Room was very basic
Placed two blocks away from Union Square, Muni transportation available to main touristic places, good restaurants and cafes all around. Great bathroom, great cleaning service. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was poor, could be suppressed for a discount in the daily rate. Only one elevator at the building, so sometimes it can take a little longer to come up or down.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Also, the hotel is positioned nicely within the Tenderloin goings on.
There should be a disclaimer about risks associated with the hotel being on (or very close to) skid row. The strong stench of urine and constant harassment by homeless persons and/or junkies almost ruined our trip. The floor that our room was on also had quite an interesting odor.
The location is pretty nice; just a few feet from a cable car stop. The front desk people were all nice and helpful (although we didn't have excess requests or anything. The best part is that our room had both a ceiling fan and an AC unit, so we could control the temperature and air circulation perfectly.
The bed was pretty hard and the sheets were pilling and not soft. The sink is outside of the bathroom, which is kind of strange but not a deal breaker. The free breakfast is bland pastries and bagels (fine for a quick meal, but nothing special). Overall it's a very small room, but that didn't really matter because we were only there to sleep and shower.
good position, fair price
we got a room without natural ventilation, lot of noise from backyard
33 dollars a night for parking
best location for the price, close enough to hear the bells of the cable cars. great staff. good room for young couples. Cool night club next door.
the room was tiny with a miniscule bathroom. Not friendly to girls with a lot of products. cleaning maids didn't do much, left the plates from breakfast lying around. creaky and hard bed
no place to sit and eat breakfast. they've a small room with food that you have to take into the room to eat. Parking too expensive.
My room has a bath tab. Find cheapest rate so you can justify all negatives at this hotel.
Your action is heard by guests next room as thin wall. Floor has no sound insulation. You will hear TV sound of two rooms away. Bring ear plugs which will definitely help.
Loved the beds, it was clean and location was perfect
the girls in the room next to us were noisy, thin walls and the room was tight. They should remove or rearrange some furniture
Advertised AIRPORTSHUTTLE. But cost was $32 round trip.
We enjoyed San Fran and Michael Wu at reception was brilliant he pointed out all we needed to know and made us feel very welcome.
Needs a smoking area not just on the street. Breakfast room was like being part of a flock of seagulls at the dump, first in first serve carry on.
In the heart of the Union Square action! Lots of cool places in the same block. Room has a safe. Staff were very nice.
Paper thin walls. Rooms are quite small. Need to raise the bar on the breakfast offerings.
Staff was nice
Small room hard bed
Location was fine but there are plenty of others.
Loud, elevator had problems, room was next to elevator which was being worked on with drills etc. early Sunday morning. Tiny rooms, look bigger in the pics. Got two small beds instead one big one as we had ordered. Plenty more...
Location and wi-fi.
The breakfast was a joke.
The hotel is close to union square and the rooms were quiet.
Only a small window in the bath room can be opened, thus it is hard to get fresh air into the room. The air conditioning is really loud. A kind of carpet perfume is used, easy to get headache from.
Huge noise from different facilities located close to room (outside and inside buildings).
The club next door and the traffic it creates on the sidewalk outside.
the rooms the smell the dirty carpet the sink inside the room the view and the noise
The location was perfect, just a street off Market Street. And even though the hotel is very basic it was one of the cleanest hotel I stayed in. A bit off a push to call it a boutique hotel.
Nothing bad with this hotel.
