Hotel wasn't clean,bad smell
LOCATION AND PRICE
OLD BUILDING SMALL ROOM VERY LOW HOT WATER
No hot water in the morning. Elevators were dirty.
Staff eating their breakfast at the same place as the guest. Breakfast options very limited (maybe because staff had already eaten?). Poor management is everywhere obvious.
It was a nice little hotel, for the location. I went for the night with my boyfriend, checking in was very easy as well as checkout. They have a continental breakfast which was easy to get and no one bothered us at all. The front desk was never rude and always kind when I called to ask a question.
My complaint is not with the hotel but wuth "Bookings.com".. Why not give us the price that we'll be required to pay when we reach there. Excluding the taxes when you give me the final price doesn't help since the hotel will require you to pay the taxes, so what's the point of not including that in your confirmation email to us? Also, the hotel told me the room I booked (which was a suite) has been unavailable for months, so why did "booking.com" allow me to book the room?! Thankfully the hotel had no problem finding another room and giving me the difference in prices. "Bookings.com" needs to get their details together.
Walking into the hotel the lobby was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable.
Walking into the room you would have thought you were in a box. In the bathroom the sink didn't have any cold water running the water pressure for the toilet was extremely low and the shower had no hot water, we called for maintenance the guy came said it was fixed in which it wasn't. The coffee maker in the room was extremely disgusting. They pictured the room having a flat screen it was on of the old box tv and ever other channel was static. The following morning it looks as if the lower level is an homeless shelter . This hotel would never get my stay again
friendly and helpful staff, clean and generally comfortable rooms.
water pressure at the top floor was sometimes too low to take a shower, WiFi was slow, parking was on-street only (although easy to find).
Convenient stop for people in standby at JFK. Friendly reception 24/24. Flexible with delays and times of arrival. Free shuttle to airport terminals. Nice room.
Breakfast is worst than in the Army and there is no water pressure in the showers. Shower was a disappointment.
Do Not Ever Try to Go down for Breakfast. Forget it..
convenience to airport- made travel easy
There isnt no food in this place, and everything is too far
The shuttle was so quick and comfortable, the hotel was very comfortable and the service was quite nice.
First of all, they do not explain how to arrive to the shuttle area, and if you have not ever been there is quite complicated. Then the breakfast could be earlier or 24h because it is an hotel near to the airport. Finally, we lost something on the room and we had emailed them but we had got no answer.
- lousy shuttle service from airport - had to wait almost 1 hour.
5 min from Newark
Terrible crew. The shuttle left us waiting 1 hour at the cold (on the phone, the reception said the shuttle would arrive in 15 min); When the shuttle finally arrived, the driver was rude, smelling alcohol, and threw our luggage in the back of the van so hard that it broke a bottle of shampoo. Then 30 min waiting at the reception for checkin, and we starved, as the hotel has no restaurant and the "snacks store" had nothing to eat. Simply not worth the low price - invest an additional 20-30 USD and go to a large hotel chain.
Free shuttle service when you arrive at Airport is very bad and they are never there, you have to call few times to have lucky to pick you up in 30-60 minutes.
Free shuttle from and to JFK airport is very convenient ant takes about 10-15 minutes. It starts from 4 am and departures every 30 minutes. The hotel itself is quite old (so the table in our room was little tainted) but the room itself was nice, quite clean, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast included, it was quite simple but still nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel does not have the bar, so if late arrival, you need to order food from catering companies around (it took us about 45 minutes to wait for the delivery). But the hotel provides about 5 or 6 catering companies menus. Also heating in the room is very poor! We travelled in January, it was pretty cold outside and inside, so we turned on the air conditioning in heating mode and waited for about an hour for the room to be warmer.
Transit in JFK, and their shuttle come with good service
I did like the room, the overall hotel.
The fact that they do offer shuttle service but never pitched to pick us up at the airport as arranged. The drop off where perfect...
There was nothing we liked!!
Did not tell us shuttle is only till midnight, room was dirty, no linen for kids, even though we booked for 4, no blanket, room was freezing cold and due to disabled son's condition can't sleep with aircon on, hairdryer did not work, breakfast disgusting.
Shuttle bus takes too long and bus driver is very rude. All the staff are rude as well. Breakfast in the morning sucks.
The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Very attentive to the guests, anticopating needs. The foliage outside the hotel gives off the impression of luxury although the prices are moderate. Overall the hotel was very nice and clean. Very similar to the pictures online. Great stay, would patron again.
I did not expect the Queen room to be so compact. Also, female security staff had unexpected attitude for a simple question- almost like she was unaware that the facility and stay would be rated, smh. Breakfast was provided but was hoping for a hot one. Nevertheless, the fruits were delicious!
The hotel was very easy to find. The rooms are small but was very comfortable for us. The price is good for an average hotel room.
Very thin walls. You can hear people in the hall ways at 4 am in the morning when you're trying to catch some sleep.
The build need lots of repairs.
Staff was a bit unconcerned and slightly rude.
