Staff Location Pet Friendly 3rd floor terrace outdoor jogging track/doggy walk Availability of complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby Complimentary wine hour (although we didn't get to take advantage of it) Not much spare space in room - lots of furniture Desk chair had a base that stuck out into the area we walked and was in the way - my husband and I bumped toes on it several times Bathroom was very small albeit modern - could barely turn around

Hotel decor and staff service were great. Staff were very helpful with getting around the city and child friendly. Very convenient location - we could walk pretty much everywhere. Nice but tiny bathroom to service 4 people. Wireless Internet had serious issues but understand that they have since implemented an upgrade of this service

Although the internet was not working my entire 3-night stay, it didn't seem to stop the staff from telling everyone upon check-in, "And we offer free internet!" Being connected is not a luxury, it's a necessity. Although the staff was friendly, they seemed to think that lack of internet was just an inconvenience. I will not stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Upgraded our room since they were full. Stylish decor. Well maintained premises. Reasonable price for location. Shower a bit small but adequate. Fitness room could use an upgrade on equipment. A bit further away from restaurants than other downtown hotels.

Loved the cleanliness of the room, the bathrooms are newly renovated so they were very modern and nice. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful, they were there to help around the clock. It was extremely convenient to walk everywhere because the hotel was really central and just down the street from Union Square. The actual room was small but was still comfortable, we didn't stay in the room much so this didn't bother us--it was cozy.

Loved the outdoor walking track on the 3rd floor; very peaceful and nicely done. Our room appeared to be one of the ones that was upgraded recently. The fixtures were very well done and bed very comfy. The room was on the small side, but it is an older renovated hotel and besides how much room do you need anyway when you're only in the room to sleep! : ) Additionally the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Galleria to friends and family. Some sort of notice or information regarding the Financial District and the closing of most restaurants on Saturday's and Sunday'S. This is crazy to us, but understand considering that most of their traffic and patrons are those who work in the area and not necessarily from tourists. We woke up Saturday morning excited to try a Deli we saw nearby and were really disappointed to learn that they were closed among others. It really is a ghost town in this area on a weekend. I would highly recommend staying in the area during the week and not on a weekend.

The most redeeming quality of the hotel is the staff. I expected much more 'style' and luxury considering the price. It is really just another of the many 'boutique' hotels around Union Square, perhaps a bit more recently renovated, but not in any meaningful way. The bathroom was extremely basic, and the soaps typical.

I liked that this hotel was less than a minute from my office. It seemed to have all the facilities that you might expect from a hotel of its class. Several things. I understand they are renovating certain floors and the bathrooms, etc. That's fine - none of that inconvenienced me. I feel like as a hotel you only have one responsibility and that is to provide a quiet room. People were chatting in the hallways until after midnight and you can hear every word inside. I would never confront fellow travelers about their noise level. Also, when room service came around in the morning, the cart sounding like the Indiana Jones ball-of-death. I work until 11pm so I tended to "try" to stay in. Needless to say, did not sleep well. That makes me sad because the hotel certainly looked nice and everyone who worked there was kind to me.

The location was good, the hotel was very central and easy for us to get to when walking about San Francisco. One of the reasons we booked the hotel was because it had a fitness facility that I could use when I woke up before my husband (as we we're travelling from the uk and I suffer from jet lag). I woke up on the 1st day and went to the 2nd floor at 6am only to find that it was out of bounds, I went to reception to enquire and the receptionist couldn't advise if the gym was unavailable to use so I went by what the signs advised and didn't go. I was disappointed that we weren't advised at check in so I didn't have to go to the bother of getting ready at 6am.

A surprise!. The hotel have a spectacular location between Union Sq and Financial District, so can you walk. Design, big and comfortable rooms, staff very friendly and available for everything. In the afternoons have wine testing. I just stay 1 night, but when will come back to SFO absolutely back. The relationship between price and quality is one of the best of the bay.

The hotel was in a great location, with all the sights easily accessible. The room did not have a view as many look onto each other in the centre of the building. This made the room very dark.

The hotel is in the financial district which doesn't have many homelesses around and at the same time is just two blocks away from Union Square. It's in walking distance to the most turistic places. I loved the terrasse on the 3rd floor. The room wasn't the biggest one, but honestly it wasn't so small either. Try to get a room on a heigher floor or on the courtyard to avoid the noise coming from the street.
