Help from the front desk finding my cell phone.
The courtesy soaps were almost too small to use. Weren't given the wifi password on checkin.
The proximity to trolleys, subways and shopping. Our favorite restaurant was only a few blocks away.
Not really a bad experience. Just really bad coffee, the only thing they offer. (And tea). It is a 10oz cup of water for a small coffee pod. Just water really. Nothing else to make your morning relaxing.
I always enjoy staying in Guesthouses and B&Bs. It is beautiful and very well located, close to everything. I highly recommend it.
No fault of the guesthouse but the view was restricted unless you took the spiral staircase to the loft.
The service was excellent and friendly, it wasn't a hotel, and the location was great.
Beautiful buildindg. Easy access to public transportation and hip back Bay neighborhood. Will definitely stay again!
For the amount of money we paid, could of stayed somewhere for less with continental breakfast. this place just had coffee or tea, which we had neither of. The rooms didn't have great locks on their doors, could easily be picked by anyone, so I didn't feel secure enough. No offense but won't stay here again.
unclean. room wasnt serviced when asked. Was not worth the money spent.
Location. Microwave. Fridge. Free Wi-Fi
Wasn't sure if there was maid service or not cuz the room would look the same after I left it. The room at one point was hot but gradually got comfortable. Walking up all those stairs but it was ok. Good exercise. No complimentary breakfast but at least there was coffee :3.
Everything was great. The room wasn't too big or too small. It was just right. When going up to my room, there was a nice gentleman that came over to help me bring up my suitcase up to my room. That was really nice. Great quiet location.
Lack of elevator.
I particularly like the location of the apartment in that it is close to everywhere especially the popular Mass ave and then the rail station as well as metro services. The staff are also very warm and nice.
No parking anywhere near but can't hold that against them. Also there's 5 floors and no lift, I was on the top floor so a bit of a hike up to the room, especially with luggage. Reception closes at 7pm also.
Bang in the middle of everything you want to see in boston. Near Fenway park area and a short stroll down to beacon hill and downtown.
No elevator, please consider well if your luggage would be heavy
I could hear people snoring and farting from our room especially the bathroom, which was obscenely rundown, the shampoo was atrocious. Cleanliness seemed same level as after a bachelor's party (but this maybe because it is an older property?). The air flow in the room was borderline unhealthy. The ramp of stairs leading to the upper bed seemed unsafe and shaky and it is extremely clumsy.
Location and in particular one fellow at the front desk, he was like a buddy. AMAZING location and best price around (still a robbery) Liked the lobby and computer/printer facility
Bring ear plugs, you can hear through the floors and walls. They advertise complimentary coffee, but it's not available in the morning, when I need it. I don't think the coffee room is open until 8 when staff arrives, which is kinda useless. The wireless was pretty weak.
The location and price were great.
This location was absolutely worth the price. I felt secure and everything was clean and comfortable.
Air condition not working. Room does not smell good. No wardrope
Comfortable beds Kitchen Wide space.
Expect to be in a house - audible privacy is not what you would expect in a hotel.
staff, location and awesome bed!
weak Wifi, here is a guest house not hotel!
good location, to stay like a boston citizen
Emailed me that I could find the room keys in reception desk, but it turned out nothing was there. No one support in the hotel, the facilities was so old and I called them to wait there for about 1 hr finally to get into the room, 4/F without lift, no services, no shower-room, water is not hot enough ..
Someone received my call (message left) in 8:30pm and then came back to hotel, to get me the room key for entry around 9pm, during the time it's freezing outside.
Just not for me, very out of the way location, bathroom was cramped and dated, furniture was old and non-functional
The receptionist was kind
You should warn guests that if they bring a vehicle they should budget an extra 30 bucks a day for a parking garage or you could offer to compensate for parking.
I loved the location!
Too many floors without elevator is a problem for someone who have got a room at 4th or 5th floor. Also, I think they should improve the clean up.
In my opinion the location is undoubtedly the best aspect to staying at the Beacon street Guest House.
The kids working the front desk were rude and bad at their job. Instead of having to ask to have room cleaned it should be done automatically.
Everything overall was smooth!
The good location and the sweet 100-plus year old architecture of the guesthouse and the neighborhood. I stayed for four nights--the $100.00 refund for 2 nights of no hot water is very fair.
Unfortunately in the day we stayed there was no hot running water due to the problem with the broiler.
Spacious room. Location is not far from the subway. Beautiful decoration.
You get what you pay for. The room was tiny; the pillow and comforter were old. The rug was worn.
Fairly convenient to subway. Good alternative to staying in a more expensive hotel. Bathroom had modern fixtures and shower. Heat worked well for a very cold winter night. Room was quiet.
