Quality of service and room were excellent. The spa experience was very relaxing and refreshing. Unsolicited details of champagne and cake in our room awaiting our arrival as newlyweds straight from our reception was greatly appreciated and a delightful surprise. They also made up for lost garment bag containing small storage boxes for our wedding attire with hotel's own storage bags for my wife's gown and my tuxedo.

Original garment bags in our car did not find their way to our room with the rest of our luggage, but as stated in what I liked, hotel establishment made up for this error. My booking through Booking.com was for a Premier Room. As advertised on the FS-DC website, they are fitted with bathroom showcasing a double vanity, which was a cute feature for us as newlyweds; but we were placed in a room with only a single vanity. At check-in, the service rep attempted to locate a larger room to no avail. I attributed the end result to our late check-in for which we were graciously accommodated and overlooked this blighted expectation, but you are only newlyweds once. Still, FS is the one and only place to go!

Room good - hospitality personnel excellent. Mel and Matt on the concierge desk extremely helpful.

Steak restaurant no doubt lauded but we disliked it intensely. No balance no theatre, just boring. Consequently, we ate very few times in Seasons (breakfast) and never again for dinner. Pretentious , it was!

overpriced for what it was. how could they charge extra for wifi understanding the high room charge. food on the terrace apart from the hamburger was recommended everytime we sat down as the best thing on the menu and there was little else to choose from or rocommended. Desert was a disgrace and a disappointment that we had it taken off the bill - also highly recommended by one of the terrace staff.# It consisted of three squirts of an imitation cream and two or three blobs of peach and 3 small doughnuts. The doughnuts were plain and uninteresting and the size of a golf ball, magnifying glass needed to see the peach and the cream wasnt fresh cream whipped. terrace is extremely badly lit by candles and the odd light - at nightime you need a special torch to see the menu, eat the food and see your partner. I would highly recommend that the trees be decorated with white pixie lights permanently and up the terrace lighting. this would improve dramatically. Should put flowers on the table, choice of pre dinner drink snacks and the terrace could become a wonderful meeting place and eating place, other than for the boys from Capitol hill,

sorry put the complaints in the wrong box, pl see opposite. Now the rooms, old fashioned, boring, soul less and need updating. Actually the whole hotel lacks soul,

The staff was superb, they provided quick replies to our questions and were at all times eager to assist.

The lack of an outdoor pool was noticed but this is a tough find in Washington.
