Outstanding location, just 2 blocks from Jackson Square and Bourbon St, but quiet at night. Fair price for New Orleans, very accommodating staff.
Our room was quite small, and there was no bureau to hold clothes, so we lived out of the suitcase. More importantly it had poor lighting, so it seemed cave like.
We loved the hotel, courtyard, room, and location within the French Quarter. Our room was quiet and comfortable and within easy walking distance of many good restaurants, jazz clubs, and other New Orleans attractions.
The room was nice, and the pool area was very relaxing.
Valet was slow, when I finally got my car the music was turned way up and so was the A/C on a 70 degree weather day. Seems like the guy took a joy ride in my car because I waited at least 35 minutes to get my car, not to mention I called 15 minutes in advance.
The pillows were wonderful
It would have been nice to have a window
location, nice peaceful courtyard, friendly staff, comfortable room, interesting historic property, friendly hotel cat
Loud party by the pool.
Loved spending time in the sprawling, charming courtyard. It was a wonderful place to relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere, before heading into the excitement of the French Quarter streets. Patrick the resident cat was usually around to greet us. Our room had a of character. The exposed brick was beautiful. Location was awesome, steps away from Jackson Square!!
Wish the pool had been heated. New construction of a coffee shop on location..... that will be a big plus!!
I loved the location and overall feel of the French Market Inn. It was very authentic and unique yet it still had modern conveniences. The staff were all very helpful and very friendly. I will definitely go here again for my next trip!
There wasn't anything I didn't enjoy.
Location, quirky room design, comfy beds, quite rooms only heard others when opened door, if you drive and need your car, allocate request time the staff will give time requirements.
Door hard to open because of humidity, room not restocked with fresh towels and bed not made all the way 3rd night
The location was great, one block from heart of the french quarter, but off the street enough that it was quiet at night.
Friendly and accommodating staff, room was gorgeous and spacious, perfect location and within walking distance of all the sights. Will definitely stay here again for my next visit!
Size of room was decent; location good; staff friendly
I'd asked for a quiet room but there was a buzzing noise all night which kept me awake (from generators outside my window). I tried to call reception three times but noone answered. Also just felt the room was a bit tired looking and not really worth the high nightly cost. Finally, it rained and my bedside table was flooded in the morning. My iPad had been on there and thankfully had a cover on it - otherwise I'd have had one very broken iPad!
No windows in the room and if you get a room with windows they don't open
they charged us $20 per child each day due to their age. Felt like that was extremely deceiving, then they stuck us in a room that was no bigger than a coat closet on Saturday night even though I had a reservation that was made in early Feb. Not a pleasant start to a vacation
Staff really helpful, happy to change my room for one with street view. Very helpful booking excursions and remembered to ask if I'd enjoyed them.
Some rooms have window very high up so no view, and rooms are a bit small, but this is inevitable in an old property in the Quarter.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The bellhop, Ben, went above and beyond to settle us in and even walked us to the street to show us directions.
There was brown hair all over the bottom of the shower when we got there.. I have blonde hair.
Free room upgrade, friendly staff
Staff glued to their electronics in public sight - maid making private calls, attendant with ear buds in
Perfect location for French Quarter touring. Staff very friendly, knowlegable, and helpful.
As a historic property, room was comfortable but cramped.
Location is ideal, hotel is very quaint and well-appointed.
The rooms are New York small. Only basic cable on the TV, no movies.
I loved the character of the room.
1. Staff best. 2. Ease of access and location. 3. Cleanliness. We will stay here again for sure!
Noisy elevator squeal and groan until after midnight. Needs fixing. Not a deal breaker. We will stay here again for sure.
Interior room was wonderfully quiet. Location was ideal to see all the sites in the French Quarter without needing a car.
Staff were always friendly
When we arrived we found out that we had a windowless room - very disappointed in this. Not only that we didn't have a view, this is a life-safety issue.
I liked the location. It was close enough to the attractions to enjoy but far enough away to relax. The room was clean. Staff was nice.
There were no microwaves or refrigerators access able to customers. The portions in the restaurants in the area serve huge portions. We had to throw food away.
