The staff was extremely helpful. I needed to store my suitcase early and the staff checked and said I could go ahead and checkin. This allowed me to get my stuff settled in my room and then freed me up to explore Boston.
Cute room. Coffee. Location was great.
No parking. No breakfast. For the same price we could get both elsewhere and not have to stay in a basement.

Staff was helpful & responsive. We liked the brownstone experience. We loved the location.. Out of the hustle and bustle but near to Back Bay shopping and eating, and to the esplanade and campuses.

Poor Wi-Fi. I was in a room next to the signal and it was still "world wide wait" time. Asked at the front desk and given the access to code for two other floors. Still not strong, hard to get work done.

Location, architecture and atmosphere of the building and the room. The staff at the reception was helpful.
Sometimes it was cold in the room and it was impossible to control the heating system. There was also a draft from the windows. One afternoon I had a long walk in town. When I came back, I had a coffee in the TV room on the basement. My feet were tired and hurting.Since there was nobody else in the room I took the shoes off and let my legs rest on the couch. A man came immediately into the room (personnel I suppose) and told me to put my feet on the floor. So remember not to rest your feet until you are in your own room.

No air con, room was very warm and stuffy, no lift, had to carry suitcases up four flights of stairs, bathroom didn't have flannels. No breakfast.
No elevator - our room was on level 5 and there was no assistance with the luggage. Electrical plugs did not all work and I needed a power source for my CPAP during the night.
The value for staying in the Back Bay is outstanding. The room was wonderful and in a great location.
The coffee room didn't open until 8:00 am.

This is a great place to stay. Keep in mind it is a guest house so if you are expecting a 5 star hotel with a hot tub and plasma tv in every room this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a good clean place with great service at a reasonable price, then head to Beacon Street Guest House!
There really are not any draw backs to the Beacon Street Guest House. All of the rooms are different in size, price, and amenities, so make sure you know what room you are getting.
The place itself and location was nice. The emergency number for help was quickly answered and the gentleman was helpful. You get what you pay for comforts wise, just average.
No parking. Closest recommended place to park was an expensive structure a few blocks down, not a good deal for older populations or during rain like we had to run through with all of our luggage.
The room on the 5th floor didn't have wifi connection and heat. I told staff members 3 times so that they work this out. They said everything was functioning...functionning is one thing, but it was obviously not turned on. The result, 3 nights in a very cold room where I could not work (purpose of my stay). Very bad experience.
I don't like you sending for feedback when I already have and you published it. Get your act together!

Walking distance from downtown, just across the Charles River from Cambridge and close to Fenway. Hynes green line T station is close by. Bed was very comfortable. Room was classically furnished and large.
Unfortunately the one night we stayed there was a problem with the hot water boiler which was not resolved until we had gone out for breakfast. There is a coffee machine in a common room but this room is locked from 7pm to 8am so we were not able to access it on the evening we arrived from Logan airport.
Location, could walk into the centre. Got given the wrong room first, but staff moved us to the one we'd booked.

The rooms and building were very clean.
The shower stalls were extremely small and there was an incredibly inadequate space provided for the toilet that could easily be resolved by moving the sink over slightly in both my own room and the room my friends shared.
