Very good,

“ This place is well-run, highly affordable : the best bang for your buck possible at any hostel anywhere. The staff is friendly, and engaged and competent For a man over six-three the bed might be just a tad short: I slept fine at a slight angle. ”

Great rooms, in a 4 share, plenty of space. Multiple power sockets to juice up at the end of the day, safe & mostly quiet location The resident bar " the broken shaker" is popular with the locals & can be noisy. Location is a bit of a hike to South Beach action, but busses run regularly if you can work out which one to jump on

We were a family group of seven people. We stayed from Wednesday April 17 to Tuesday April 23. We were assigned the apartments that are in a building separate from the main one. Rooms are spacious, very comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Lots of nightlife in the area of the pool with a good vibe. The noise was never a problem as we were a bit away from the pool area. Breakfast the same every day, sweet pastry and beef pastry, orange juice, coffee and fruit, it would be good to vary a little but it gave us the energy needed to start the day. Ignoring the details ... is an excellent hosting It was the first time that we were staying in a hostel but we expected a little more cleaning in the rooms as they were private and not shared. The towels were only changed once in the six days. On the other hand, regarding the payment, we expected to do it with two credit cards but the hostel policies could only do allowed it with one. Maybe it was our fault for not making the prepayment as we had offered by Janine. In short, the site is very nice, maybe a bit high in price but I think it's excellent location makes up. Regarding parking, plenty of spaces near the hotel. Only it becomes difficult to locate a spot on Friday nights, given the hotel's nightlife and other places nearby

It was great value for the money, and a short walk from the beach and attractions. They offered access to a trip to the everglades and other recreational activites. It had a nice in house bar, and comfy pool side

Staff is wonderful. MaryAnn, Nancy, Jesse, Christine, and the others are all very nice and warm to you, they helped me with everything I needed. I needed a bed change- they did it for me right away. They were always friendly and gave good advice. Beds are most comfortable in a hostel, and privacy is even better. The accommodations couldn't have been better. The outdoor facilities, pool, and recreation area, are a nice, relaxing setting to come back after a long day of either touring or business, and just chill in the many lounge chairs they have, and listen to the music they have playing, the folks at the bar are nice and friendly. Overall, everything was warm, friendly and relaxing! I'd love to come back again and again! And you couldn't beat the price either! Nothing not to like! :)

The setup of the hostel was wonderful. The poolside/patio was absolutely stunning and the fact that there was always something going on was even cooler. Nancy, and other staff members at the front desk were incredibly helpful and pleasant. The air conditioners were also great to have. Considering it was extremely humid, and about 90 degrees, it saved me from a terrible nights sleep a few times. The people staying there were awesome too. I was one of the few American people there, which was one of the best parts about the hostel. The breakfast could have gone on a bit longer, with maybe some more filling things besides pastries. Scrambled eggs would have been awesome. The price was a bit high for me, but then again, I was there of Ultra + Spring break. I'd like to stay there again on an off season to see if the price is any lower. Most of our sinks leaked, which was more annoying than anything. A list of the public buses and where they go would be helpful here as well. (Maybe just mention that the 150 goes to the Airport, the 120 goes downtown the L goes the South beach. No need to list all the stops). Aside from all those small things, there was nothing here that stood out and said "hey, I hate this place". On the contrary, I was told by everyone who had seen more hostels than this one to not even have this on my expectations list, it was too nice.

Location, garden, decor, good showers and air con. Broken lift, wi fi poor and needs faster speed. Reception staff could be more attentive to guests as were never in a hurry to help however housekeeping, porters and luggage assistants were excellent.

Pool area and recreation backyard are fantastic! Did i mentioned the best cocktails in the bar?! Great hostel! Will revisit if coming back to Miami beach! It was a bit pricie, but considering the facts: Ultra festival, wmc and apring break, I think it was reasonable.

This hostel is honestly for everyone. While I was staying with a group of girls, we saw business people walk in, elderly couples, families from Germany, France, etc. They have different types of rooms and some include a kitchen if you want to cook all of your meals. There's a bar-The Broken Shaker- that's not owned by the hostel and open to the public so at night, tons of locals come by and get excellent drinks where they use their spice garden! It's a great place if you're on a budget, the people are nice, the hostel is clean and the location is 2 blocks from the beach. No communal kitchen, which we thought they had said on booking.com and although it says restaurant attached, they haven't even finished renovating the building where they want to put the restaurant.

Beds and rooms were very comfortable. Depending on your roommates, you can have a very positive or negative experience. Got to meet some really cool people from all around the world. Had roommates from Italy, Brazil, Sweden, and even Japan! Staff were incredible. I wanted a bottom bunk bed, and they switched my room immediately! Their maintenance guy brought my bag up three flights of stairs, as the elevator wasn't working. The staff was always helpful and with a smile, and ready to answer any of your questions, or even for a friendly chat. I don't want to leave anyone out, so, they all know who they are! All maintenance staff and cleaning crew are friendly and do their job well. The place is well-maintained, and the pool area is a excellent place to chill out for the afternoon. I met some guys from Norway, Finland and other places. All the folks here were nice and friendly. I was working most of the time, so, I didn't really have a chance to socialize as much as I would have liked to, but it seemed like it was quite buzzing on friday night outside by the bar and outdoor lounge area they have. Their lobby is nice and lit with romantic candles and a very relaxing setting. They have game activities where you can hang out with your friends, or meet new people! There is always somewhere you can go to chill and have some private time. Either in your room, in the lobby, or outside by the pool... They have bikes to rent for the day, and other activities to do - or you can head to the beach which is right there! Lots of families here, as it is like a hotel as well. So, there are kids and older folks that stay here as well. Not sure what they think of the music and partying at night, but I guess they are happy. Breakfast is nice. And the coffee is a great way to start the day! Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I wish if I wasn't working, I'd be able to enjoy it more... I did have a nice time with my roommates. Folks snoring in the room. And, one guy who just didn't seem to bother to take a shower. That was a horrible experience. Other than that- nothing else to comment on. The music was a bit loud and lasted until 2 in the morning, so, if you don't mind the music, than it's no problem. But, if you are a light sleeper- bring earplugs! Oh, and you can only stay here for 2 weeks at a time, as it is a hostel, and not a hotel.

Friendly and relaxing environment and the people stayed at the hostel are generally educated young professional or students. bathroom can be updated a bit more like shower curtain, etc. which would not require a lot of money, but would make it look a lot trendy and clean.

I liked most the comfortable, soft beds. I slept like a baby. They cleaned up the room every day. In the Lobby was a water dispenser so we automatically take a cup to drink water all the time we passed by. The Pool is nice and load to relax. Always full of young people, especially at weekends. The breakfast was not that promising. They played outside in the garden every day the same music. If u stay longer in that hostel it starts to annoy.

Freehand is a perfect place to stay for young people. Although its a little bit far from Lincoln road(20 min by foot) it is very nice. Bus stop near the entrance of the hostel. Easy to get from airport.Comfort rooms, cool design, extra friendly staff, cool bikes to rent, pool and evening parties at bar. It made my stay in Miami Beach very pleasant. 20 min by foot to center( but 5 min by bus) Not very good cleaning, didn't change towels every day.
