Distance from slopes.
Once again we decided to stay at the Fullerton and we brought some friends this time. Clean, cozy, and valuable. Rooms are clean and warm. A great way to disconnect with friends. There's a livingroom to sit and read in front of a fireplace along with a bar with a tv and good beers on tap.We dined in the bar restaurant this time and were pleasantly pleased from app to dessert. Last year we dined out in a blizzard only to have a sub par meal (local "steakhouse"). Stay in and enjoy the bar and food.
Not much here. Make your own waffles was a great addition to the free breakfast. Maybe some BACON?
Friendly staff, close to skiing and snow boarding, cute shops next door, pretty rural setting.
Food at the Inn was not that good and was expensive.
I liked the quaintness of the area...could walk around to shops, or hike in the mountains.
The owners were not very friendly...I think if you are in the hospitality business, you need to be more friendly to your customers.
This motel is very nice, warm and cozy. The personal was very friendly. There was a warm entrance-living room with sofas and a chimnea, with jazz background music. The breakfast was good.
The room was small and a bit overloaded in decor. But anyway, cozy and clean. The windows could not be opened.
The location is good and the food was very good. Laureen was very nice.
The room smelled musty.
Real fires, comfy sofas, great bed. Lovely breakfast room with waffle maker and everything you could want. Also great seasonal decorations added to our enjoyment of 'the Fall'.
Bedroom was quite small with very old-fashioned shower facilities (but still worked well enough). Host could have been more enthusiastic in welcoming guests to the Hotel?
Location and staff were excellent
No cooked breakfast. Happy to pay for it if offered
Town was charming, Room and common area was clean. Breakfast was good. It has a nice front porch gathering area. Very talented singer/performer in the bar area Friday night.
Very old facility, lots of stairs, Our room #1 was tiny, the bed took up almost all of it, small closet, bathroom very small, no TV in room. There was not even a TV in the Lobby!(one small one in breakfast area on only in the morning) Above average cost, the value was not good.
Good Value for the money spent. Restaurant excellent. Charming Inn
Bed mattress too soft.
Excellent dinner and breakfast Huge log fire and comfy sofas Ideal location on main street (quiet) Shops on doorstep Efficient and friendly staff
Nothing - wish we had been able to stay longer
Located on the charming main street of Chester. Staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room clean and comfortable. Good restaurant with outside eating area.
Limited parking on street nearby.
The restaurant was surprisingly good. The meals were well prepared, service good, and excellent value! Chester is a great little place to shop. My folks do not walk much and wonderful little shops were readily accessible to them.
The walls are thin....I heard loud snoring from next door. My room did not have adequate place to hang towels. There was very little place for toiletries. (On the up side, all of this contributed to old world charm and I found myself smiling shortly after grumphing.)
This was a very old building that had been brought up to date with a wonderful lobby as you enter the inn and a very hardy welcoming and a wonderful atmosphere of a small hotel which was exactly what we were looking for when we picked this property.
Can't think of anything we didn't like. Of course, the fixtures were older because it was an older building but the present proprietors have made this a great place for a relaxing and quiet visit.
Not much... The fall foliage outside was very nice.
Worn, beat up, and dirty. Noisey forced hot water heat system — our room went from 50 degrees to 80 degrees, back to 50 in the night. Very uncomfortable sleeping. Breakfast was coffee and muffins. Not a single healthy thing to eat.
food was good
WiFi signal strength was very low (and we tried every available network in different areas of the Inn) and speed was very slow. Not the friendliness place we have stayed at
The tavern with the folk singer Friday night was delightful, as was the complimentary breakfast the next day. The village is lovely and the revolutionary war cemetery across the street was beautifully kept up.
No elevator, kind of steep stairs to lug up your bags. Tiny bathroom.
Location - in heart of pleasant town.
Super clean, old fashioned but comfortable.
Food is very good, very tasty, and well presented. Staff is eager to please
Hotel is average at best. Internet not easy to access, no TV in room, breakfast is ordinary, rooms are small. To take a shower one should know what they will wash first, space is so small there is no room to change your mind once you get in shower
Continental breakfast, clean comfortable room, historic quaint setting,
We left our pillows in the room and the Inn sent them immediately to our home (without complaint). Also good food in the Inn restaurant.
Quite, relaxing, clean, good food; quaint inn with pleasant hosts and staff.
Mattress a bit saggy.
The room was lovely, the staff helpful. Loved the antiques!
Definitely the location.
I would recommend upgrading to a 2nd floor queen that accesses the balcony.
