Staff of Concierge: Sean, Sana & Abraham are of great assistance
Pool - when quiet Bed & pillows Size of room Staff Location Clean
Very nice swimming pool. The teens loved the feast atmosphere at the pool bar. Loud and young new york crowd overdrunk there (early evenning). May be kind of shocking for families.
Great location, lovely rooftop pool, v large rooms!
The pool and outside balcony was nice. Room was very spacious and clean.
Food wasn't that great. Very noisy... Noise starts at 7:30am and doesn't stop:(
The location is good to start visiting NY, but it is not near the best places to go out in the evening.
Staff: poor quality of welcome, and completely impersonal, never a good morning or other welcomes. The size of the room in the back of the hotel, small, no light, and noisy. Bad breakfast. The pool and the top roof, small pool, not very clean. The hotel did a reception in the roof top and after 7 pm all the people from that reception went to the pool area were guest from the hotel were quiet reading.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Its gorgeous. The bedrooms were beautiful, very quiet and had the comfiest hotel beds I've ever encountered.
Travelling with kids we weren't allowed to go to the pool bar after 7pm and sometimes the pool was closed for private events
Extraordinarily accommodating staff. They went above and beyond to make us happy.
Room - ridiculously comfy huge bed, large powerful shower, all the facilities you could want. Neat rooftop swimming pool with views of the Empire State, shame we didn't actually get to use it! Good location right near the metro and midway between all the usual tourist spots. Easy to get cabs there top. The staff - the concierge Shaun was amazing, got us into a load of great restaurants, bars and clubs with little notice and always with a free drink or dessert. The staff in general were super helpful and friendly.
A few small things in the room could be improved - there was no fan in the bathroom. There was no mirror in the bedroom other than in the bathroom, not ideal when you have a group of girls all showering and getting ready at the same time! The blinds didn't block out all the light, which I wouldn't usually mind about, but the gap at the edge sent light directly to the pillow end of the bed, so I needed to use an eye mask. The extortionate price of drinks and snacks both in the room and at the bar. $8 for a bottle of water! Thank goodness we were in a country where we could drink the tapwater...
- excellent staff: starting with doorman, to reception, concierge, pool staff, waitress, etc. - rooftop pool: amazing view of Empire State Building while enjoying - rooms have high ceilings - beds are very comfortable
- Friday morning I was woke up at 7 AM due to the drilling noise. I reported it at the front desk and they took care of it really quickly (it turned that the noise was coming form the next building) - Sunday morning at 3 AM I was woken up by the noise of people partying in the hotel after the bar was closed. After I phoned reception security resolved situation within a minute - music in the rooftop bar is very loud, which i would not mind that much if i were not there with a small kid (I was not in the bar, but you need to get through the bar to reach the rooftop pool) All in all, there are some bad things, but staff took care of all problems in a professional manner, and resolved problems quickly .
We enjoyed our total experience at this ideally located Midtown location. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Manhattan and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a classy hotel.
There was no coffee in the room, but there was a great store right across the street with fresh fruit and hot take out meals.
Liked the pool area, bar and our suite was very spacious and comfortable. Staff was awesome!!
The carpets in our room 1216 had a musty nasty smell to them. That was the only bad thing I have to say. Everything else was awesome!!
We had a fabulous time in your hotel. We were given a lovely room with a balcony which just topped the experience. The pool was beautiful and the staff were really helpful and made you feel really special and treated you so respectfully. I cannot speak more positively about your hotel and cannot wait to stay in your other locations. Given my length of stay in New York and the need for a twin room, I had to budget my stay and unfortunately had to move on after three days to another (slightly cheaper hotel) - there is no comparison and I wish I didn't have to move. I honestly felt spoilt and indulged.
Rooftop bar and sun deck
the location and the pool
rooms too small pool too small and crowded pool bar too expensive and poor quality - tea with no tray, no sugar, no milk etc, literally a cup of tea by itself for $7! if you leave the pool at 7pm after swimming you have to walk through crowds of suited and booted business people to get to the lift .... just too weird!
Rooftop pool! Good restaurant. Procecco in our room on first days stay. (Complimentary)
Nothing. Everything was great.
Staff and rooms
A bit difficult to access parts of Manhattan on metro (many different lines required)
We have stayed at this hotel 8 times in the past 2 years. We were SO disappointed in our room. It didn't even have a sofa. We asked to move and were given another room that was only a bit larger. After so many times staying at this property and no loyalty programs, we won't stay there again
Good location, luxurious rooms for the money. The bell boys were invariably fantastic and enthusiastic.
Some of the managerial staff were unbelievable unhelpful, and made me feel like I owed them something.
Perfect location for some days in the apple. Friendly staff, stylish and clean rooms, hip rooftop bar and pool to hang out after some sightseeing or shopping, perfect location to go up or down Manhattan, drugstore and some ok eats are close. We missed nothing but some days more. We'll return for sure.
Mattress was a bit to soft for my taste.
Loved the room size and the pool. Very clean Hotel with friendly staff. Good location.
Didn't like the wifi and the price. We had four devices to connect but could only manage to connect one. New York hotels are expensive! Asked to stay an extra couple of hours after checkout as we had a baby and they wanted to charge us half the room cost, they ended up giving us one extra hour, it helped but would of been nice to get two considering we stayed for one week!
Bellhop was great getting the doors n luggage immediately at arrival n departure. Ice bucket was filled upon arrival.
Wifi wouldn't connect. Coffee should be complimentary not a paid item in the room along with snacks.
I loved everything about this hotel and will be returning!
