The rooms were very big and the beds were very comfortable.
The parking lot was located only at the front of the hotel so acess to all rooms was thru the front door making it a long walk for the elderly or disabled.
We loved the location. We loved the hot tub right outside our patio. We loved that there was a frige for our wine to chill in. Beds were lovely, and the bathroom had great lighting.
No microwave to heat up my morning coffee!
Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful, well-maintained garden, pool, and jacuzzi, very clean room. The hotel was right on the harbor, with downtown Ventura a 5-minute drive away. You could even call for a trolley to come pick you up and take you where ever you like!
There was a loud party that night, but it ended around midnight, so it wasn't a big problem. The bed was not super-comfortable: You could hear the bed springs squeak, but I still got a good night's rest.
Room was spacious Service was good Liked having info on Ventura in room
Jacuzzi area was unkempt (didn't feel clean to sit in tub for too long) Breakfast was only ok--greasy.
Affordable and very clean. Very minimal noise and awesome location. Staff was helpful and understanding and informative. Overall a nice experience.
Why is there no breakfast included? I did not like the fact that I would have had to pay extra for room service breakfast. It should already be included automatically.
staff room coffee and tea in room bed extra towels and pillows already in room being at the harbor nice area for walking and sunset great restaruants walking distance staff
noise through walls noise from hallways very loud sounded like a herd of elephants above us the bathrooms have dispensers for shampoo ,conditioner and body wash but they were empty.
Very helpful staff, spacious rooms and beds. Free fast wifi.
Our room stinked horribly. After two days we got used to that but the first day it was disgusting. You also see that the hotel gets old and the level of maintenance is not enough. Wallpaper in our room was coming out of the wall, tennis courts are old, surface is totally cracked and dirty (bird poo). Also the cleaning staff could be more friendly, at least they could reply to "good morning" not mentioning saying "good morning" firts....And paying 10$ per day for parking in such a remote location is definitely unfair and uproper. Big min.
Loved the location and balcony view of harbor. Very friendly staff and helpful!
The room was outdated and smelled very musty when we walked in. Carpets need to be replaced or something. The mattress was uncomfortable and made us sore.
Location and the room (except handicapped provisions).
Staff were functional. Gave us a handicapped room. Includes handles on toilet, lower height light switches which are hard to find in the dark, and different shower including shower head. Should have asked for a different room but too tired to go through the check-in process again with a disinterested employee. We had dinner in the dining room which had one other person in it. Overall, I would say you need new management who will retrain the personnel there.
Satff was good, friendlly. I asked for late check out and they agree. Location was excellent
Housekeeping staff was littele agreesive and not friendlly.
room, city, location
hot tub was broken the whole time I was there!!
Beds were comfy and it was very quiet was able to get rest. Love noon checkout :)
Parking fee really
Clean room with a patio. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.
Had to pay for parking. The towels smelled like paint thinner!
Comfort of room, Location Amenities on site
TEN DOLLAR PARKING PER DAY WHEN THEY HAVE MORETHAN PLENTY OF SPACE...IT WAS NOT LIKE THEY ARE THE CITY AND PARKING SPACE IS NOT ABUNDANT...N O THEY HAVE ACRES! Forgot my newspaper, Long wait to check in after 3 pm, Quite a distance from other amenities
It is a super clean hotel and the pool is surrounded with nice palms open until 10 p.m. Room service is good.
They charge to their customers for parking lot.
Every step of the way staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. We wanted to stay a second night and they were all booked, so they called other hotels and searched for us to find a place. The room wasn't ready when we a arrived and they immediately comped our parking without us having to ask. The property is walking distance to Ventura harbor village and boats to the Channel Islands, and just a few minutes drive to downtown Ventura.
No breakfast included.
During check in, Ms. Lee assist us and really did an effort to make our rooms close to one and another. She's nice. During check out, Ms. Manchester assist us in a very friendly, good manner way. I like her smile while she do the talking.
Good sized room with quality fittings
Paying extra for parking
The beds were comfortable and nice The bath area was clean The view from my room was decent The front counter staff was kind to me
The manager Silvia was very rude before arriving, not what she said but the way she spoke down to me and was just not concerned with respect. The dinning room didn't have a hostess to seat people because she was helping the wait staff so people waited too long to be seated the bathroom floor is very slippery and has no rugs the shampoo and soap quality was poor the price (153.00 per night) was too high for this hotel.
The room was spacious and the beds were fairly comfortable. The location was close to the Harbor and the beach which was our main destination. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub! The grounds are pretty. We were pleased they allowed dogs.
The door either slammed shut noisily or didn't close all of the way. There wasn't enough drawer space in the dresser for 4 people to vacation for 1 week. Not enough outlits to charge all phones. Coffee in the lobby area always ran out. Paying for parking.
The room was very comfortable. Very roomy! Loved it! I will be staying there everytime I go to that area! Very impressed!
Nothing bad about it
Modern hotel very comfortable. Nice TV. Shuttle bus that went to the wharf and to the downtown area.
The $10 charge to park my car and bicycles that you had to pay to rent.
Noise, age of property
The rooms are clean.
The staff were defensive, discourteous and inhospitable, even at check-in. Parking is an extra $10 per day. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, parking lots are huge, still they charge a very high parking rate. We were in a room on the 2nd floor. There was a room above us. Due to the poor construction of the building we could hear our upstairs neighbors just walking around the room. At one point there was a child jumping off the bed which the manager alleged she asked them to stop. But just normal hotel room use was very loud. Then next morning before 8am we were woken by the maid service cleaning the room upstairs. We could hear their chatter, the vacuum, moving furniture. It was anything but restful. When we approached the staff about the noise in the room above us we were met with shrugs. In the end they discounted our parking charge! There is NO WI-FI and the LAN cable requires your cable info. So if you are a foreign tourist with no such thing, what then? There was no soap in the dispenser in the bathroom. In a double Queen room there was 1 bottle of drinking water provided. The location is terrible. The hotel is a long walk from the rather run down Ventura harbor complex. There was very poor service in the hotel bar, up to 15 waits for service. The staff at checkin were not at all hospitable. They seemed to be put out by my booking.com booking & it took them a while to work out if my booking had been paid for. They did not attempt friendliness during the whole exchange and were quite demanding I sign up for their frequent use program. Please, avoid this hotel. We were looking for a relaxing couple of days off the beaten path and were sorely disappointed. I highly doubt this hotel is indicative of the standard of Sheraton Four Points elsewhere. Very poor indeed.
