The location is superb and the rustic side of the Inn is great. Friendly staff, I felt like a regular but it was the first time for me there. I will return.

Our room was small, it could be an issue for a winter stay.

Really enjoyed our 3-day stay here - the room was pleasant, the staff was great, and the location was perfect. A great traditional inn feel.

We liked everything about the Inn. The staff and facilities were very nice.

What we did not like was the fact that Booking.com never made the reservation for us, so when we arrived, we were almost out of luck for a room. Won't use this website again.

Room was nice, hot tub and pool were great. The food downstairs was fantastic and they offer a meal plan if you are staying there so you get money off on the meal. They offer free bike rental and use of their tennis courts. You can always rent horses next door to go riding. Overall, a very nice stay.

The staff could have been a bit more welcoming.

Great location. Beautiful and comfortable accommodations. Friendly staff.

Understaffed resulting in inefficient service. Staff was friendly but unable to meet the needs of the guests in timely manner. Overheard staff comments about outdated computer system and resulting inefficiency. Spoke to a local at the pub inside the Inn who admitted the service needed "some polishing" and I agree.

Location, Free Coffee was ready early and was quite good. Pool and Hot Tub were nice. Liked having no TV in the room. Bikes, Tennis Courts. New Bartender was very helpful getting Hot-Tub running.

Tiny rooms, lack of a bathroom fan, daylight showed around the bedroom door, and it was hard to lock. Room was cool enough, but public rooms were a bit musty mid-summer. Mandatory 15% tipping policy was a real turn-off. Believe that tipping should be totally optional. (Don't object to tipping - we usually tip 20% for good service) Never ate at the Inn for that reason. Polly's Pancake House and Wendell's Garnet Hill Diner were delightful.

This is a true country inn in the best sense - not overly fancy but very comfortable and a real retreat.

It is close to so many fun activities. The room was cozy and clean, with wonderful air conditioner for a muggy weekend. The staff is so so nice and accommodating. And sitting on the porch with one of their great drinks after a long day is so lovely.

The only thing I would change would be their coffee. Some sort of wonderful strong local brew would be great.

We were upgraded to a more superior room and this included breakfast. The situation and surrounding were great and there was a good range of facilities at the hotel.

No prior warning that pub was closed on the Sunday evening. We only wanted a light meal, but had to eat in the restaurant. We were charged what we thought was a ridiculous amount for a very ordinary house salad and a small fillet of salmon. There was no fridge in our room or alternatively ice available.

I like the location and quiet environment and the food !

Showers ! It was so difficult to take a shower. Water didn't have enough pressure so it took forever!

When we first found the Inn, I admit we were leery because it was in the middle of nowhere. But, it turned out to be such a relaxing place to be after spending a day hiking. We did venture out to one of the little quaint towns which was quite enjoyable. Discovering the Robert Frost house was something not on our itinerary, so that was a pleasant surprise discovering it was so near.We felt so at home. It reminded us of places that we stayed at while in Ireland. Before heading out, we walked the grounds and followed the trails to some nice picturesque scenery which was a wonderful way to end our stay there!!
