getting a little worn; room maintenance wasn't the best
Good proximity to cruise terminal
Smoking permitted on balcony room. That's why we chose this hotel.
A little pricey.
Stayed two nights at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale. The room was adequate and nice view of the marina. As we were tired from travelling from Australia it met our expectations of a comfortabe bed to sleep in and a great location.
Lobby area is always busy, noisy and full of suitcases. On checking in they told me breakfast wasnt included although I knew that I had paid for breakfast when booking through your website.. We ended up having breakfast in a cafe elsewhere. Reception gave us our breakfast vouchers on checkout!!! We ate in the Asian Restaurant. Service was ordinary and food terrible.
Location and the view.
The place itself is great
On arrival they gave us a room in a cheaper category than the one we had payed for. I asked about it, but at first the concierge told us it was indeed the right one. Upon seeing the room I could tell it wasnt. I explained thios to the concierge who then confirmed my fear that of course they didnt have any more rooms in the category we had booked. Can you believe the nerve to try and pass of a cheaper room in such an event?
Great location with walkways beside the marina and waterway.Cafes and restaurants steps from hotel. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces and activity in the evening around the pool and bar.We felt at home and safe at the Marina and would definitely book again
Having to leave!
view of intracoastal from room location near highways (non-valet) parking
a little tricky to get to by car sometimes didn't come to clean room until 4-5 pm
We were on the 14th floor with a view of the marina, and it has to be one of the best rooms in all of Fort Lauderdale. Rooms on 9-14 floors facing marina are stupdendous! Location is terrific for airport or cruise and free beach shuttle from the hotel is terrific! Beach is only a mile away. Bus 40 is quick and leaves from near the hotel and you are at beach or downtown before you know it. Wonderful staff--Dee at the front desk is a model in how people should be treated at hotels. She is a terrific representative of the Hilton Welcoming Staff. Wifi was excellent! Breakfast has three options: $22 for full buffet, $14 for cold continental, and a la carte near the lobby. We found the cold continental breakfast fantastic: fruit, cereal, large range of buns, muffins, pastries, rolls, toast, orange juice, coffee, tea, yoghurt! What more could anyone want? The room was beautiful and luxurious. Again, the view from the balcony over the marina and over to the beach is jaw-dropping. We'll stay here again for sure. Loved every minute!
Can't think of anything--the only thing was that we had to leave!
Late check in 4pm - could get the room a little earlier ie as they became available for $50. Stayed for 3 nights pre cruise, and 2 nights post cruise. Booked a intercoastal view room for both stays - first room allocated had a view of the side of a very large boat (nothing else!) told no other waterway view rooms available, therefore had to pay for an upgrade to the tower, for a room with some kind of view. Second stay (post cruise) I was allocated a room with a view across the carpark and nearby road.On complaining I was told Booking.com had not requested a intercoastal room, despite the fact that I had confirmation of my booking - after a long stand off (and being told that no intercoastal rooms were available) I was finally given what I had booked - A room with a view - and it was great!!!
The view and close proximity to very affordable water taxis. The "hop on, hop off" day pass enabled one to see quite a lot of Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal waterways and places of interest such as Las Olas Boulevard
Close to Port Everglades.
Had to pay a fee for bus ride to Port Everglades, thought it would have been included in price of room.
time by the pool
waiter very rude and inattentive until he noticed we were leaving
ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE BAD WAS VERY COMFORTABLE
after our arrival to hotel ,they keep us wait 5 hours for the room we arrive at 3.30 pm ,we get in to our room at 8.30 pm.
Scenery and location; great staff and facilities
Location was great. Service was great Employees were very friendly.
No free Wi-Fi in the rooms
We love the view of the ships and the city great area for walking to shops
The bathroom doors talked 3 times to service desk and still didn't get it right but finially did Price of breakfast is out of this world we have been there 3 years and nothing off 6 night and 3 nights for our kids just this year paying 20$ for up 1 floor
I stayed in one of your suites & it was beautiful.
The looks of the building from outside.
Had a tower suite it was wonderful. we have stayed before prior to cruising and would stay again without hesitation
Just one member of staff on reception with attitude
Everything was great.
We only had one complaint, that we had to pay a fee for overnight valet parking and was not informed of this before the morning.
View Location Fast service and readiness
To pay for parking Expensive vending machines
Having to pay for the wifi
It is a very good place to stay at if you are going on a cruise, close to FLL Intl Airport and shops
Staff were very unenthusiastic, some uniform free and looked shabby, charge for basic wifi (first time in a hotel in a long time) sheets never got changed over 5 nights, then asked if we would like to check out at 9am. Paint and plaster works outside room, debris left in hallway until we notified them.
