The location was perfect. In between the financial district and Union Square. Not to crowded but easy to walk to Union Square, Chinatown, Columbus and Market Streets. And an awesome restaurant connected to the hotel.

The staff At check out an employee who had been very helpful and friendly (Zach) stopped to chat with me on his way in to work. The young man working to check me out at the desk (not sure of his name - working at noon on 7/29/11) reprimanded Zach for talking to me (said he was talking too loudly) - which embarassed both of us - not cool - but this employee was the exception to my overall great review of the staff.

The suite was lovely and spacious, the staff friendly and helpful. The facilities were well maintained and the location to Union Square and on was perfect! WiFi was terrible. Avoid the foldaway bed at all costs if you want a good night of sleep!

From the minute we arrived, we felt welcome. Great staff who go the extra mile. Perfect location. Walk to Union Square & Chinatown, easy access to the cable cars and only 5 minutes easy walk to the bart which takes you right to the airport for us$8.10 - very easy to negotiate. The happy hour from 5.30-6.30 is a real bonus. Excellent wines and a great opportunity to meet other guests. The Japanese restaurant on site serves exquisite food & Although the rooms are "compact". They are very comfortable and we would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again. The only downside was - we couldnt stay longer!

Shh! Don't tell everyone, great hotel!....we enjoyed the helpful staff, comfortable bed, free wine tasting of california wine, easy access from the airport via Bart and easy access to Fishermans Wharf via cable car. Going to dinner at Belden Lane recommended by staff was a winner.

We were 3 couples from New Zealand stopping over for 2 nights in San Francisco after 2 weeks skiing in Steamboat Springs. We all loved the hotel - the friendly welcome & helpful information from the staff, the interior decor & history & the wonderful local wines served each afternoon. The position was perfect for shopping & dining & we used the cable car to explore Fishermans wharf from where we hired bikes & biked across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. The rooms are compact but have everything you need including gorgeous linen, big flat screen TV & a coffee maker. We would definately like to return.

Rooms were pleasantly furnished and comfortable. Amenities very nice. Beds great. Rooms small but adequate and to be expected in this age hotel, which was chosen for ambience. Love wine in the afternoon Hallway artwork is rather strange

the staff was amazing-superior customer service-we were always greeted by our name and felt at home-we have never stayed at your hotel and enjoyed our visit-thanks to grant and the amazing lady who greeted us(long hair and so efficient) our room(#321) was very uncomfortable due to the noise outside.we heard the sanitation trucks at 3:00am,etc. if we return,i will request a room on a higher floor and on the inside

Excellent city location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good size room with safe and free wifi. The happy hour wine in the lobby was much appreciated and a nice touch. Room was a tad warm even after we'd turned off the heating and opened a window. Didn't expect that in December.

The interior design of the hotel impressed me the most as it did my teenage nephews. They called it "hipster style." We all had a great time staying there because of the luxury, location and price. We took plenty of pictures posing in the lobby. I could not ask for more. None. Everything was perfect!

The location of the hotel was perfect. I absolutely loved the roof top garden, it was a great place to relax after walking around the city all day. The modern and luxurious look was beautiful, a perfect little boutique hotel tucked away in the big city. The hotel staff didn't seem very knowledgable about hotel/operation. When I asked for the hotel to call to have a cab waiting, they refused. When I called and asked about business center rates the attendant said he didn't know the answer because he never really goes there. When I was checking out, the agent overcharged my credit card, maxing my limit, forcing me to use another form of payment and wait for my funds to return to my credit card in 3-5 business days.

The location was perfect, once the car was parked it stayed there for our entire stay. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and the complimentary wine hour a nice thing to offer.

Front desk was very helpful with suggestions on restaurants and how to get there. Lobby wine reception was a treat as well as good coffee and tea in the morning. Well decorated and great location. Wll stay there again on business trips.
