The quietness - even the airconditioning was quiet! Comfortable large bed Little touches like tissues made into a flower on top of tissue box Old fashioned balcony looking into courtyard.
Great location, friendly staff, modern clean bathrooms, value for money
Walls are paper thin- you can hear everything
Everything was great.
I thought I was getting a room without windows, but we actually got lovely room with windows facing the courtyard. The price was very reasonable, much less than other friends were paying to be closer to Bourbon. I was very happy with the hotel. It's really charming.
The staff was amazing! They are so kinda and willing to answer any questions we had. And this being our first time to Nola we needed all the help we could get! The rooms are amazing...and the beds!! I tried to sleep my whole trip away. Thank you so much for helping make our trip amazing and we will see you in November! (Our rooms are already booked :))
Great location. Friendly staff.
Location was great
It was poorly managed room was dirty staff was rude
Bed and bathroom is great. Nice courtyard.
Probably cannot do anything about it since the building is old, but there was a mouse in the room. Also, the only ice machine seemed to be on the 1st floor.
Bed too hard
Best thing about the Hotel is the location. Everything worth seeing in the French Quarter is within 2-3 blocks. The hotel itself has antique-style decor with original 19th century exposed brick walls. You are reminded that you are in New Orleans even when you return to the room.
Parking. This is the price of its great location. The most convenient parking is directly across the street but its $45/day. If you're willing to walk several blocks, you can find cheaper. That is probably the best option if you don't plan on using your car in the city.
Awesome atmosphere. The hotel was in such a great location and close to just about everything in the French quarter.
Location was perfect...off Bourbon close to river. The court yard was really nice.
$30 per day parking!
We loved the quaint rooms and the whole feel of the hotel. We were looking for a hotel that had a vintage feel to it and this hotel met our expectations and more. The staff was very helpful and polite and the rooms were very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!
The parking was a little expensive.
staff was very accomdating
Location, facilities, design.
noisy AC, rooms too dark
Nice clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great location.
If the room had a fridge, it would have been perfect.
Amazing hotel! Would recommend 100%. Great staff, great hotel!
Our stay at the French Market in was wonderful! The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgable. This was the perfect location...just far enough from Bourbon Street, but still in the quarter. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! P.S. Megan and Nancy at the front desk were awesome!!!!!
I wish there were more than one ice maker....but that's it!
Atmosphere is great. Restoration is awesome. Room is cozy and comfortable. Very french!
With exception of desk clerk the rest of the staff does not convey a professional decorum. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. But the manager is great and quickly addressed our concerns.
The location was excellent - close to the steamboat Natchez, Johnny's Po-Boys, Bourbon St, Frenchmen St, the trolley cars and shopping. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The shower was powerful and refreshing. The staff on reception and front of house were lovely. The room was adequately sized and the pool was refreshing and in the shade; a welcome respite from the heat.
No wifi in our room, despite being given a wifi password. The hotel took $165 from my account three days before we arrived, despite the booking.com pages clearly stating that no deposit would be taken. This was taken from my British card, incurring currency charges - I had wanted to pay using a currency card. When I enquired about this, I was told that it was clearly stated in the email - it wasn't. Just beware of this. Parking is $28 but beware that tax is added, too. If you can, find your own parking and walk over. We were woken at 8.00am on a Sunday by two housekeepers using foul language right outside our room. Despite being asked politely and calling reception, this continued and we had to get up, forfeiting a lay-in. We weren't happy.
Great location! Reasonably priced! Comfortable room. Pleasant & helpful staff.
Nothing negative to say about the French Market Inn.
This place was the highlight of our stay in NO - the restaurants we ate at were nearly all mediocre despite good reviews as an attitude of we can get away with it seemed to pervade. This hotel stood out for it's service, the large courtyard for sitting out, proximity to the main French Quarter endroits and value for money. No doubt it is really expensive in festival season but it compared very favorably when we went midweek in July.
Location was great. Close to all tourist areas.
Valet staff and lobby staff was super nice. Always smiled and offered assistance.
Front desk staff very rude and abrasive. Booked 4 rooms a in April, apparently city taxes have changed since then. Charged more because of that which is understandable, however it took over 30 minutes for staff to figure it out. No compensation offered, just more money owed out of my pocket without prior warning. If I would have been paying for one room it wouldn't have been as bad as 4 rooms. Front desk staff definitely needs to work on their customer service.
