Poor Wifi Bad bed.. !
Too many steps and when arriving at "Symphony" rm on 5th floor it was blazing hot and no windows to open or regulate temp. Toilet didn't work. And left a day early.
Very accommodating for late check in.
Nice and comfortable hotel at a really nice location, conveniently located, etc.
The shared toilet in our floor was a bit clogged, but we could use the one in another floor without much hassle.
Good Rate, Great Location, Quiet, Clean
Beautiful house, amazing location. Good price. Nice helpful staff.
The place was freezing!! It was a cold spell in January but they didn't adjust the heat accordingly. The blankets were thin, but bed was otherwise comfortable. My room was mostly clean, but not entirely. The shower in the shared bathroom did not work optimally.
Location pleasant and safe, 3 blocks to the T. Nice historic photos to enjoy on the walk up the flights of stairs.
Windows in the 5th floor walk-up room were too high to see out of; only plastic ware in kitchenette.
Stayed in two rooms. One very good the other average. Handy to have access to washing machine and dryer. Location great.
No access to booking nicer rooms via bookings.com....have to go to their web site to book....
- low-key - nothing fancy but exactly what you need - free coffee and tea? i'm about it
Room was supposed to be on the second floor. Instead it was in the basement
Value (cheap, but amazing and not roughing it at all) location, full kitchen, location, location.
Sofa was eh?
Location, warm, great view
too many stairs - but to be fair I was well warned.
Nice staff, excellent style in decorate in guest house.
Too small bathroom.
The staff was extremely helpful. I needed to store my suitcase early and the staff checked and said I could go ahead and checkin. This allowed me to get my stuff settled in my room and then freed me up to explore Boston.
Cute room. Coffee. Location was great.
No parking. No breakfast. For the same price we could get both elsewhere and not have to stay in a basement.
Super location for the price!
Room was a little small.
Price, staff, location, convenience, proximity to sites, friendliness, quiet, spacious room
Older facilities, room in basement
Staff was helpful & responsive. We liked the brownstone experience. We loved the location.. Out of the hustle and bustle but near to Back Bay shopping and eating, and to the esplanade and campuses.
wifi was useless.
Great Location, very nice staff
Poor Wi-Fi. I was in a room next to the signal and it was still "world wide wait" time. Asked at the front desk and given the access to code for two other floors. Still not strong, hard to get work done.
The location and view were outstanding.
The Kitchenette and Bathroom needs updating.
Help and friendliness of Dave the house manager and the other staff.
Small bathroom. Cold water in sink.
Location, architecture and atmosphere of the building and the room. The staff at the reception was helpful.
Sometimes it was cold in the room and it was impossible to control the heating system. There was also a draft from the windows. One afternoon I had a long walk in town. When I came back, I had a coffee in the TV room on the basement. My feet were tired and hurting.Since there was nobody else in the room I took the shoes off and let my legs rest on the couch. A man came immediately into the room (personnel I suppose) and told me to put my feet on the floor. So remember not to rest your feet until you are in your own room.
Excellent location, walking distance to nearby eateries, 20 min walk from the famous Cheers bar!
No air con, room was very warm and stuffy, no lift, had to carry suitcases up four flights of stairs, bathroom didn't have flannels. No breakfast.
