Nowhere to have breakfast apart from room. Nightclub atmosphere in the lobby
location and roof top pool

Absolutely loved the roof top pool , lounge and bar .

property is tired and in need of an upgrade/rehab. furniture in rooms was nicked, fridge didn't work (but the repair man told me it did), smelled of cigarettes and stale beer, elevator floors were sticky. this was once a "new, happening" hotel. it now caters to annoying young tourists, is over priced and disgusting.

I stayed in room 903 Each shower floods all the bath room. The Shower towells are tiny.
Very welcoming staff Great location Wonderful time at the rooftop pool

The lift needs to be controlled for people not staying in hotel but using roof top bar. Far too long waiting for people who could not afford hotel but using the roof top bar. The breakfast is a waste as they do not serve proper English tea ! Resident should be more important that wannabe using lift to get to roof top ! Real disappointment
The hotel ..

The location is a bit noisy - always a party around and at night the noise is a bit of a problem. The hotel supplies ear plugs :-). I had no trouble sleeping like a baby but my wife was unhappy with the 24X7 party.

One night there was noise from a party on a floor above us
We flew in from CA on a red eye flight and the hotel allowed for an early check in at 7:30 am

The breakfast was bad and The service slow and uninterested. It was like they did not believe in it. The interior and location of The restaurant was also boring.
The location and service is really nice. Also Of course The rooftop bar with the pool is fantastic.

They stopped serving complimentary coffee after 7am. They had a lot of things in the room for sale.
The room is a good size and comfortable.

Too many 20's something going nuts on drugs. The fact that every single thing in the room is about consumption, I had to ask if i could use the schampoo since i wasn't sure weather i'd be charged for it. Not a nice feeling cos the rooms weren't cheap.
April 14, 2015
The room looked like a CVS with all sorts of products for sale displayed including cosmetics, sex toys, everything. Even women's panties.

The location. Close to the Highline and major nightlife venues, simply amazing. I was upgraded at the check-in, which was a great birthday present for me. Loved the room, especially the speakers and the mirror.

Got severe rash from the over chemicaled water in the spa Jacuzzi. With a very little compensation. The Hotel is quite dated and run down in general. The spa is awful. The rooftop pool full of trash like cigarette paper and cocktail straws.... not fun to swim around in.
I liked that they gave us two queen beds traveling with a friend. The location is good,

The bar and pool are is a party place, great for singles. Watch out for the hen party weekends.
Great location and staff were brilliant.
March 26, 2015
Bed was lumpy and beyond its useful life. No accessible rooms with roll in shower.
Location, helpful staff and great rooftop bar.
March 24, 2015
The attention to detail on behalf of the staff is extraordinary! And the location couldn't be better, right in the heart of it all.
March 24, 2015
You have to pay for everything! Nothing is included, not even tea and coffee! And if you did want a coffee there was no milk.
Great shops, bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel. Hotel was very trendy and the room was a great size.
March 23, 2015
Didn't like that the coolest things in the room you had to pay for.As far as coffee.. Why only use 1 illy cup if more people stayed in room? Wished some amenities weren't so pricey. But that basically is the only thing I can seem to say I disliked.
I loved everything!!! The rooftop, the rooms, your security guards are wonderful and very respectful.
March 22, 2015
TWO MINOR MINOR issues: the stream at the shower is too weak... and the queen size bed was too small...there was enough room to fit king size bed..
We live in New York city and we have been coming to the Gansevoort for the past 7 years, several times per year to stay one night..we love it. The atmosphere at the lobby is great, the roof top DJ is great! we usually come in the summer and the pool is amazing- but this time it was too cold .....we never bring the kids with us..but this next time, I belive we will also bring the kids and take a bigger room.
