Minie wa really helpful. AND LONIE WAS TOO.
We had a fantastic stay. Best sleep ever in a hotel. Comfy beds and great ac units. Clean. Staff was wonderful. Would stay here again...courtyard is beautiful
Hotel was comfortable and staff were responsive to any requests. For its location, the hotel was good value.
Although the room had a window, it didn't open so became a bit airless. Having the air conditioning on all the time was noisy and it wasn't possible to direct the airflow away from the bed.
All good lovely room great staff good quality hotel for the price
parking across street, staff very friendly. rooms were quiet.we would stay there again
rooms are small, staying the week wished the rooms had refridgerator / microwave.hallways- stairwell not cleaned everyday
It is a great location, very quaint and quiet setting, and very clean.
The bed was very hard. That is fine, just not my preference. There were not enough pillows nor was there a bedspread, just a sheet. They brought a blanket upon request.
Very efficient staff and the room itself was lovely. Felt like a luxurious way to finish off our holiday. Really close to action of the French Quarter without being too noisy.
Knowing where to drop the car to have it valet parked (the only option really) was a bit hairy at first.
Cleanliness and location were both excellent .
Our room was tiny.
If you're looking for a great place to stay while visiting the French Quarter, I'd say the French Market Inn is perfect. Two blocks away from Jackson Square and Cafe DuMonde. Around the corner from The Cooking School (BTW - great fun and food) and Emeril's NOLA restaurant. Plus two blocks to great shopping and street performers and artists of Royal Street. Fantastic restaurants and music everywhere! The hotel is beautifully furnished with a French flair and very quaint with brick walls and crystal chandeliers. Wonderful courtyard with an attractive small pool and plenty of seating. We had a room that looked out over Decatur St so saw an occasional impromptu parade but by 10 pm all was quiet. From our room you could see the Mississippi River in the distance and hear the riverboat's mournful horn. Just perfect!! Staff is friendly and accommodating to all of our needs!
Great Location, the unique design resulting from years of expansion utilizing historic buildings. We had our car parked and didn't move it for our entire stay.
The location was fantastic - walkable to everything in the French Quarter and along Canal Street. The room was small but attractive.
Noise was a bit of a problem - the floor of the room above us squeaked, so we were disturbed every time those above us walked around. We could also hear the t.v. of the room next door.
The location was superb. The pool while small, was quaint. Very comfortable beds. First room we had, was windowless, which was a definite drawback, but we were relocated, and really enjoyed the second room. Highly recommend this place. Excellent value
Location was perfect, within walking distance to all major attractions. Do not need to rent a car. The staff recommended great restaurants & a great place to have breakfast 'The Nola Grill", two blocks from the hotel. The courtyard was a great place to relax .
The hotel room was great but it could use better lighting. Also the location of the safe in the closet was so low that you needed to practically kneel in order to have access.
Walking distance to everything, unique hotel, surprisingly large room and bathroom
Trying to find it! Not advised about parking arrangements in advance, tiny little sign on hotel resulted in a lot of wasted time and frustration.
Great location. Steps to everything in the French Quarter. Our room faced the courtyard and was very spacious and quiet.
location was convenient to french quarter
completely understaffed; max one receptionist, so usually you have to wait - sometimes 15-20 minutes, if you need them to deal with something. Other problems: A/C loud, some weird dripping sound in bathroom vent that was never fixed despite us asking 3 times, some rooms don't have windows, even those with windows didn't have much light, rooms are small by US standards, one room had a really noisy exhaust fan outside the "window" (actually a skylight), one elevator was a bit dirty and dingy looking.
Great location and easy to get in and get to the room. The staff was very nice, accommodating, and down to earth. The hotel has a unique feel and they've quite effectively updated it without losing the old charm.
The hotel looks nice on the surface, but it is not as well kept as it might be. There are scuff marks on many of the walls and we had a bathroom light bulb out.
Right at the beginning of the French Quarter but no street noise once inside the building. Felt safe at night also. A beautiful well lighted entry led to friendly check-in staff. Large and Clean(!) rooms with king bed, lots of pillows, coffee pot, and large tv (never used). No windows made the room cozy, but there are plenty of lights if needed. Pay parking across the street or valet available, not much difference in price. This location was worth every penny.
Voices/cart movement in the hallway could be heard in the room. Consider using the door man to find your room, no directional signs and the numbers were not in order.
* Great location * Friendly staff * Very big room * Clean room
* Elevator sound (wake me up middle of the night a few times)
The location was fantastic! Several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Jackson Square, St. Louis cathederal. Bourbon Street, French Market, trolley all within easy walking distance. The room was very clean. Service was excellent.
Parking was very expensive.
Reasonably quiet and central. Comfortable beds and good shower.
Next to last day housekeeping did not do all they had done previous days-did not restock coffee for next morning
We enjoyed the location and the hotel! I loved the exposed brick in the newly remodeled rooms. Thank you!
