During our first night the guests next door had multiple dogs which were barking through the night thereby contributing to my families lack of comfort and sleep. I contacted the FD who agreed to speak with the neighboring guests. I also requested a room change if the guests next door were extending their stay for the following day. No one from the hotel followed up with my family about our request to change rooms. Our first night began with a rocky start and we barely slept the first night. The following day we were out all day and returned to a "clean" room. While going through my children's clothes I found a disgusting and oversized male underware placed with my kids clothes. This underweardid not belong to my husband or any one in our household and we were left to wonder where it came from. That same night we contacted the FD to report the bizarre underwear and to inquire about who cleaned our room but no one ever contacted us nor did they offer any apology for the ongoing inconvienances.
great location , spacious & clean room.
A huge requirement I had when searching for our hotel
Service in the restaurant was slow, though it was not crowded. The concierge gave us wrong information for an outing.
The Fountaingrove has been a great place for me to stay on my way back from visiting family in New York. A perfect place to stop after flying and driving from SFO. Very quiet so I could sleep. Nice staff. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Thanks.
not a thing
The friendliest staff, great room.
I didn't find out until check-in that the pool and spa were under construction. Not cool, as it was too late to find another place to stay...
Not good for this high price...
Free parking lot...
We had made reservations a few weeks ahead on line - NO mention of the remodeling of the pool and spa. You would think on a busy 3 day holiday weekend/Valentines Day that the pool and spa would be available. We like to stay at places that have a pool and spa. We arrived and our receptionist did not seem too happy to see us first off. Once given our keys, she said "pool and spa are closed for renovation". Gee thanks - now you tell us. No discount off of our rate either. The room was comfortable, but not worth the $300+/night - towels were cheap Motel 6 type. Refrigerator was very old and small - and plunked down on the floor in the closet. Tub was TINY. No bottled water - you would think they would provide that for again, $300/night. Had a terrible time trying to get the free Wifi to work on our ipad - could not connect - very slow. The TV got several channels, but could not get the local news (Channel 3) to come up - called the desk - they did not know how - bell-hop/on call guy could not figure it out either. Front desk said we would have to wait until 8 am when their "maintenance" person showed up. ONE desk chair for a room with TWO beds that is supposed to sleep 4 - ONE chair? Come on! Don't plan on staying there again.
Easy on/off from freeway. Given a choice of upstairs or down stairs room.
The layout of the hotel was a bit confusing. We had to work a little harder than we would've liked to find our room. Also, even though the wifi was faster than most places, we only got a limited amount. We were only there one night so it wasn't a huge deal but if we were there longer, that would've been a major annoyance.
Overall, my husband and I really liked it. The staff were very nice and helpful, The bed and bathroom exceeded our expectations, the decor was tasteful, and the wifi was fast. It was also very close to the adorable downtown. Some serious bang for our buck thanks to the discount we got it at.
The blinds on the windows hung a little crooked
Chris Morano sought out places for us, contacted our ongoing sites to ensure we were looked after elsewhere - we were blown away by his helpfulness and professionalism - more like we were staying at a grand hotel in New York than in regional CA!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean too. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
The rooms are comfortable and for that price range the nicest place we have stayed in Santa Rosa. We will always stay here when we can't make it all the way home to Mendocino after long trips.
Very comfortable accommodations and close to downtown. Beautiful restaurant on property. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.
No hotel guidebook in the room. Would have been nice to find terrycloth slippers in the closet.
Room was quiet, with a lovely walled garden outside the floor-to-ceiling window. Easy access to highway. Blanket already in closet to substitute for the duvet. Temp controls easy to understand and operate. Ample parking.
slightly tired appearance, needs once over to fix and repair small things, like missing clothes hooks, torn drapes,
nice beds and linen
Not keen on the suites being in a separate building.
The staff here are very courteous, professional and helpful. Andrea at the front desk is an asset to the hotel. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area and makes you feel so welcome everytime you walk by.
I love the location, decor, staff and ammenities!
Wifi was poor. Constantly kicked off with long lengths of time before you could get back on.
I LOVED everything. All staff was super nice and helpful. Will definitely recommend to friends and return to Fountaingrove Inn on my next trip to CA.
Room was very nice and quiet and the property was convenient to shopping and interstate. I was pleased to get such a good rate since rates for lodging at less desirable properties was about the same.
staff.location and quality
No in-room microwave. Parking can be problematic in evening (when restaurant is busy).
Good location outside/away from the Santa Rosa city center, especially destinations north and west with easy access into the City proper. We stayed here when the hotel first opened, return regularly, and see very little difference in terms of upkeep, cleanliness, etc.
The Wi-Fi was pretty non-existant
The staff was helpful, the room was clean. We upgraded to a suite and the room was large.
The concierge upgraded our room at no charge, the room was elegant and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the restaurant was exceptional. I'd definitely go back.
staff,cleanliness, location to our event
The facility is very fresh and new for its age. Looks freshly updated with nice furnishings and embellishments. Very convenient to wineries and restaurants. I'll definitely stay there my next trip.
