Historic building centrally located. Makes getting everywhere so easy. Quiet building, clean and very, very friendly, helpful staff.
No window in our room. Smoking allowed on patio.
Beautiful patio area with small swimming pool. Convenient parking across the street.
The staff was so friendly, we had a room with no windows on the 3rd floor (348) we nicknamed it the cave and LOVED it! The beds were amazing the bathroom huge and nice... Great courtyard, amazing location, and then there is Patrick :) would not stay anywhere else in NOLA after this!
No bad experience but would recommend adding more chairs in the room.
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The location of the property was right in the French Quarter and reasonably priced.
Can't complain about anything.
Location, staff friendliness, quaint courtyard, safe and well constructed balconies.
Room was on the darkly lit side. Hard to see what you were doing. Also, not as clean as it should be. Found a bug in my bed the second night. Freaked me out.
The location in the French Quarter was the best.
The hotel is beautiful, clean, quiet (especially since it's on a very busy street), and accommodating. The staff is very nice and helpful, and it is practically in the middle of everything you want to see in the French Quarter.
Old hotel, old room. The back hallway/walkway just outside the lobby was smelly and filthy. Bathroom was ok.
Location, location, location! Short walk to Riverwalk, Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde and Bourbon Street. Public parking just right across the street. CLEAN, comfortable bed.
There are no windows in rooms!
Not soundproof at all! We can hear everything around the room! No window in some rooms. Be careful when you choose, it's not well written. But possible to change after.
The hotel is well situated close to bars, touristic places and business center. Really friendly people working there!
renovated walls had brick mortar falling into the bed on pillow and sheets 24 hours a day. mortar was so loose it was like sand and 1/8' and 1/4' stones.fell on pillows on me, on sheets during sleeping. Do not stay in Room 133, horrible, others may be similar. Staff kept saying walls were resealed. bottom 4 feet off floor was sealed . upper 6 feet was not. 200 year old mortar was just falling out of the brick joints. Nice place, nice people, but no once offered a solution to our problems. no other vacancies in town. FYI I travel all the time. this is my first bad review on a hotel in 30 years. We wont be back.
Great location, facility pretty nice and quaint, staff fairly helpful. Staff needs to be given more authority to fix what is wrong.
The air conditioning made my room very cold; I had to ask for a blanket.
The courtyard is lovely.
Requested a top floor room months in advance and was put in small pokey room next to a door that was a seem to be a main walkway.
Location was great and the staff was very good
Proximity to French quarter
My room was dated and dark, the lift (elevator) was so loud that I had to wear earplugs, the bath was chipped and stained and I found a number of bugs in the room.
Loved the central French quarter location, communal areas and the staff were really helpful.
just change the carpets....or the very least clean them
This is the second time I have stayed there. Location is great, hotel is lovely, the staff at the front desk was very helpful in setting me up with a plantation tour. Plan to stay there again if I get the NOLA!
Expensive Parking although it was Valet.
If staying in the quarter and you do not mind a room with no windows. This is the best Value. Food, Drink, Shopping, Sightseeing directly out the front door.
don't like to pay for parking (just a pet peeve of mine)
the room (even though it did not have a view) I am quite familiar with N'awlins and it provided a location that was in close proximity of the places (restaurants. Jackson Square) I always visit
Our room was quite small, and there was no bureau to hold clothes, so we lived out of the suitcase. More importantly it had poor lighting, so it seemed cave like.
Outstanding location, just 2 blocks from Jackson Square and Bourbon St, but quiet at night. Fair price for New Orleans, very accommodating staff.
We loved the hotel, courtyard, room, and location within the French Quarter. Our room was quiet and comfortable and within easy walking distance of many good restaurants, jazz clubs, and other New Orleans attractions.
Valet was slow, when I finally got my car the music was turned way up and so was the A/C on a 70 degree weather day. Seems like the guy took a joy ride in my car because I waited at least 35 minutes to get my car, not to mention I called 15 minutes in advance.
The room was nice, and the pool area was very relaxing.
It would have been nice to have a window
The pillows were wonderful
location, nice peaceful courtyard, friendly staff, comfortable room, interesting historic property, friendly hotel cat
