an elevator would be nice, however we were helped up and down with our luggage
not being from the west, it was fun to stay in this western furnished hotel
This is a great place if you want something different from the standard hotel. Love the location a decor.
Our waitress on Friday night was very pushy and trying to get us done and out the door. We were late getting to the restaurant however it was 30 minutes to close
Great atmosphere friendly staff. Seemed to be a little short staffed Our waitress on Saturday and Sunday was great. Very friendly and had the floor all by herself and it was packed. She never lost her smile.
The staff was wonderful and very helpful.
No bar open after 10PM.
Outstanding breakfast. Love the small town feel.
Check in took more than an hour because of computer problems. Very annoying.
Bottom floor drug store was an old fashioned experience, complete with soda fountains, three good meals a day. Family owned they gave excellent service in both the food and hotel. Hotel clean rooms had the older feel with a cattle skin rug on the carpeted floor.
Was very disappointed when the hot tub was not working right! And my pillows has a smoke smell to them. Dissatisfied for the price!!
The food was good! Staff was nice.
Very comfortable; great price; nice little town; café downstairs was convenient and served great food. The fudge is outstanding.
What fun. Creaky floorboards and antiques.
I loved the historic nature of the hotel, the courtesy and helpfulness of the owner and staff. I much prefer old buildings well cared for over slick new things.
Restaurant food over salted and so not fit to eat. Please note with seasoning you can add it but not take it away !
The room was fine no complaints .
I left my jacket there, they kept it till came back through.
Only complaint is the wifi is unusable
Quaint settings and furnishings, super staff, and great food in restaurant. I look forward to staying here again.
A little difficult to get luggage up stairway to hotel rooms on second level. Cooking odor from restaurant kitchen below room somewhat overbearing.
Nice sized room. Very quiet. Very convenient to walk down stairs to restaurant.
location. restaurant downstairs; excellent food. Room very quaint.
The bed needed a new mattress it sagged in the middle.
We liked the atmosphere and food was excellent
No one took us up to our room to show us anything. No paper instructions. We were the only people in the building that night and didn't know what to do in case of emergency, etc. Not shown how to use the AC.
Rooms were clean and decorated in the old west style.
Stairs. Hard carrying luggage. For older people. Not your fault just a comment
Quaintness of the room. Convenient location for us. Friendly people
I wasn't told how to check out and the desk is the cashier station in the restaurant which wasn't open at 5:30 am. I had to guess and so I left the room key in the room and left since the room had been prepaid.
With so few choices in Fort Davis, it was nice having the room connected to the restaurant. Proximity to grocery store and gas station was a plus. Rooms were clean and comfortable but stairs up to the rooms a little dusty. Hey, its West Texas!
Easy to get to, excellent staff, excellent food, all meals in one spot, great price
the beds were very worn out. The sag made it hard to sleep. Two time the bed frame fell apart. managment did fix the problem the first time but the second time they were no where around.
down town location
Small toilet seats.
The food and drugstore were great. OLD TIME FUN.
