to see the Common Loon chick but saw both parents and heard them. Lovely

The church bells could have stopped a few hours sooner at night...
Excellent breakfast and beautiful location. Overall nice experience and would stay again.
Small bathroom and slightly pricey.
Loved the peace--the beautiful lake, the comfort of the inn. The breakfast was wonderful!! A wonderful place to forget the world and relax.

Didn't meet the Mrs. Couldn't stay longer
Quintisential country inn in a classic nh area...host and staff quite gracious and helpful. Will stay here again next time that we visit the area.
The Inn was charming, and cozy. The inn keeper was very welcoming. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. The inn is filled with beautiful antiques and artwork.
Privacy In right area for my activity full gourmet breakfast little extras - candy , bottled water , fireplace in lounge. Host had knowledge of area.
3rd floor room when it seemed like others were available. Limited dinner options in area.
Had a great experience here. Dennis the owner made us feel so welcome. His breakfast each morning was amazing! Will definetly stay here again.
We stayed for 2 nights in the Family Suite. The hosts were very friendly, the inn is clean, well-maintained and beautifully decorated, like a home you don't want to leave. The breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed walks around the lake, kayaking and swimming.
We just stayed overnight, wish we could have stayed longer and taken advantage of the lake.
bathroom could have used some updates.
The gourmet breakfasts were spectacular! The lake and environment as well as the canoes, bikes, sailboat, and kayaks were all available. Very beautiful and peaceful! The inn was also lovely.
It rained one of the days we were there!
