    Location

    Bathroom shower was to hard and went all over floor was not nice at all room 114 you might want to check it

    Location, Facilities, Rooms

    F&B outlets average, staff attitude not always best, outlets good be a lot more dynamic. Staff at outlets are not very helpful and not welcoming.

    Lobby, Bars, pool, and Rooms were terrific. we only had a snack at the pool but it was delicious. Views from pool and even our room were gorgeous. Very clean and modern. We were a short cab ride from our show on Broadway and there were tons of great breakfast and superb dinner spots within 2 blocks. We would definitely return.

    The only negative was the mattress. I was expecting the ultra luxurious "hotel" mattress but slept on what felt like a standard coil.

    Drunks on the bedroom floor ... Room was near lift 3rd floor. Bouncers on door not very friendly even though we are guests

    The Staff was hit and miss, some were very helpful while others acted as if they were bothered by speaking to me.

    From previous reviews, I must have stayed at a different hotel. There was more then a few things wrong with this hotel, but the main offenders, the cigarette smoke smell getting pumped into our room everyday from the AC and the attitude of some of the hotel staff. The bar at the top of the hotel is a pretty hot spot and the staff acted like they were bothered half the time. Third is the rooms, they were clean and pretty nice, but not worth the money. I go to NY 3-4 times a year and there are much nicer hotels for less. Finally, the one and only room service order I had was incredibly bad, tasted like frozen food that had been re-heated twice.

    The service and atmosphere were fabulous! Pool area rooftop was the best and great service there as well! Taking evening walks was easy and fun! Definately will return!!

    I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GANSEVOORT AND IM FROM NEW YORK BROOKLYN! EVERY STAFF WAS GREAT. I FELT SO WELCOMED AND THE POOL ON THE ROOF WITH THE DJ WAS FANTASTIC!! I LOVED BEING IN THAT ENVIRONMENT! I CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN THIS WEEKEND!! IM SO HAPPY I CAN AFFORD SUCH A FABULOUS PLACE! OUR NEW HANGOUT SPOT! THANKS GUYS!

    The Gansevoort is an excellent hotel well situated in its particular area and opposite Soho House which is useful. The staff are very nice. The restaurant is not particularly interesting but there is no shortage of restaurants in the area. The pool is good and the views excellent.

    It would be great if the pool area and bar were not open to people who are not hotel guests but that is part of the way the hotel operates. The problem is that people seem to come to stay for a fun-filled weekend and then stay up until the early hours. On Thursday evening we had about an hour of shouting and door opening and closing between 2 and 3 am on our floor which was supposed to be a quiet one. The hotel's answer to this is that you need to tell reception who will sort it out. The problem with that is that you need to wake yourself up properly and ring them up and your real hope is that they will just run out of energy. The Friday night was quiet and on Saturday there was some noise, we called reception and it seemed to go away. The answer is that if you want a guaranteed quiet stay avoid this hotel and stay somewhere that doesn't provide similar facilities.

    Seeing the Kardashians rove in and out of the hotel.

    No water all afternoon on Friday . They closed the upstairs pool/bar for a private party on one of our 3 nights. That's not right!

    Loved the location, It was my partners birthday and the staff put cakes and prosecco in our room as a extra surprise. Loved the bar. Staff were very friendly

    Cost of drinks were a little high.

    1) Overpriced which I wouldn't have minded if it came with the right kind of service. We Were paying 750$ a night and basically checked in a night earlier to guarantee an early check in the next morning- but on departure they would not extend us any option for a late check out which i found completely unacceptable. We had been requesting this late check out since checking in- even offering us another room would have been better then the 13:00 check out they gave us with a threat to charge us half a day if we extend even 5 minutes- I just thought it was just really inappropriate. Our flight was at 11:00pm. 2) even though we specifically asked them NOT to charge the credit card on file as it is a company card- we were wanting to pay cash... They 'still' checked us out on my corporate card which was incredibly annoying and frustrating.

    in some places, small hotels or b&bs describe themselves as a "restaurant with rooms". A fair description of this hotel is to call it a "nightclub with rooms". The area is full or bars and energy. Sitting by the pool on a sunday afternoon teatime, is to sit next to the pulsating bar - great if that's what you want.

    Breakfast is held in a room that feels like its the bar from the evening before, and the morning-after feel extends to the lighting, the smells and the staff.
