Color scheme, amenities and linens. Private and good air flow. Loved the little gas burning stove but didn't really need it.
Room is very small as other reviewers have noted. Maintenance is needed on door & threshold and picket fence just outside is in very bad shape.
Room was extremely comfortable and a great location.
WiFi was sporadic but not a big deal.
Charming property and tasteful furnishings; layout minimizes noise from neighbors. Franklin stove is connected to a thermostat to allow for consistent heating and makes sitting in the living room cozy. Location in Gearhart is quiet but adjacent to a small grocery store and bakery so we were able to pick up supplies to augment those we brought with us. Quality selection in both places (organic items in grocery store and "artisan" bread in bakery.) Friendly and responsive property owner!
We were there during a cold snap so floors in the bathroom and kitchen were very chilly. Bring slippers in the winter!
Tracy was very gracious and made us feel welcomed!
Very charming. Well decorated. Quiet at night. Loved the Franklin stove.
Bathroom needs more space for make-up, personal items.
After a horrible beginning to our trip (car accident), I called to say we would be late checking in. Staff was so accommodating, lights were on, door open & heat turned so the room was warm & cozy. Next day offered a ride so we could get a rental car. The room was fresh & had everything we needed. Looking forward to booking again!
Bedding was very comfy especially the pillows.
Very little privacy from flimsy covering over window in door. Mattress will need replacing soon.
The location, neighborhood quietness, nearby coffee and food, close to the beach. Not a resort feeling. Color and light decor of the rooms, kitchen with furnishings, large shower.
The TV is at an odd angle.
nice quite location a couple blocks to the beach with free bikes and an excellent restraurant next door. Would stay here again.
Ambience. It was in a central and charming location.
Even though it was super clean, I think I inadvertently slept on the "dog bed" bed - it had that faint but unmistakeable doggy smell. I love animals but would think it would be nice for them to have 1 or 2 non-pet units available.
yard for bonfires, very clean rooms, Cape Cod decor, slate floor and marble shower in bathroom. Staff was very helpful, friendly and DVDs were free to use in room player. Enjoyable all around. Full kitchen for your own food prep needs as well.
no air conditioning and room did get a bit hot and stuffy during the night, even with the window fan.
Older gay couple made to feel welcome at this nice historic property. A short walk to the beach and within walking distance of restaurants. We enjoyed staying at this quiet property away from the hub bub of Seaside and taking day trips further south on the Oregon coast and north to dinner in Astoria. We wish we had spent more nights of our week in Oregon.
Nice cosy place, well equipped nice fireplace.
Our time at the Inn was a dream! The visual impact of the cottages as we drove in convinced me we had chosen the perfect place for our relaxing vacation. The owner and staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming without being the least intrusive. The lovely decor and total cleanliness completed the picture of perfection. The kitchen held everything one would need for meals 'at home'. The Franklin fireplace in the living room made me yearn just a little for cold, rainy weather. That was not to be. So we happily enjoyed the sunny weather and our stay at this cozy, enchanting Inn. Take a few minutes and check out the private back yard garden with umbrellas over the picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, bistro sets - and lawn games if you want action. Bring a book in case you prefer relaxation. Be sure to have dinner - make reservations early - and lunch, at the excellent restaurant just around the corner. Enjoy morning specialty coffee and the best melt-in-your-mouth Danish pastries at the adjoining bakery, but get there early - they sell out fast. The nearby store and deli will make a good sandwich and salad for you for another day's lunch. Top it off with a Tillamook ice cream cone, or yummy homemade fudge at the candy and ice cream store just a few steps away. The Inn and the nearby amenities give the impression of staying in a small French village, sans an overseas flight!
The twin bed was somewhat uncomfortable. Perhaps a softer mattress (or topper) would help and some way to secure the mattress so it doesn't slide out of place so easily.
An excellent location near the beach and near an excellent restaurant, coffee shop, the beach and a golf course. VERY friendly and helpful staff.
Comfortable room with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave oven. There were books available in the room for reading, bicycles to ride and movies to view for no additional fees.
Could hear the neighbors in the next room.
Clean, cozy, I loved the small town atmosphere. Small homely place.
Just that my iPad didn't get a very strong connection but that is minor.
Charming and close to the beach, nice grass area with a fire pit and picnic tables
It rained while we were there ! : )
The decor was very cute, comfortable beds, extra tv in bedrooms
No a/c- the bedrooms were very hot, no way to ventilate. Tiny refrigerator. Bedrooms are just a few feet away from gravel driveway/parking lot which is loud with all the cars driving on it during sleep hours. It'd be nice if the parking lot was paved to cut down on noise.
This carefully restored, 60+ year old hotel supplies modern conveniences while maintaining its charm. Our one bedroom suite was lovely: very clean and well-equipped. Staff were very helpful and friendly. A restaurant, bakery/coffee shop and small grocer are all within a short block. Cottage style design, attention to detail, friendly staff and wonderful access to beaches and tourist spots all for reasonable rates ensure we will be returning.
layout of suite and location near beach
Limited space in bedroom for luggage
The inn was great, place . nice and quiet. we were treated like family. much welcome rest. great dog basket.
Very clean and quiet. The kitchen was well-supplied with all utensils.
Next time I will ask for a room (which I believe they have one) that does not have stairs.
Location lovely, room clean and well appointed, very pleasant decor.
Street light nearby shone into bedroom window. Apart from that everything was great
Very cozy. Excellent attention from the staff and owner. Free DVD's were a bonus. Cupcakes on arrival. Comfy king bed. Gas fireplace was great.
A touch on the small side, but everything was very good.
