The gardens in the atrium.
Staff was good
Too expensive, no microwave or refrigerator, ask for king bed got 2 queens, food way over priced.
Dining and entertainment, shuttles to grand ole opry.
Beds were great, food was good,
Room smelled like vomit
The massages were great!
The lady at the counter was rude and could not find our reservation. We paid for a view with a balcony and a King size bed, and were put on the 7th floor without much of a view and no balcony. We were on our honeymoon and expected to be treated with more respect!
I did not receive the requested wake-up call.
I love opryland. 2nd stay and would stay again:)
Expensive dining and alcohol.
Extremely friendly well though through with an array of options and activites
The add ons, cost for parking, fee for use of facilities - when you book a hotel you expect the price you pay to be the final one.
Staff was very cordial and accomodating....when we had a problem with our car and might need an extra day
to find a crib in our room while we were gone...definitely not ours and no one seemed to know about it..
when you choose this to get away from reality it's a great place...
I had to look for another hotel because mine was canceled. I made a mistake booking Gaylord: to big, to unpersonal, to fake I did not like the way the so called free wifi worked, in the end we had to take payed wifi.... There was a party for conference people, we could not enter the delta wing one evening
The surroundings were lovely.
A tourist does not need a property this big. Visiting Nashville, one needs to be closer to the downtown.
I loved the atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings and the location was great.
The fact that they charge for parking and a resort fee ( whatever that is for). They should just say what the cost per night is upfront and not add stuff on. Then they charged me a fee to use a Visa. What the heck is that about.
We loved so many things about this property. The atriums, the sounds of the waterfalls and although there was a lot of hustle and bustle it still felt very private and calming
When we arrived we were given a map which meant absolutely nothing. The bellhop took us to our room and I feel he should've taken us through the atriums to show us more about the building on our way to our room however he did not he showed us the way to get to our room was from a zero ground level to the fourth floor of the garden by walking through several Corredor's with different color coded carpeting. It wasn't until our last day that we found that there were two other atriums and a much better way to get to our room with better scenery than the way the bellhop hop and Shonas and we specifically asked him if it was the best way to get to our room. Because of that we felt we had been short changed of all the opportunities we could have enjoyed at the facility
Great surroundings, very friendly staff, nice accommodations
Very expensive but was worth it for the environment, room was dated and beds not very comfortable, its seems to be more of a convention hotel...
Opryland Hotel is quintessential south! All staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Comfy beds!!! Quiet rooms. Beautiful indoor gardens!! Can't wait to go back.
Very large hotel, easy to get turned around while trying to find your room. Parking, whether valet or self parking is expensive.
The main areas of the resort was excellent. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. I love staying here because of the staff.
The rooms cleanliness was very poor; especially based on the price of the room. The size and location of the room was excellent. The furniture is beginning to show wear, but the floor was disgusting. It appeared stained and the edges of the carpet was caked with dust. The tile grout could use some bleach and scrubbing. There was trash, pills, dust and I'm afraid to imagine behind the head of the beds. This was our 2nd time staying in this location and the room cleanliness was an issue for me last time too.
Everything you need in this 'little city'
Lots of walking and prepare to get lost................ Also, have dollars on hand, tipping expected all the time and multiple taxes...so add about $50 to your room fee to include self parking or valet parking plus tax on either of those. Several taxes on resort fee of $18 and taxes for any other service you may want.
Excellent, but away from downtown. A destination of its own nevertheless.
The location and the public areas were excellent. We enjoyed the gardens, etc.
The check-in was not good - we were at the desk for about 30 minutes while they figured out how to assign the 3 rooms that had been booked. The prices were for a luxury hotel, but the rooms were definitely NOT - ok, but not worth the price, and not cleaned till LATE in the afternoon. It seemed short-staffed - waiting for the valet parking was horrendous - 30 minutes just to drop off!
rooms were beautiful decor & hotel gardens were spectacular staff was very helpful and always friendly close to the Opry & shopping shuttle buses were very handy
We would have stayed at the Opryland for the entire week we were there, but honestly, we couldn't afford it. So we stayed there for 2 nights and then changed hotels...it really was spectacular though but our 3 nights at the other hotel where we had free breakfast & wifi and no resort fees, parking fees, etc was half the price of a 2 night stay at Opryland. Most of the restaurants we would have liked to try didn't open until 5...which was too late if you had a show to see at 7 at the Opry. It would have been fabulous if they had a 24 coffee shop available for when you get back after the late show at the Opry!
It is a beautiful attraction to visit.
We were told we could check in around 3, but were not handed our room keys till 5:30, after having to ask to check on the status of the room, not having been cleaned yet. They as well gave us the wrong room and we had to ask for a roll away bed.
Loved the peartree martini's at Cascades bar :)
Our room accommodations were excellent the balcony was a perfect touch. Everyone was friendly and helpful with directions.
Check in was 2 hours late getting us into our room. We traveled over 9 hours to get to Opry land only to have to sit and wait. It took 3 times going to the counter t finally get a room. While I appreciate the late check out that is offered enough staff needs to be on hand to handle the turn over. The hotel is grand the lobby and beyond is one of the top foyers, the view from our balcony as well however for an older couple the amount of walking necessary to get from one location to another almost requires a golf cart.
