Score from 471 reviews Very good
The location is excellent, near everything. The staff was super dedicated. The room is nice, with a good bed, fridge, amenities, iron, etc. I think this hotel is great for anyone traveling for business or vacations to SF.
My room was located near the elevator and I could hear people talking late night. The air conditioning was a little bit loud, but works fine.
Location perfect ,staff very friendly and happy to answer every question.
There is nothing we disliked
The locality.fantastic breakfasts. Endless hot drinks availability.
The darkness of the room. The noise from water pipes. The fact that you could not open any Window for fresh air. Air con too noisy to sleep with.
Very good location, clean comfortable hotel. A/C works well
Small room, but still reasonable for downtown. Pricey, but again, reasonable for down town. Didn't try the breakfast.
Location was good Staff very friendly Great sushi restaurant over the road
Room was very hot and the air-con was extremely loud Minimal natural light in the room Very noisey (housekeeping, club next door)
Location, very close to Union Square and Market Street.
The behavior of the staff. I received a very bad service when I arrived the woman leave waiting for a long time because she was talking to a couple and when I check-out I asked to call a taxi and the guy insisted to me use a "driver" from the hotel. As I refuse, I had to wait more then half a hour for the taxi.
Besides being in a great location, the rates are reasonable and the staff is very nice.
Excellent location literally a one minute walk from Powell Street BART station makes travel from SFO airport a breeze. Union Square is a two block walk.
Noise from restaurant air vent was intrusive and lasted till 4am.
good location, staff was very helpful and nice, room was clean and well equipted
Fantastic location near Union Square just off Powell Street. Friendly and helpful staff, great facilities and the "grab and go" breakfast was a bonus.
Excellent location and well appointed room. They gave away the room we had booked for the kids but gave us an extra room (1 each) at no extra charge.
Let down by the room being very hot (in 75 degree weather) and very noisy. The next door nightclub was audible all night and also loud people in nearby rooms. Reception often crowded and chaotic. Only gave us decaf coffee in room. At the price level if you cannot actually sleep well, it's not doing its job as a hotel.
Beds were great. Location convenient to cable car, Union Square, Chinatown. Staff very helpful.
Bathroom way too small. Lobby down a long hallway & not very attractive. Valet parking only option & expensive at almost $ 40 a night.
Safe walking to theaters and restaurants
Rooms were were very tiny
The location is excellent, no more than two minute walk from the Powell Street BART station, the Powell-Hyde and Powell-Mason cable cars, and the department stores and shops on Union Square and Market Street. Although you have to collect your breakfast from a room on the 5th floor and take it back to your own room to eat it, the actual offerings are pretty reasonable. Compared with the cost of other hotels in San Francisco, it is reasonably priced. They also allowed me to check out late without paying any extra.
The whole hotel feels somewhat cramped, with the ground level consisting only of a narrow corridor leading from the main entrance to a small reception area, and with breakfast being served from a very tiny room on the on the 5th floor which can get awkward when there are more than two or three people in there at once. Whilst the beds are comfortable and rooms are perfectly clean, the rooms are a bit on the small side. Mine faced the inner courtyard and was a bit dark and dingy, with partly frosted glass on the one small window which couldn’t be opened and a noisy window air conditioning unit. The lack of a table also made eating breakfast there awkward. The rooms provide a perfectly acceptable place to sleep at night, but they are certainly not a place where you would want to spend time chilling and relaxing.
Close to the Moscone centre Good sized bathroom
Noisy ceiling fan which was also causing the ceiling light to flicker. A bit too warm without the fan A bit Noisy when you open the window Room very small Nothing was done when I made above complaint to reception staff.
Location convenient to BART for early flight out of SFO, lots to do within walking distance or via trolley.
Didn't care for the hard bed and I don't sleep on a soft bed but, this was over the top "firm".
huge bathroom (although the sink was impressively tiny), comfortable bed, easy accessibility and central location, it's good for a stop-over
WiFi was not working stable, continental breakfast (but being used to European hotel breakfast, that's a cultural issue), the room had only a window into the 5x5m inner courtyard, so the room was rather dark
awesome location very nice breakfast
one small gripe - elevator was a bit slow, otherwise all good
The sparse front staff was friendly but over-worked. Small rooms with little closet space. Poor breakfast choices laid out in a room the size of the average walk in closet with no place to sit down to eat felt like a cattle call every morning. The "Fusion Lounge" was not attached to the hotel (that I could find) and so did not offer an amenity for the average guest. Not worth the price.
- the location - the room - the airco - the breakfast
- to have breakfast in your room
Very helpful friendly staff.
Room was cramped. Banged my shins constantly.
Location was perfect for getting around and seeing the city. Hotel was spotless, room was quiet and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. We would definitely return.
Not a thing.
Our room was on the fifth floor, so it was quiet.
The bed was hard - we requested a king, got a double. Room was small. We had problems with the card key in the elevator. Taxi service sucked - they wouldn't stop for our friend in a wheelchair. We won't be back!
The location is perfect. We were within walking distance of everything. Despite other reviews the staff was helpful and extremely friendly. Breakfast was plentiful. Our room a double bed and the perfect size. Being in San Francisco I knew nights would still be a little loud and as long as you go in with the expectations of being in a loud city you won't be disappointed.
I have no complaints!
The location was great. You are at the centre of everything. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The rooms were a little on the small side, but still, thy had everything you needed.
