Great location for price! Clean and great for sudden need for hotel
Rude Staff/ at the time of reservation I clearly mentioned that there were three adults in a room. And after we checked in at 11.00 pm we were told that they do not have roll in bed services. They were very rude and not helpful and the 3rd adult was made to sleep on the floor of the room as we couldn't not find another hotel at that time of the night. Checked out the next day and informed booking.com of their horrible treatment and booking.com intervened and got the rest of our stay reimbursed immediately. Never ever have we experienced such treatment anywhere else in the world and we travel abroad at least 6 times a year and we are hotel owners ourselves.
Room was pretty small for 3guests and luggage
Michael who worked in reception was an absolute gem!he helped us so much with directions and fantastic restaurant/bar locations.
no bad experiences.
The people, the atmosphere was nice too.
The internet. Worked for checking emails but was unable to Skype. Room on the small side.
This hotel was in the best location. Took the BART direct from the airport to Powell station (only 10 stops) and then a 3 minute walk to the hotel. In the middle of shops and close to all transport to get around. Staff were accommodating and the breakfast bar was a nice touch.
The staff was very nice and helpful, the bed was comfortable, the location-great, breakfast-availble, bathroom - clean.
Receptionist was abrupt, unfriendly with poor customer service skills. Room decor was tired Net curtains torn in a few places. Small en-suite with very noisy extractor fan which we were unable to turn off. Coffee maker in room. Would prefer kettle with the option of tea/hot choc instead. Noise from road. Also from approx 6 am there was a constant banging sound from upstairs rooms which continued until we left 3 hours later.
Great accommodation. Friendly staff. Top location.
The room was very old, noisy and dirty. The breakfast is very poor and located in a small room without any chairs and tables.
The ro was very dated and the hallway had a medicinal smell.
Comfortable bed, friendly staff, location.
Bed is small
Very good location, nice staff
Rooms facing street were noisy and the breakfast was a terrible setup with no fruit or protein selection, terrible instant coffee!
Location was great, close to everything. Beds were comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful
The rooms could have been a little bit bigger but everything else was fantastic!!
Location was great being on a block from Union station and all the shopping and eating opportunities at the doorstep. Staff was great and the room was always clean and well designed based upon space
If you are over 30 years old and can afford better - do it! This is barely a 3 star and the breakfast, although plentiful is 'Grab and go' from a room on 5th floor.
By and large, one notable exception the staff were polite and helpful. Good price but you get what you pay for and I will know for future in USA, 4* minimum! Caveat Emptore (buyer beware)
noise of extractor fans
The rooms could get a little hot and stuffy. One of the sheets had a very dodgy stain on it, which should never have been put out.
The location was good, and the staff friendly and helpful.
breakfast area was small with so many guests and some people electing to eat their breakfast in the room!! Optional bacon, sausage and eggs even for a payment would be excellent.
the bed, the clean room, housekeeping, free breakfast, pleasant manager Chad Putney and all the staff were so good. the manager was very considerate when rqeuested to have breakfast served earlier than 7am to attend convention... its very much in the city centre and it is well run. Joshn was so helpful to me when I arrived in helping me to recover my luggage left in the super shuttle by error. I'll stay here again without fail.
Room was very basic
Breakfast was poor, could be suppressed for a discount in the daily rate. Only one elevator at the building, so sometimes it can take a little longer to come up or down.
Placed two blocks away from Union Square, Muni transportation available to main touristic places, good restaurants and cafes all around. Great bathroom, great cleaning service. Friendly staff.
There should be a disclaimer about risks associated with the hotel being on (or very close to) skid row. The strong stench of urine and constant harassment by homeless persons and/or junkies almost ruined our trip. The floor that our room was on also had quite an interesting odor.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Also, the hotel is positioned nicely within the Tenderloin goings on.
The bed was pretty hard and the sheets were pilling and not soft. The sink is outside of the bathroom, which is kind of strange but not a deal breaker. The free breakfast is bland pastries and bagels (fine for a quick meal, but nothing special). Overall it's a very small room, but that didn't really matter because we were only there to sleep and shower.
The location is pretty nice; just a few feet from a cable car stop. The front desk people were all nice and helpful (although we didn't have excess requests or anything. The best part is that our room had both a ceiling fan and an AC unit, so we could control the temperature and air circulation perfectly.
we got a room without natural ventilation, lot of noise from backyard
good position, fair price
33 dollars a night for parking
the room was tiny with a miniscule bathroom. Not friendly to girls with a lot of products. cleaning maids didn't do much, left the plates from breakfast lying around. creaky and hard bed
best location for the price, close enough to hear the bells of the cable cars. great staff. good room for young couples. Cool night club next door.
