Single, tiny elevator slow as molasses. Television in our room pixelated--was unwatchable. On the second day, no washcloths.
We spent a long weekend in NYC, staying at the Evelyn. Location was great--accessible to subway, main avenues, local eateries. It took me a while to realize that the eclectic decor of the hotel lobby was intentional--a mix of groupings of secondhand furniture with a mid-century-ish feel in a kind of large, loft-like space. The hotel room, however, was refurbished in a hip, simple, New York style with a newly renovated bathroom with a great glass enclosed rain shower, subway tiles, and amusing musical motif. Comfortable king size bed and free wifi. No complaints. Especially appreciated the HVAC, which was quiet, and the room was not overheated like so many NY spaces are.
