Score from 69 reviews Wonderful
I would deff tell others about staying there, my view was amazing, my room was perfect, the bed was comfy, very clean and the staff was all so nice!
The wifi isn't the best
Hotel is in an excellent location in walking distance for much of Savannah riverfront. Staff tries very hard to please, is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
Hotel is starting to show some gaps since its changeover to HI. Never enough newspapers, food quality has slipped, appears short staffed at times. May be because of renovations going on, and I hate to be picky but they have a lot of competition and should step it up.
- They do have a washing machine and a dryer
- Worst thing to happen is that there are no drinking water in the room. Water is something very basic, i was surprised that it wasn't provided.
Friendly staff; good breakfast, great guy at the bar!
Air-condition is noisy and dirty; chargeable parking (not clearly mentioned during booking)
I stayed here for the Savannah Rock n Roll. Great staff and excellent location
The location was great, it was a less than 1 minute walk to the market area which was were they seemed to have a lot of activities and things going on during our trip.
Not that I didn't like it but I wouldn't go anywhere past MLK which is the street where the hotel is located. It was recommended by the locals.
We had a wonderful stay here. Just a couple of blocks from the market area, with many great dining options within a few blocks. We were also within two blocks of the trolley, which allows you to tour for a whole day with one purchase. Highly recommend this hotel.
They had some real computer problems...couldn't complete our check-in. Felt so sorry for the poor woman at the front desk. She was terrific, but her computer service was a disaster. She kept her cool throughout the debacle, but there was no reason to put your staff through this mess.
Location Staff was all outstanding Breakfast was delicious Room was big Beds were very comfortable
Would have appreciated a safe in the room Lacked real drawer space (very few and very small - one was even missing the knob)
Staff were friendly and ever helpful.
Not having any hot water the very first morning. Also it appeared to have very "thin" walls and our neighbors were very noisy at all hours
1. The staff were great... genuinely friendly and professional. 2. Valet parking.
1. Decor and ammenities were dated and in need of a serious update. 2. Did not have the option of closing the window shades... bright sun all day and no privacy at night. 3. SEC Network could only be watched on 2 small TVs on 1st floor and not available in room.
Location and comfort of the bed
Room was a little small ...but we didn't spend that much time there and while we WERE there it was fine....
sMELL OF CARPET GLUE IN HALLWAY AND PAINT ON CARPET IN OUR ROOM
The hotel had just been updated and was in mint condition
Ice machine or fridge would be a good idea,
Close to city market and river street all within walking distance
parking and parking fee
Rooms and halls were dirty
Lobby and downstairs area look very nice.
We booked our King Size room through booking.com. When we checked in, the paper we signed from this hotel reflected the correct amounts I was to be charged. I noticed later, that I was charged the full price for the room, as well as several other pending transactions that the hotel staff said were "end of day charge transactions". We had not charged anything to the room, and were only staying the night. they were not very helpful at correcting my charges until I had to go back to the desk a 3rd time to talk to a manager myself. I was not happy at all with the additional pending charges holding my funds and limiting my financial access while on my Honeymoon. If it was just the pending charge for holding our room I would have understood. On a seperate note, the rooms/hallways we saw looked questionable. It was clear that they were trying to do some renovations... some very cheap and poorly done renovations. you could not plug into wall outlets in our room because the outlet itself was not attached to anything, just sitting inside the wall. I ended up with a horrible headache due to the fumes we smelled walking the hall ways. I do not know if this was due to the glue from the wall paper or from fresh paint? however there were no signs posted anywhere, and the fumes were incredibly strong. No one even offered to help us with any of our bags when we arrived.
My husband and i got married and stayed several days in Savanna for a short honeymoon. The hotel was nice, the room was clean, and the staff worked around our needs to help make it a lovely experience!
The only thing was the parking, there is none. Unless you get lucky and find a close parallel parking spot you have to park down the road a ways and walk and the neighborhood behind the hotel, in the opposite direction as the historic district, isnt so nice. The other option is $20 a day for Valet, which we found to be the better option.
Location was good
Rooms were a bit dirty, seems like they don,t vacuum much.we stayed 3 nights & crap on floor was still there when we checked out.
Proximity to City Market
With tax, over $250/nite for 2 double bed room lacked value
I loved Lonnie and Becky but, all staff was great.
Prices high because of Octoberfest..
Great location. Nice comfortable hotel.
Immaculate condition, genuinely, sincerely friendly, and helpful staff in every regard. Enthusiastic 5 STARS! AAAAA+++++ Our highest recommendation for accommodations and hospitality. It was a wonderful experience!
No serious ramifications, but someone who had access to my car (valet) had a fountain drink from McDonalds (We never go there) and 'smoked a joint' (cannabis) in my car. The odor lingered for a day or so. That was somewhat aggravating, as we don't "smoke" anything in the car! Period. We don't wish to pursue or make an issue of it, however, and we most assuredly don't want any staff to get into trouble. We simply think local personnel should be aware.
The ac unit had no way of turning down. The knobs were missing. It was stuck in full blast.
Location was ok. Nice breakfast buffet, you must pay for it.
I had pretty much no Wi-Fi, but I think it as due to construction. I moved out after 2 nights. I am sure after renovations are done it would be a much better place to stay at. Maybe they should advise you of the reno
Just about everything. Staff were very helpful & pleasant.
Did not like the pillows.
