The Christmas atmosphere and the plant life very impressive !
Choice of eating places . Old faction ice cream parlor. Tried the mex , it was not like any I 've ever eaten at . Next visit I will probably go out for dinner
They did not have the rooms we ordered and all four rooms were forced to sleep on a fold out mattress. They stated that our rooms ordered, with a confirmed reservation, were not available and this was our only option. I will never stay at a Marriott or Gaylord location again. Try to find out where to send a letter about the service and if you do, please let me know. All of the phone lines are automated and I have waited more than 20 minutes on hold. Never Again
decorations, the whole facility, being with family, the room overlooking the conservatory.
crowds (but they were expected); bed was uncomfortable, but it was a sofa bed because no other rooms were ready when we checked in; food very expensive (but again, that was expected)
I like the facility and employees are friendly.
Jack daniels pub was horrible customer service starting with hostess we were took back how rude they were when we asked what type of food they served... Response a roled eye and sarcastic response burgers and a look that told us to go somewhere else. I could go on ... The food there was great as we went back to give a sec chance. When we got there an brought it up that they had more than burgers and told them how we were treated there was not any concern and waiters says funny you ordered Burgers in a rude way. We were taken back
Helpfulness of staff in answering questions. Christmas decorations.
Carriage ride was a ripoff. Not knowing which restaurants needed reservations and which didn't.
There was nothing we didn't like
Nothing! It was magical!
Christmas decorations galore. Amazing for all ages like winter wonderland then go see them. Food choice for all tastes and nothing too much trouble for any staff and always with a smile Thankyou
Nothing to dislike
Love to see all the lights and decorations at Christmas !! Spectacular!! A must see
property was decorated very nicely
1. too big of property for our taste service was lacking in several areas. 2. waited over 40 min in line at cafe for coffee 3. beds very poor you rolled into the center of the bed. 4. very very crowded hotel felt like you were in a dsiney park 5. staff needs some training elevator was full on several occasions with staff and they didnt get out to allow guest to get to lobby 6. too far from downtown and the bus service was overcrowded and had to wait for second bus they refunded our 4 transportation passes and we used uber @ 14 to 17 dollars to get back and forth was worth the extra $$$ not to fight the crowds 7. everything had a wait very busy time of year for them
did not get what I paid for
No apparent communication between departments when we were attempting to have our lodging problems resolved.
The place is beautiful with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
The price is just a little higher than I like to pay for a hotel. Even though it is beautiful to me it's not worth paying double other hotel prices.
Cory the bell hop was excellent and explained things well. Dawn at the front desk was wonderful to let me wait till our 4th party found us.
A bit pricey. The restaurant especially (Cascades). Ok food but not our favorite for the price.
Food was to expensive. Had to pay $20.00 a day to park
The Christmas decorations are lovely. There are so many things to look at and admire. We had difficulty with the key pass (parking lot) each time we entered or left the lot. There was always another vehicle or 2 there experiencing the same. It made my husband very nervous and frustrated. It seems maybe a scanner would be more simple (??)
We stated our arrival time would be between 3 and 4 PM. We arrived about 3:20 and were told our room was not ready but it should be in about an hour and we would receive a text. We strolled around the place for more than 2 hours and had not received a text. We went to the desk to ask how much longer. "Oh, your room is ready". Really, why didn't we get a text. We are in our early seventies and did not like roaming around for that time.
Gaylord has everything you need for a stay.
Too far from downtown.
Room clean and spacious although had to have a roll-a-way brought in. Maids were EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL!!
Poor check-in set up. Was directed to parking rather than check-in portico where bellhops were. Requested atrium view, had atrium view of roofs of lower restaurants and shops. A bit disappointing.
Everything was beautiful and the children loved the lights and decorations. It is a grand hotel.
The price for food is in excess of what needs to be. I realize that your cost to pay your worker is a lot ,however I fill that you do not need to triple the amount for food and lodging.
I loved how decorated it was & quite while we were there until Monday. Lots to see and do!
Prices to eat, cost to park a car. When all the high schoolers moved in on Monday. We got on the elevator to check out and 6 kids got out but before they did they pushed all the buttons on the elevator so we had to go to every floor.
The variety of things to do. You would never have to leave the hotel to have a wonderful experience! Plantings are lovely and well maintained. The ice show is incredible!
The lack of sit down breakfast restaurants especially over holiday and super busy time periods. You need more tables and chairs at the little coffee shops and benches around all the areas for people to sit and eat or just to rest. Not enough benches anywhere and not very handicap or mature friendly. Parking for hotel guests in the self park lots should be free. Thanksgiving buffet tasted good, but was highly overpriced with no special attractiveness. Lots of empty tables, but very attentive servers. Plantings should be identified with small signs for those interested.
the property itself is well done with 3large internal atriums. However you must walk through them to get anywhere and this place is big. There's a great deal to do without ever getting in your car.
You must walk great distances to get anywhere. Parking is $21+tax Self park and $28+tax valet. It is overpriced for comparable rooms elsewhere and it's just a nice Hampton in. Style room. If you are going to the Opry, you can walk without all the Opry Military Los shopping traffic but that's about the only advantage. I won't stay here again.
Atrium and Christmas lighting is remarkable.
Felt like I was at Disney. Money, money, and more angles to Nickel and dime you. Misled by staff a couple times causing headaches and stress not appreciated for a family stay. Will not be back!
Jr Beta Club Convention with thousands of Jr High students. We should have checked the hotel event schedule. They were everywhere.
