Cleanliness and location were both excellent .
Our room was tiny.
Great Location, the unique design resulting from years of expansion utilizing historic buildings. We had our car parked and didn't move it for our entire stay.
The location was superb. The pool while small, was quaint. Very comfortable beds. First room we had, was windowless, which was a definite drawback, but we were relocated, and really enjoyed the second room. Highly recommend this place. Excellent value
Location was perfect, within walking distance to all major attractions. Do not need to rent a car. The staff recommended great restaurants & a great place to have breakfast 'The Nola Grill", two blocks from the hotel. The courtyard was a great place to relax .
The hotel room was great but it could use better lighting. Also the location of the safe in the closet was so low that you needed to practically kneel in order to have access.
Walking distance to everything, unique hotel, surprisingly large room and bathroom
Trying to find it! Not advised about parking arrangements in advance, tiny little sign on hotel resulted in a lot of wasted time and frustration.
Great location. Steps to everything in the French Quarter. Our room faced the courtyard and was very spacious and quiet.
location was convenient to french quarter
completely understaffed; max one receptionist, so usually you have to wait - sometimes 15-20 minutes, if you need them to deal with something. Other problems: A/C loud, some weird dripping sound in bathroom vent that was never fixed despite us asking 3 times, some rooms don't have windows, even those with windows didn't have much light, rooms are small by US standards, one room had a really noisy exhaust fan outside the "window" (actually a skylight), one elevator was a bit dirty and dingy looking.
Great location and easy to get in and get to the room. The staff was very nice, accommodating, and down to earth. The hotel has a unique feel and they've quite effectively updated it without losing the old charm.
The hotel looks nice on the surface, but it is not as well kept as it might be. There are scuff marks on many of the walls and we had a bathroom light bulb out.
Right at the beginning of the French Quarter but no street noise once inside the building. Felt safe at night also. A beautiful well lighted entry led to friendly check-in staff. Large and Clean(!) rooms with king bed, lots of pillows, coffee pot, and large tv (never used). No windows made the room cozy, but there are plenty of lights if needed. Pay parking across the street or valet available, not much difference in price. This location was worth every penny.
Voices/cart movement in the hallway could be heard in the room. Consider using the door man to find your room, no directional signs and the numbers were not in order.
* Great location * Friendly staff * Very big room * Clean room
* Elevator sound (wake me up middle of the night a few times)
The location was fantastic! Several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Jackson Square, St. Louis cathederal. Bourbon Street, French Market, trolley all within easy walking distance. The room was very clean. Service was excellent.
Parking was very expensive.
Reasonably quiet and central. Comfortable beds and good shower.
Next to last day housekeeping did not do all they had done previous days-did not restock coffee for next morning
We enjoyed the location and the hotel! I loved the exposed brick in the newly remodeled rooms. Thank you!
Great location- near river and 5 minutes from streetcar on Canal; no rental car necessary.
I like how close it was to everything that I wanted to see. The room was historic looking, but just redone.
I was totally satisfied.
Stunning architecture and old world decor. Truly feels like you are in the old world New Orleans. Friendly staff. Walking distance to everywhere in the quarter and CBD. 10 minute drive to Garden District. Can't beat the charm and local.
Rooms are slightly smaller than "chain" hotels of the modern day - but that is also part of the buildings character.
Loved the friendly staff, comfy bed, newly remodeled tub/shower, and the location can't be beat. Just a couple blocks from Cafe du Monde and Bourbon St. Comfortable walking distance to the whole quarter. We used the hotel valet for our car, which was $31/day, but you could get your car in & out as many times daily as you wanted, which was nice (other lots charge you when you repark). The staff was more than willing to keep our bags on the checkout day while we explored the city again. Nice hot water in the shower, small but nice pool in the courtyard. Patrick (the resident courtyard kitty) is a fun and friendly fellow! Also, we stayed in an inside (windowless) King room, which we thought was small (as expected) but plenty big enough.... We loved the ability to sleep in as late as we wanted without the sunlight streaming in.
Wireless Internet was spotty connection. You can hear the maid service constantly on walkie talkies in the hallway from about 8:30a-10:30a. The tub drain plug was missing, so no bath available. Door to room needed to be shut a bit forcefully to close all the way (the place is historic, so this wasn't a huge deal to me but it was to my husband).
Wonderful, recently renovated room in charming hotel that was in a perfect location.
Location was best, walking distance to Burbon st and French Market; ambiance of the hotel was wonderful, housekeeping was excellent. Overall the staff were lovely, with 1 exception described elsewhere.
Just small inconviences: Room could use additional lighting; no shelf in shower for shampoo etc, had to keep bending up and down; room safe wouldn't open and it took a while for staff to come to fix, one desk clerk was a bit put off when asked to coordinate thr airport shuttle: complaining how this might not be doable and it was probably too late (I was told to book it the nite before, which it was) she was annoyed and let it be know. I was doing this in person at the front desk so someone else who was just leaving her shift, jumped in and took over. Eventually I spoke to the individual and she apologized and all was resolved. Also got a bad recommendation for restaurant: it was closed. Staff did not appear to be very knowledgable of restaurants.
Nice, clean and modern room. Staff friendly and helpful. Very nice pool area
No windows in our room
Awesome location in the French Quarter! Quaint building with a lovely courtyard. We felt safe and secure staying here.
Had to pay extra for off-site valet parking. I didn't anticipate this, but it kept our rental vehicle safe and off the streets overnight.
The location of this hotel was perfect. We were able to walk to Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street (which is much better than Bourbon if you're looking for live music) , and the Superdome from our hotel. There is an awesome pub right beside the hotel called Crescent City Brewhouse. We are there three times during our trip, and the wifi from the hotel reached the pub!
