.Not very well furnished, margional
the view, condo, closeness to beach and Meminnimins for eats.
The bed in room 666 was uneven and not the most comfortable.
Location(close to beach. walking distance) Clean house with full furniture, kitchen. Pet allowed. Nice interior.
It was close to the beach and the view was great!
Maybe have a selection of teas in the room, as well as coffee.
The view from the fourth floor Gearhart House was expansive and stunning. Beach was ideal for walking. Strong breezes and roar of the ocean made it deeply relaxing.
People (children?) upstairs a bit noisy at times. Couldn't leave bedroom window open due to corridor noise at night.
Panoramic ocean views plus the cape to the south. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Very quiet, though this may be a product of few guests.
This is about my sixth stay and I've never had a comfortable bed yet. The one on this visit was marginally better, but not great.
Very helpful and courteous service.
Cleaning staff did not return after coming by once when one of our party was in the room.
Kitchen, furniture was NOT comfortable, the bedding was horrible....
Location, staff, comfort, room had all we needed, cozy fireplace
Very dated sleeper couch which we hoped to use to sleep in the living room so we could hear the ocean was too uncomfortable so we had to sleep in the bedroom which faced the parking lot and where everyone was walking by our window ... Walls so thin that when someone started making morning noises (shower, get things from closets and drawers) at 6 am on Sunday, it woke us up way too early...
location between Astoria and Cannon Beach. The agreement with the Gearhart golf course saves golfers a dollar or two. The sand trap bar and grill next door.
The view of the Ocean
Very dark room. The condo needed a lot of updates. The TV remote did not work the TV was very old. Shower was very dirty looking on the bottom. There were cobwebs outside the front door it looked like they had never been removed. The light on the outside patio did not work.
We enjoyed the view and balcony. the kitchen was a plus. we enjoyed the space as compaired to a hotel. Parking was easy also.
having only 2sets of towels for 4 people. we didn't notice until late our first night. there also was not sheets for the hide abed. the next morning we called the front office and asked for sheets and towels. Someone was suppose to bring towels up, however we had to walk down to the office and get pool towels. they eventually came with towels and sheets and they verified there were not sheets in the closet only a blanket and pad. after that we did get towels. However we only had one bar of soap for the four of us for the three nights. the bed in the bedroom also smelled like smoke.
Nice big rooms, nice view. Comfortable beds.
Silverware was put away dirty, railing on back deck seemed unsafe.
Close to the ocean Great restaurant Friendly and helpful staff Lots of extra pillows and blankets
Suite needs a MAJOR update Suite needs a thorough cleaning
We loved the privacy and being close to the ocean. With a small child having a kitchen and room was great. The view was excellent and we loved looking out at the ocean daily. Being close to town bit out of the business was great.
The bed was a little uncomfortable and having the room next to the walk way was a little noisy at times and bright from the night time lights.
view, close to beach
unit could use some updates; screen and glass balcony doors were very hard to open and close
Location was convenient and quiet, VERY close to the beach either walking or driving. Pet friendly. Lot of guests with dogs and all are respectful of others Easy drive to Seaside for supplies and Cannon Beach is also very close
Our Deluxe Suite had a VERY hard mattress Traffic on 101 is ridiculous on the weekend...don't bother leaving the resort
Tami, front reception was delightful and helpful! Ocean view was good, not any view of the beach
No view of the beach.
Loved the view and the well stocked kitchen
Elevator had a funny smell
Lovely large one bedroom suite very nicely equipped.
Bedroom window let in too much light, making it difficult to sleep. Room could use some updating.
That it wasn't clear how to locate the pool.
Great value for summer traveling - much smarter than staying in Cannon Beach. Loved having a kitchen, separate bedroom, swimming pool and spa.
Broken hide-a-bed, and broken chair (with table).
The unit was spacious for our family with 3 kids (2teenagers). Full kitchen and pool was great.
The unit and the resort is a bit older, doors squeeked and it was hard to open them sometimes.
I've stayed several times and enjoy the view and the location as it is away from the tourist areas. The staff is just as amazing as I remember them from 10 years ago.
The bed was very uncomfortable. We stayed on the third floor and could hear everyone around us, from their conversations to those above us using the bathroom. Should have had more privacy for $200/night.
Unfortunately we were not told at the desk that we had to ask for the access to the exercise room. We were not asked either. And once there, the door not opening, there was not time to go back to the desk to ask. The hot tub was not hot every day, and there was no information posted at the pool about what was going on with it. I found while checking the room out for possible left items before leaving old candy wrappers and pistachio shells on the ground below the curtain of the living room area. And they were not ours... Also, it would be nice to have some "code" with the room cleaning service so they only change the towels if you place them in the bath tube. It would save your hotel water and electricity. It's the green, environmental correct thing to do!
